The hero as a young man was pretty wild and made a bet to sleep with the h who he did not realize was a virgin. She overheard his friend laughing about the bed and he left her $100 at her bedside. Pretty horrible start. She became pregnant. He didn't share his real name so she sees him on tv a few years later and later confronts him about her pregnancy. He has changed for the better and steps up to his responsibility to his child and mother. Real good grovel for more than half of the book.

Sweet Temptation: Chellie & Siran (The Royal Vow Series Book 4) is my first reading of a love story in The Royal Vow Series. I met the author when she and I worked together during a manuscript evaluation of this book. As a reader of the romance genre, I enjoyed this story very much. The author takes a realistic approach in developing the romance between Chellie and Siran, and the story is filled with action and momentum that make you want to stay with it as these two people try to find their way to each other. In the course of the developing romance, you meet many of the wonderful characters from previous books. The best part is that these characters don't take anything away from Chellie and Siran's story, but you'll still be glad you met them. The conflict between these two lovers, the novelties Chellie is forced to face and a wonderful sexual tension all keep you reading and pulling for this couple until you finish the book. Don't miss out on your opportunity to read and enjoy this story.

Chellie’s life changed when she became pregnant after a night of passion, and the man seems to have been an unmitigated jerk. As mother to an unplanned son, “her life had revolved around him and learning to be the best mom she could be, and little by little they had taught each other.” The mother-child aspect adds sweetness to the story.

Almost four years pass before Chellie sees Siran again, bringing sparks of anger and passion. Can the attraction they both feel bridge the difference between their stations in life, and heal long-held wounds of betrayal? The romance develops to a satisfying conclusion.

About what I expected from the hints the previous stories in the series indicated. Siran was basically a man whore, at least for a time. I very much enjoyed Shellie, she is strong, feisty and a great mom. Seeing these two stumble around was a pleasure.

The extra scenes were great.
