I thought I was just getting a boring book on plants, but the author was so witty and delightful I enjoyed the entire book. Highly recommend if you need a houseplant book to get you started, but are dreading such a boring read. It had details and instructions for everything and enought light hearted humor to keep you interested.

Loved this book, because it didn’t overwhelm me. The author focused on ten easy to grow yet extremely useful herbs and provided some excellent recipes to use the herbs, such as creams, balms, lotions, teas and so forth.

There wasn’t much about actual growing techniques. Rather the focus was on the healing properties and how to make simple yet, very useful concoctions with the herbs. She also discusses different aspects we have to be cautious about when using these herbs.

The herbs included in this book are
- Aloe Vera
- Lavender
- Rosemary
- Chamomile
- Lemon Tree
- Sage
- Dandelion
- Calendula
- Broccoli Sprouts
- Mint

The photography is lovely and will provide the reader with wonderful interior decor ideas.

I appreciate the book as I make conscious choices in my life to improve my health by what I allow in my environment, body and spirit.
This body opened up a new world to me in language that I could understand.
The chapters were short, informative and had illustrations.
The book just didn't speak on the positive but also provided the side effects, recipes, how to care for the plant.
I am excited about my new journey and also reading other books that will bring unity to my world.

The author was entertaining to read, but I was disappointed because of the mismatch between title and content. The book focused entirely on herbal remedies and benefits. It was just a side note that you could grow these herbs as houseplants. Granted, I found the topic interesting, so I kept reading, but it's not what I wanted when I picked up the book.

Overall this was a good book, but I was hoping that it was go more in depth and discuss more types of plants and herbs. This would be a great book for a beginner, or someone just getting into house plants. If you’re a more experienced gardener then I would skip this one. However this was still a good book, and I enjoyed the layout of information and beautiful pictures.

Informative book on how one can grow various important plants indoors which are beneficial to our health and ways of using them for medicinal purposes. Some of those mentioned are Sage, Chamomile, Rosemary, Lavender, Aloe Vera, Dandelion, Calendula, Mint, etc. along with tea, wine, smoothie, salad recipes and more.
Even how to grow and care for a lemon tree indoors.

This book is more about herbs than house plants. Lots of good info on various health benefits and a couple good examples of what to do with each herb, but very little on troubleshooting how to successfully grow them.

great information.

Wonderful run down on houseplants and their benefits.
I was disappointed with the errors in the editing particularly in the recipe sections. One plant is the subject but another different plant was stated.
An enjoyable and informative read none the less.

I read this slowly over a couple of months. There is a lot of information here but more medical advice than I was looking for.
