The USA has opened it's embassy in Jerusalem with rioting, fighting and unrest exploding in the area! Amid this the leaders of Israel and Palestine are secretly scheduling a meeting of negotiators to come up with a deal that will ensure peace between the long time enemies. An amazing concept that would bring the countries together, but civilians are troubled about all they hear, then an assassination team arrives intent on ending the negotiators and the Talks!! Being a long time, close friend of the Mossad leader, Zeb is asked to come investigate, which he does...but..So many do not want peace, there are leaders, educated business men and housewives..All with questions, getting no where..Zeb calls in the Twins for assistance when too many are after him.. A truly explosive adventure through the news headlines of today, with twists that surprise and actions that amaze! Superb characters to love and hate, a 5 Star read from an author who continues to deliver again and again!! I received an ARC from author Ty Patterson, who I thank for an exceptional reading experience and I give you my thoughts in this review hoping you will join the many who enjoy 'The Warrior' books!!!
Wow! Just wow! I have come to the conclusion that Ty Patterson is either a retired secret agent or was one in a former life! I have only one complaint about this book--well two. First, it was pretty long to have to read in one sitting, but who could put it down? Second, it ended!
It cannot be easy to take real-life world politics and put in into an exciting page turning book. This author makes it look easy. There are a lot of characters. A lot of important people and agencies. Still, this book has all the twists and turns and amazingly skilled bad guys. Zeb is hard on himself and allows no room for error. We get to see him bring some of the team (two of my favorites) to help him with this one.
It is difficult to tell much about the story without giving away the incredible ending. One of the reasons Zeb is such a compelling hero is that everything doesn't come immediately. He does figure a lot out but even he can't figure out everything every time. He also gets some injuries. While he is a superhero he isn't Superman.
DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK. It will keep you riveted. What a shame there are only five stars. available.
This is another riveting story hard to put down. Mr. Patterson is at the top of his game and has provided once more a fast paced, exciting adventure played out by his most loveable although deadly characters: Zeb and the twin sisters Beth and Meghan. No worries, this second book can be read on its own merits.
The plot is as current as today’s news: a plan for peace between Israel and Palestine. In this exciting suspense, Israel is on the brink of war when Mossad is accused of murdering Palestinian peace negotiators. Zeb Carter will go to any means to find out who was behind the attack even if all hell breaks loose in doing so…of course it will…and following Zeb is a roller coaster ride from start to finish. I am a huge fan of this author and love how graphic his stories are, I could visualize each scene as clearly as if I was seeing it on the big screen. The action is very suspenseful and I was kept on the edge of my seat following everything and hoping Zeb and the twins will do their magic. In “The Peace Killers”, not only we have terrific protagonists but we also have a huge cast of equally intelligent and capable good and bad characters. Stay alert, concentration is needed to keep track of the comings and goings but it is well worth it.
I join those who say that Mr. Patterson’s books are always relevant and address today’s issues….well-done as always.
This series is a spin off to the Warriors thrillers series
If action / suspense is your genre of reading don't hesitate to read the Zeb Carter series. Ty Patterson has taken a modern-day issue and conflict creating a story that takes you to these conflicted locals and puts us right in the middle of the story. You will be riveted to the pages with the swiftly changing and dangerous situations Zeb Carter encounters along the way. Ty Patterson's writing style is to give you the fast-paced story without slowing down for every tiny detail of how something works. This is the second book in the Zeb Carter series and can be read as a standalone. If you have been reading the Warrior series you will recognize the twins Beth and Meghan from that series. I enjoyed reading this novel and look forward to the next.
The powder keg that is the Middle East. Peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis. An assassination team bent on killing the Palestinian negotiators and derailing the peace process. Into the volatile mix comes Zeb Carter and fellow operatives, the twins, Meghan and Beth. Together with Mossad they attempt to unravel the conspiracy and unmask the perpetrators.
A tense, tightly plotted thriller with solid, likeable and realistic characters and action enough to keep one perched on the edge of one's seat whilst the story unfolds.
The Peace Killers is the second book in the Zeb Carter series. You can read this as a standalone. But it makes more sense if you have read more of the author's books about Zeb. They are well worth taking the time to read to fully understand this unusual character. There is violence. I loved this book! It is different from most of the other Zeb Carter books. While I doubt the events in this book would occur, it is nice to dream that they could.
The Peace Killers - Zeb Carter Thrillers Bk 2 - Written by Ty Patterson Failure was NOT an option, Zeb under more pressure than ever BEFORE!
Assassinating The Palestinian Negotiators Was The Beginning. Nothing Would Be The Same Again 'You know what's happened?' Avichai Levin, Director of Mossad, was grim. Zeb Carter nodded. Mossad was accused of assassinating Palestinian negotiators. 'You've seen the situation in the streets?' 'Yeah.' Riots had broken out in Gaza and in the West Bank. Israel's enemies had threatened war if the assassins were not produced. Islamic terrorists had vowed revenge. 'I can't trust anyone. That's why you are here,' Levin continued. 'I want you to investigate my operatives. Find out who's responsible. Stop them.''They will be hostile,' the director carried on, bleakly. 'Be prepared for anything. If the traitors are not stopped, they will kill again. The Middle East will explode. Other countries will join in —' Zeb cut him off by rising. He headed out to begin his most lethal assignment. To take on the most lethal operatives in the world, Mossad's kidon. If he failed, the next world war would start in Israel.
What did I like? Wow, my man in a world of hurt in this one. This is one of the most detailed and action riddles books that Ty Patterson has written so far in these series. I for one LOVED IT! If life would just not interfere with my reading I would have read it straight through. It was really, really hard to stop.
What will you like? Deadly action, well written, unbelievable twists and turns at every stop, Zeb working hard to bring it all to an end. Loved the addition of the twins adding to the plot as it thickened with every page! Thriller is putting it mildly, the deadly action is not strong enough and lethal with every step he took! Just wish again that he was REAL! Don’t miss this one, you won’t be sorry! I received this from the author for an honest review with no other compensation.
It is quite difficult to write a comprehensive review of this book without giving out spoilers so this is just going to be several general comments about the story. Firstly, the central character, Zeb Carter, he has appeared in a lot of books by now, and is a great hero figure, what I particularly like is that while he is brilliant at what he does, he does get it wrong occasionally and he does get injured, also, although he is tremendously capable, sometimes he does need help and accepts this and this humanity is what makes him so believable.
The plot is very contemporary and has its roots in the ongoing Israeli conflict, but it takes this reality and spins around it an exciting and unpredictable tale of terrorism, assassinations and international diplomacy. Mr. Patterson isn't afraid to use characters from his other series, and in this case, two of his crew from other series arrive to get his back.
Again another of this author's trade marks is that the 'bad guys' are as believable as the 'good guys.' In a lot of adventure books the heroes are are all very intelligent and capable, but the 'baddies' are bumbling idiots (to one degree or another), but thankfully that isn't a trap that this book falls in to.
There are a lot of characters, and this book repays a degree of concentration, otherwise it is all too easy to get overwhelmed by keeping track of who is who and what they are doing, pay attention reader! But it is a very exciting, tense and clever thriller which will keep you on the edge of your seat right up to the end.
I received an advance copy of this book, but I have voluntarily written this review.
This is Patterson's second novel using Warrior series hero, Zeb Carter, in a stand-alone story.
Carter has been asked by the Israeli government to track down and identify if Kidon (Israeli special operations assassins) have assassinated Palestinian representatives who were working with the Israelis on a secret plan for peace between the two nations. In the meantime, most of the countries in the world are blaming Israel for their deaths.
But his investigation if fraught with danger as firefights continue. But, the head of the US State Department arrives on the scene to assist in the peace talks. In the meantime, Carter asks twins Beth and Meghan to come to Israel to help him as he attempts to find the killers. A few other of his previous characters from the Warrior series assist him from afar.
This is a seriously complicated, involved story and one of Patterson's best so far. If you are not already a fan, then you must dive in. Once you do, you will be tempted to read all of his books.
I liked the first book a lot, so I had high expectations going into this one. I ended up loving this one even more!
I found it hard to put down (darn life getting in the way of reading time), and the story kept me engaged throughout.
I always thought I wasn't a fan of books where the plot was largely based around politics. Any I have tried, I found extremely boring. This, however, was riveting and all of the characters added something to the story.
What I love about Zeb Carter is that while he is clearly a major badass, he isn't some perfect cookie cutter hero. We get to see his thought process of trying to figure things out, injuries do happen and he's not always right.
It was such a fun read and I can't wait to read more of Zeb's adventures!
As usual Ty has given us another block buster. Zeb and the twins take on the Israel/Palestine situation in the Middle East. This international story takes us also from the USA to Russia. Great cast of characters with absolute non stop action means a sleepless night for us avid readers. Guarantee you won’t be able to put this one down. If you’re not reading The Warrior series you are missing the best action/adventure fiction available today.
This is one of Tv's best stories and demonstrates his growth and depth as a wrjter. He hooks the reader in and you don't want to stop till you reach the last page. The characters are so believable and real you feel like you are reading about a live person. I was holding my breath during the attack on the hotel and hoping Zeb couldwork his magic again. Highly recommend The Peace Killers and all the other works by Mr. Patterson.
I have immensely enjoyed all of Ty Patterson's books in the Zeb Carter series. The Peace Killers, in my opinion is hands down the best! A peace treaty between Israel and Palestine is in the works. The Palestinian negotiators are assassinated. Who are the killers? The assassin's? This masterfully written novel bursts with action, intrigue and betrayal. A magnificent read!
Israel and Palestine are to be negotiating for Peace. The US will open an embassy there. Then the negotiators for Palestine are assassinated Once again Zeb puts on disguise, he is working inside, he misjudge, he feels he failed, but did he really. A page from history that seems real, the plot is captivating.
I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I really enjoy this author. This series is my absolute favorite. This book is really good. Set in Israel with Mossad and Kidon in it. It had alot of action with Zeb, Beth and Megan working with Mossad. Great storyline.
Great action mixed with a compelling story! Many times you get a larger than life main character, Patterson sticks to an entertaining and believable story line that keeps you reading start to finish and is hard to put down!
Great narration. I think I skipped a book in the series, as it seemed I should know the twins. But it didn’t detract in any way from the story. Zen Carter is a believable character - smart and strong, but not infallible. An interesting tale, given the current tension in the Middle East.
Started at lunchtime finished by bedtime. Genuinely was not going to sleep until I had read it all. Excellent read. Zeb being Zeb doing what he does best
I really enjoyed this book. I thought is was a little more intense than usual, which was a definite positive. Definitely makes you think! I highly recommend it. 📚📚📚
This author has a gift for writing believable action stories. The character development is excellent and the intertwining of current events keeps the reader engaged. My only complaint is that the book ended. I want more!
