Twinkle will tug at your every heartstring and tickle your soul.
I love Nathan Goodman’s writing, but I found this plot completely unbelievable. Phoenix is portrayed as learning in a few weeks enough CIA skills to murder 50 hardened killer thugs without taking even a scratch injury. And our experienced, CIA black ops hero turns into a trusting idiot after one night in bed with Phoenix. You can do and have done much better, Mr. Goodman.
Nathan Goodman does it again with a moving thriller. Gruesome and shocking in some aspects but understandable. Peyton has been wronged - time to clear her mind and anger, as if that is possible! Enjoy a quick read and exciting romp on the wild side.
Phoenix follows her instincts, whims. Kind of a thrill seeker. She decides to go into a hard core biker bar. A big mistake. She is brutally gang raped and beaten. She is saved by an individual unknown to her. Her kills several of the attackers. The press calls him the terminator. The chief of police wants him found and arrested for murder. The press and public view him as a savior. So does the lead detective. Her savior is an ex CIA agent. A virtual killing machine along with his partner . Phoenix wants revenge. This is an action thriller from the first to last page. Enjoyed immensely.
An unlikely heroine, a mysterious helper hero. Left questions as to who is the real subject of the book.both characters well portrayed and plot includes both until the end. If you like non-stop action this is the book.
Peyton Phoenix is a party girl going after the next big thrill and it takes her to a grungy biker bar one night. Big mistake, because the bikers attack and rape her and are in the process of beating her when a stranger enters the bar and proceeds to decimate the attackers leaving dead and injured and spiriting Peyton off to the local hospital and leaving inside a back door to be discovered. Thus begins the tale of Peyton's recovery and plans to rain down revenge on the biker gang. My only gripe with the book is the ever present lack of authors and editors (if any) who don't know or don't care for the proper use of lay, laid, etc. One of my pet peeves.
Wow what a good start to a new series. Peyton Pheonix is certainly some character. However her life is about to change from the moment she walks into a South Texas biker bar. As she is being brutally assaulted she is rescued by an unknown stranger who leaves a scene of death and destruction behind.
After a long recovery, the stranger teaches Peyton how to fight back and defend herself. We are then taken on an amazing, excitingly thrilling ride as we watch Peyton develop into a strong female protagonist.
This, Goodman novel, was again one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read I quite a while. I keep trying other authors, but keep coming back to Nathan Goodman for a really great read.
Action, suspense, heroes, bad guys, all in one place. Great characters, great action and intrigue. Reality check: Survival vs "morals". It kept me up late until I finished. I want more.
I loved the build up in this book, and getting to know the protagonists. After a bit of a mysterious start it doesn't take long for things to change. Usually we have either a male or female kick - ass character. Here we get both. Action packed and leaving the door open for plenty more where this came from.
