In the first installment of this series, Nirvana James and Roland Washington’s love was ignited and then put to the test of standing against time by his deployment. That year proved to be more of a test than either of them could have ever imagined - especially Nirvana. Chasing her dreams came right along with twins Trell and Trez ultimately vying to occupy her most valuable possession. Her heart. A heart that belonged to Roland Watson. Upon Roland’s return and reclaiming of Nirvana’s love, merging their new lives isn’t exactly as easy as the merging of their hearts has always been. It’s been said that with elevation comes separation, and that’s the last thing Nirvana wants from Roland. As careers take off and love abounds, hurdles arise, and an unexpected heartache threatens the fate of Roland and Nirvana’s relationship. Will their love fizzle and fade away, or will they ultimately reach that perfect state of nirvana?
This series is on point. Nirvana and Roland may be young in age, but not in mind, body, and soul. I love that he brought her to God and that she is able to establish her own relationship with him. I'm glad that they became cordial with Trell and Trez because they were there for her when Roland was gone. Yes, things ended on a sour note, but they learned from it. Forgiveness is key to healing. When she was able to confront her dad and Breisha's family that helped her heal and forgive. Roland is there for all of it, but he put his foot down on what he's willing to put up with. I admire their vow to forego sex until marriage, even though they had already indulged. But to know they cared about each other's soul like that is inspiring.
This author has gained my attention with this series, so I happily recommend it to anyone. After reading about the characters, what they went, and how they survived and became successful in spite of, you'll forget that they are young. Their experiences are gut wrenching and you can't help but to admire their strength. This story covers so many topics that people deal with daily and is told in a way to be motivating to others. I shed tears and laughs while reading. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series, and I'm looking forward to reading more stories from this author. She has gained a new fan in me.
Let me tell you when I read Nirvana Part 1 I was done, this child had more issues than any child ever needs to experience in their life. Nirvana Part 2 did not disappoint and came with the same whirlwind of emotions.
I am glad that Nirvana grew in such a short amount of time and that things worked out for her in the end. I was rooting for her all the way, but she had me worried for a while.
Roland is the strong man that she needs in her life and I am glad that she was able to settle into her happy with him. It was refreshing to see that they were able to work out their relationship issues between them, Trez and Trell.
Nirvana's happy ending was well deserved, including the wrapping up her issues with her father and the things he put her through in life. The ending was satisfying and well worth the read. Maybe now we'll see additional novels on Trez and Trell finding the love of their lives and her father's road to recovery with a second chance at love and getting it right.
I never thought I would enjoy a story where the main characters were teenagers a good majority of the story but I was wrong. The way this story was written made you forget about Nirvana and Roland’s age and endear yourself to them. Nirvana’s path was so turbulent but her storm pushed her to her purpose. Her gifting was scary at first but I loved the moment when she finally embraced it. And always in tune, Roland was right there by her side. I hate she had to detour with the twins but those mistakes were for her making. Many would say she had enough going on in her life but those were the mistakes of the adults who were supposed to guide her. I feel she learned more and grew more by overcoming her mistakes and the unconditional and unwavering love Roland had for her. Great series!
Roland and Nirvana went through a lot to be so young. They definitely grew to be some pretty good young adults when it's all said and done. I liked the different viewpoints in this one versus just Nirvana in the first book. Trell and Trez fell under the spell of Nirvana, with Trell having a harder time letting go. Nirvana had me shaking my head a few times with some of her decisions, but she was still a 18-19 year old finding her way. Roland had a great head and heart. After his rough past he could have done just about anything, but he knew what he wanted. Parker, smh poor child, she was funny to me. Overall, it was a good tale of two young people trying to let go of their horrible pasts and build a better future.
The conclusion of Nirvana's story was heartwarming and uplifting. I'm always a sucker for (believable) stories of spiritual redemption and getting on the right track towards one's fulfillment of their destiny. This story didn't disappoint and there were several jaw-dropping scenes as well as a few self-discovery moments that were unexpected but very fitting, in the context of the story's plot.
The series was good from start to finish and wasn't filled with any "shock factor" language or violence. Just a not-too-uncommon story of a teenager's journey towards self-discovery and self-actualization, with its associated ups and downs.
I would definitely recommend this series to young (& older) adult readers of realistic fiction.
No bad words to say about this novel. I loved and hated nirvana and I think that goes to show how AWESOME this author is!!! I’m glad she decided to make it multi points of view from various characters because I loved getting inside Roland’s mind! The growth they showed in their relationship from beginning to end was amazing. I’m glad they worked out the kinks. I’m rooting for her best friend to have her happy ending. I want all of these characters to win as if they are real life ppl!!! This author did a phenomenal job and I can’t wait to read more from her!!!
What can I say besides this book was wonderful?! Alexis wrote the mess out of this book. Nirvana and Roland were hit with tests left and right, but they made it through. I can't really leave the review I would like to leave because this book is still really fresh and I don't want to spoil it. I will and do recommend this read to everyone because its just that good. The 4 main characters had come a long way and I'm so glad the ending turned out to be a great one. Great, great job Miss Lady! You did your thang.
I LOVED Roland and Nirvana’s story. I loved the display of struggle, triumph and forgiveness. This story effortlessly showed what it can look like when the Creator writes your story and you follow His lead. He doesn’t forget about anyone. He makes masterpieces out of broken lives, if you’ll Iet Him. Alexis you did that boo! I loved loved loved this series! ❤️
Nirvana& Roland had a love that leaped off the page and pulled you in. There was something about Nirvana that made the twins love her despite the situationship they found themselves in. After all she went through she came out on top. The author did an excellent job of leaving you wanting more. Hopefully One or both twins will get a spin off.
The journey of watching Nirvana grow and flourish was amazing to see. I loved getting more from Tez and Trell this time around. There were many moments of joy, sadness, pain, and anger in this book but I loved every moment of part 2!! Roland and Nirvana are definitely added to my collection of favorite book couples!!
I enjoyed the spiritual growth of this couple and how their relationship stood the test of time! I would like to read a book with Trell and Trez and how they fall in love and grow as well.
Roland and Nirvana is the definition of pure love and what God explain what love is. The book focus on forgiveness and love. Everyone should read tp realize life to short. Great frost series
Nirvana & Roland had their share of ups & downs but by golly those ups were definitely the business! With everything that they had been through, God took them to another level. Trell & Trez were something else but the relationships were definitely a definition of growth.
