The Shadowmasters miniseries was actually more interesting than the Punisher issues. I wasn't familiar with Dan Lawlis but his art was great. The Shadowmasters are a family of ninjas who get in a conflict with Japanese Nationalists who want to restore Imperial Japan after World War II. It was actually very well written and interesting.
The Punisher issues have some appearances of The Shadowmasters. Jim Lee and Erik Larsen provide the art. The early Marvel Jim Lee art looks fantastic. Carl Potts is a multidimensional talent. He wrote most of the issues and did layouts and inks on some of the issues.

This is definitely good stuff Potts is quality and Jim Lee's art stunning. But yeah story drags a lot at times.
