For the past two years, Ginny Baird has invited readers to visit Christmas Town, Tennessee, an idyllic small town full of friendly people and magical charm. Legend has it that bakery owner Lena Winchester created what’s called Virginia Cookies, as a way to lift the spirits of those in town during the Great Depression. Back then, Lena only made one type of cookie to inspire all. Today, Lena’s great-granddaughter Hannah Livingston runs the Christmas Cookie Shop from the same location. For one day a year, Hannah makes and sells out the Virginia Cookies. Using her great-grandmother’s recipe, Hannah makes three different types of cookies to inspire love, forgiveness and good deeds. People from far and wide believe in the cookie inspirations. But are these beliefs simply one’s sub-conscience believing all the hype or is there truly something special about these cookies. In Noelle’ Best Christmas, Christmas Town reveals itself.
Noelle Christmas is Christmas Town’s hometown girl who left to pursue her dream of being a journalist. Currently a newspaper reporter in Raleigh, Noelle is tasked with writing a human interest story on her hometown and the appeal of the Christmas Cookie Shop. While Noelle is writing the story, it’s photojournalist Tom Wilson’s job to document the town through photos. The pair has three weeks to write the story and capture the essence of Christmas Town. Unbeknownst to either of them, Christmas Town has been waiting on them and this Christmas will be one they will never forget.
Noelle and Tom are both in their mid-twenties and after earning master degrees are embarking on their chosen careers. Neither is looking for love, but that doesn’t mean fate and love aren’t looking for them. While these two work on discovering more about Christmas Town, they also discover “There’s no better place for discovering Christmas magic and falling in love than Christmas Town.” Noelle and Tom are both wonderful characters. They have their funny moments, but they also have their sweet romantic moments. I loved watching them navigate their way through truly falling in love for the first time and discovering just what being with the one can inspire. Noelle’s Best Christmas is the eighth and final book in the series. It is a standalone read, however I think reading The Christmas Cookie Shop and Only You at Christmas, will make certain events in the book just a little bit more special.
I’ve read all the books in the Christmas Town series, and there are not enough words to convey how I feel about this series. I’m just going to say it, Ginny has potentially ruined me for any other Christmas series. Her writing allows you to visualize this charming town. She manages to infuse the magic and spirit of Christmas into year heart, no matter the time of year you read the stories. It’s like she literally teleports you into the pages.
Little Virginia O’Hanlon once asked if Santa Claus was real. The answer is yes. As long as you believe in love, the goodness of man, and have a pure heart, anything is possible. That includes Christmas magic, for Christmas magic flows through us, just as our blood does. The residents of Christmas Town may not see Santa, but there’s no denying he’s touched each and everyone of their lives. If you’re looking for a sweet romance book that transports you to a magical place, where love has no bounds, and friendship is open and endless and you truly do feel the essence and magic of Christmas, then I highly recommend Ginny Baird’s Christmas Town series.
**Received a copy of the book from the author and voluntarily reviewed.**
As this book begins, the main characters, Noelle and Tim, are researching and creating a newspaper article about Christmas Town, Tennessee. This is Noelle’s hometown and she has deep historical as well as magical roots in the community. Triggered by true love, Christmas magic is alive and well in this town. Tim who is the photographer of the pair starts seeing glimpses of magic associated with Noelle almost from his arrival in the the town. The bakery interview leads to more insights into the history of the town. Magical Virginia cookies lead Tim and Noelle to the realization that they love each other. The plot moves fast as the reader realizes that Tim also has connections to Christmas Town. This story is a perfect blend between past and present as it uses the vehicle of the newspaper article and researching for interviews as a means to reveal information. Particular Christmas magic specific to individual characters personalized making the character traits believable. Great ending to this series. It’s always nice to see a happy ending. I received an ARC. I would highly recommend this book.
Noelle’s Best Christmas is part of Ginny Baird’s fabulous Christmas Town series. I think this one is one of my favorites of the series. I loved Noelle and Tom. I highly recommend this book for those who are looking for a sweet and heartwarming story that involves a magical Christmas. Also, one that will make a reader laugh out loud.
Loved it!
A well deserved five plus stars.
I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
I have loved this series and am going to miss Christmas Town as this is the last book in the series. Noelle is back in town to do a story and Tom is assigned to be her photographer. Tom is discovering the magic of Christmas Town and a there are a few secrets that involves him. Noelle is discovering her own magic. As with some of the others, it has come at a time that isn't always convenient. Will Tom and Noelle find their forever love and stay in Christmas Town?
I have enjoyed this seres so much and I'm sad to see it end. But such a great story to the ending of it.
Noelle has followed her dreams and is writing for a big city newspaper. And now she has the joy of writing about her hometown and the people she loves. Along for the photographic portion is Tom, whom she secretly has a crush on. But once they're in Christmas Town strange things gs start to happen and she wonders....is this way her family has been talking about?
Tom is enjoying his time with Noelle. And even more as the days go by. She's beautiful, talented and sweet. And her town ad family make him yearn for it. With their questioning of her family, he learns an important and unknown secret about his own family. Something that even Noelle didn't know. One that brings him even close to Christmas Town.
With their growing feelings, Noelle has to learn t control her secret abilities. Does this mean Tom is her one true love?? Does he feel the same?? Will they each find their own the love and the magic of Christmas??
Noelle's Best Christmas wraps up the Christmas Town books and I loved the "full circle" theme. It was a fitting conclusion.
Noelle Christmas is home in Christmas Town on a newspaper assignment to write a story about the Christmas Cookie Shop and the town in general. Joining her is photojournalist, Tom Wilson. When Tom gets to town, he has a growing sense of déjà vu. How can that be when this is his first time to be there? Well, it's an interesting solution to read about.
Not only does the reader get to know Noelle and her budding relationship with Tom, but we get to see how Christmas Town has grown over the past 7 books and also a glimpse into its future. If you've read all the books, you will feel completely satisfied with this as a conclusion. It will all make sense as some of the mysteries are revealed.

I loved learning more about Christmas Town and its’ history as he and Noelle searched for answers. And the way everything came together was absolutely perfect!
I loved this book! But had mixed feelings when I finished it. I let out a happy sigh and had a smile on my face, but was sad that this brings the series to a close. What a great way to end, though! I will miss Christmas Town…but there are always rereads. :)

What a ride it has been with this Christmas Town, Tennessee series – I feel like I have been on a sleigh ride with the reindeer leading the way through the sky. I giggled and laughed when the magic happened. Noelle’s first reaction when she looked at Tom in a more romantic way was priceless. Their research and working together to publish an article for the newspaper they both work for in North Carolina was enlightening. Things come full circle in Christmas Town between the families. I loved Noelle and Tom’s story. It was fun watching them work together discovering more about the magic of Christmas Town. Tom and Noelle are such a sweet and caring couple. It is a happy and sad moment saying goodbye to all our friends from Christmas Town.
This is a sweet, cute, heartwarming, and magical series. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I truly enjoyed reading this book! It's a heartwarming & magical story. Noelle is home to spend the holidays in Christmas Town. She is joined by her co-worker, Tom to write an article & take pictures of the Christmas Cookie Shop & it's famous Virginia Cookies. Magical things started to happen around both Noelle & Tom, along with their feelings for each other. I loved everything about the story! Sad for the series to end. Ginny Baird has given us eight wonderful Christmas stories to enjoy! 🎅
I absolutely loved this series. I truly hope there is more to come. I am a lover of all Christmas and having this little Christmas Town made me have wished of a real kne. The characters are so believable in each book you start to feel like they are part of your friends and family.
I think this is my favorite of the series. You learn so much about the town and the two main families. Tom and Noelle are such a cute couple and I loved how they worked together as a work team and as a couple. A circle being joined back together!!! Just wish it didn't have to end!!!
These eight series of books written by Ginny Baird were written with such whimsy and wonderful characters and situations. Each character was brought to life with love and charm that I could hardly put the books down. I recommend these books to everyone.
Going in, I knew that this book would finish the series, but not the ending to Christmas Town. I loved seeing all of the families again. Seeing how the children were now teens. I loved the history that was shared and how all had come home to Christmas Town. The circle was now complete.
The story of Noelle is the last in the long series of Christmas Town tales. Yes this little Miss Christmas is also experiencing the quirks of her family traits and yet she's unsure if she's in love. Tom Wilson is a photographer and a colleague she respects. She doesn't want to mess up their professional relationship if nothing comes off their personal one. However the Christmas Cookies demand to be eaten, and strangely enough Noelle isn't the only one experiencing strange happenings around.
