This is the first in a series featuring Detective Josie King, who after witnessing her father's murder, begins to look into an old case he had been working on. This case reaches high into the Catholic church and uncovers an underworld of dark religious fanaticism.

This was a really interesting read and a great introduction to Josie, who despite the situations she finds herself in, had me laughing when perhaps I shouldn't have been. Robin has created a solid foundation for this series. The pace never slows and the tension mounted as I wondered if Josie had tried taking on more than she could manage.

This is the first book of Robin's I've read and I'm looking forward to reading more.
