Not submitting a rating because I did not finish this book

I feel that intuition is an important concept and wanted to understand it more. Unfortunately this book came off quite quickly to me as a pseudoscience. I believe the evidence of this is the lack of a bibliography or references to any peer-reviewed research.

To be fair, I only got to page 22 but had to stop when I read the following:

... He gave a "go ahead" to these and said "no" to the city he felt queasy about. A few months later he learned that this city had been devastated by a major hurricane. Needless to say, he was very glad he had chosen to trust that gut feeling.

The context above was about a business owner trying to decide where to expand business operations.
That type of leap is not something I can accept. Not wanting to completely dismiss the book, I skimmed to the end to see what else was there. I started reading Chapter 26 that tries to make the case for intuition can be used to win the lottery. I made the decision to no go further with the book.

My intuition is telling me that this book is a waste of time and that Annie Duke's literature on decision making is much more researched and applicable. The advice that his book hands out sounds interesting and I want to learn more about, but all the anecdotes aren't backed up by any substance.

The endless quotes got a bit repetitive for me.

الكتاب جيد و له من اسمه نصيب فهو مبني على الحدس. الكثير من مواضيع الكتاب مبنية على حدس المؤلفة و اراءها الشخصية بالإضافة لسرد لبعض المواقف حدثت للكاتبة او رويت لها.
و لكي أكون صادقا لا أحب هذا النوع من الكتب الذي لا يعتمد على الحقائق العلمية و الدراسات الأكاديمية و التجارب الاجتماعية و شعرت للحظة و كأني في جلسة "سوالف" مع الأصدقاء.
هذا لا يعني ان الكتاب سيء يوجد في الكتاب حلول اعتبرها جيدة نوعا ما لاستخدام الحدس و أهمية توظيفة و طرق تطويره و لكن بنسبة قليلة.
