Desperate times, desperate magic.

I finally have the Book of Shadows. The pages call to me, begging me to devour their hidden power. There are more than just spells inside, and there are things only the High Priestess can see.

And Now I know everything I wasn’t supposed to.

My Coven likes to keep secrets...well they’re about to get a taste of their own medicine. Rescuing Henley from the demon’s possession won’t mean a thing if we can’t close the Gap in Salem. Samhain is our deadline, and it’s right around the corner.

The question is...can I dig deep into the world’s ancient secrets without losing myself? I don’t know, but I’m about to find out.

The magic continues in The Broken Witch, the fourth book in the adventure-filled Elemental Magic series that's leaving readers begging for more!

Absolutely fabulous.
The Book of Shadows is back in the Coven´s hands and the High Priestess is determined to dig up every secret hidden across the pages to save them all. But what Tegan learns is more than she asked for, and now.. her life and her attitude is definitely about to change. Also, revealing some secrets may bring total uproar.. as well as unexpected decisions and more demons entering this world.
I was totally smitten with this book and I can´t get enough. My emotions were raging the whole time, and I was so tensed I nearly refused to go to work in the morning before finishing the book. Totally addictive, with fresh wind brought into the story, and some certainly very unexpected turns. I am screaming out of the window now to get the next installment.
Moreover, I am falling for the characters more every minute of reading. Strong individuals, complex personalities, and very human natures combined with awesome magic is a well balanced brew that complements the fast pacing, action packed story. Sweetened with passionate forbidden romance, this series simply has it all. Totally recommended.

I can see there are 2 more books in this series and I can't anymore.

This was a struggle and I don't want to read the series anymore.

It was just all over the place and I think if I recall the other books it was the same but there was never a right time to read this. It was always something I struggled to concentrate on so when I sat and got into it yesterday I did have to take regular breaks.

I wasn't enjoying it and a 3 star is more than it deserves.

Wow

Wow, just wow. This book was a wild roller coaster ride. So much going on. I’m honestly not completely sure how I feel about it all. I have my ideas on what is really going on, but not sure I’m happy about how it’s going down. Having said that, I am really looking forward to the next book. In the meantime, my heart is aching for Tegan and Tenn.

You won't believe it

FYI - I try not to give spoilers with my reviews. This is overall opinion of the book.
By the time you make it the end of this book I guarantee you'll be in absolute shock. There is no way you could possibly predict the turn this book takes. In fact you won't even bother reading reviews for the next book, you're going to tear into it just to know what happens next. If any of you are familiar with Star Wars, then you will understand why I can sympathise with Padme re the direction the story takes. But I've said too much. Just start reading. I promise you won't regret it.

The wildest ride, the whole way through. I was floored at every turn! The fact that Tegan closed the gap, opened a new one, stole everyones magic, and portaled them to salem, is INSANE. I cannot wait to reread everything from the start after i binge all the arcs!

Good grief, will there be one book in this series that doesn’t leave me at some point a blubbering wreck !! Chandelle LaVaun has produced a series that has so much creativity. It makes you feel as if you belong to a real distinguished group. The fineness and excellent quality of writing , that has been used to portray each character is remarkable. You feel like you know each and every character in this story, you can summon up pictures in your mind of how each one looks, & see them using their magic in the battles they find themselves in. Then comes the storylines told mainly through the main characters Tennessee & Tegan, however in book 4 , some of the other characters have been given their own chapters from their POV which I feel added more depth to how this story has progressed. I also felt much more intensity and suspense, it honestly is a read you become completely enthralled in. I actually got to a point where, I felt like I wanted to hide behind the sofa and peek out at what was happening 😱. I have enjoyed every book in this series, it has built up a world full of witches, Prophecy’s, Magic, Demons and fairies along with every emotion a body can produce. To me book.4. Seamlessly continued the storyline but I felt it had so much more acute and vehement emotions. My heart broke all the way through, leaving a much question filled and immense cliffhanger ending. Chandelle LaVaun has excelled herself once more. I can’t wait for the next book. If I was a producer, I would look at The Coven - Elemental Magic Series by Chandelle LaVaun worthy of its own TV series. Come on Netflix, this would rival Shadowhunters which I also love.

I thought the story was a bit long winded, unnecessary chapters to tell the story. With that said, Tegan has gone to the dark side or so it seems. Learning the secrets of the book of shadows taught Tegan things the rest of the coven is unaware of. Long kept secrets are now exposed and Tegan is not only battling demons, but she is also battling her coven. The covens magic is now gone and they are in Salem. What awaits them is unknown, but the battle is just beginning.

Alright, 4 books in earned a 5

Ok, ok.... where to start? All 3 of the other books were engaging with plenty of mystery and action, but THIS one knocks it out of the water, literally. Teagan falls down the rabbit hole of darkness, taking the rest of the coven with her - or does she? I’m reading book 5 now to find out!

I didn't like the witch turning bad and evil and going against her coven. Depressing. Wanted it to not drag out. Don't know if I'll continue reading the series.

Goes on forever. didnt like the the two witches in the coven going evil against their coven. It was getting really depressing. Not sure I'll continue the series.

Still so good

The fourth book in their story and still has me hooked. I really love this series and can not put it down. Although I really am not sure how I feel about how Tegan went about things, it was still so great. I was still glued to my screen waiting to see what was going to come next and am getting ready to read the next book!!!! So excited.

Each book just gets better and better. Every time I've read a book in this series, I thought it was the best, but now I realize I've just read the best of the best. I experienced a plethora of emotions. I was disappointed, mad, sad, and confused. Teagen took on a role that shocked me to my core. Not what I expected from her, but I think I've got the gist of what she is trying to accomplish as I patiently await book 5. In my last review of the previous book, I'd stated I'd like to see Emersyn take on a larger role and I was not disappointed. She really took me by surprise as she seemed to instinctively know what to do with her magic instead of questioning it. She really had a break out role in this book. I got to see her in all her confidence and glory. It appears that fire is her main element and boy can she wield it! It feels as though the bond between twins has been broken but somehow I doubt that will be the case in the next book. Teagen has apparently turned to the dark side as witnessed throughout the whole book. I still felt like I got glimpses of her still having light in her and not total darkness. I was surprised when the soulmates glyphs were revealed. I do feel, however, it was time for them to be revealed to open the book up to the things that followed and what I believe will follow in the next book. Will they have their magic stripped? Who knows, but I feel like from what I've read that won't happen. Did I think Cooper over reacted? Yes, I did. I do still wonder what lies were referred to that led Teagen to the dark side and I'm still very curious about Tennessee's start in life from that very first book and when will his sister be introduced. I really want to know what happened to his parents. I loved the fast paced action, and the mystery shrouding it all. What happened to Henley? Is she back? Has she been damaged? What will her story be? I can't wait to have my questions answered. I was given an advanced review copy of this book and my review is strictly voluntary.

This is a fantastic series, but I could only give this book 4 out of 5 stars because this is a very angsty read with no resolution. The stress amps up for everyone, as one of the key characters appears to have switched sides and is working for the dark forces. There are hints that she might still be working for the light, however there are no answers by the end of this book.

What was most uncomfortable for me was that several of the main characters are not communicating with each other about their actions, so we are all in the dark re: motivations. It was also disturbing that powers were taken from key characters against their will, and this feels very unethical. I anticipate answers will come and the truth will be revealed in the next volume, so eagerly awaiting its publication. Soon, please....

I am speechless.... 😳 ... What a great book! I can’t wait for the next one...
I need it now 🙈🙉

My head is spinning from all the things that did and didn’t happen.
Is The good Witch really a bad witch or is it all a show? WTF is going on 😱
I wish I knew more, I need and want more...

Right now I feel so bad for Tennessee but Im really hoping there is a good out come!
There is so much to take in, in this book 😩 my mind is still processing it all.

I love Tegan and Tennessee they play the parts so well and Tegan is so bad ass I love it, I just really hope she doesn’t let us down in the next one.

Emersyn really come into her self in this book and really grow a back bone, Cooper made me laugh a few times and I liked the way Deacon was brought in to this next book.

Over all I love this series and can’t wait for more.
Well done Chandelle great work 😍

This is book 4 to the Coven Elemental Magic and it’s another fantastic addition to the series. This book will take you on a non stop roller coaster ride with so many twists and turns that you will be surprised. Chandelle has done it again with this book so if you have been following this series then your in for a treat with this one and that’s why I’m not going to give any spoilers like I have with the others, this story is just too good to spoil so read Chandelle’s blurb and that will give you the gist to this book. This series is getting real exciting and I can’t wait for more, this story grabbed me from the start and wouldn’t let go until the end. A 5 plus ⭐️ read / series and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

The best book are the ones where you are really immersed into which was the case here for more. The plot was frustrating to no end. Why would Tegan act like this? She did what the adults did before her and was very hypocritical. Mind you, she was absent most of the book. How can you be upset with a absent person?! (Only if you cannot let go of the story)
But Tenn was also really hard to understand. Why do they not believe in the Goddess? She certainly gave same soulmates for a reason. Very frustating entry to the series in the best way possible
All the secret keeping gets old but it is such an important part of the story. In the end everything had to play out like it did. It was done perfectly.

Okay so it was a little predictable but in a good way, I guess, cause I'd have hated if they acted the way they did on purpose. It's... I don't know how to explain it. The first two books (three?) honestly felt like different vibes cause I'm now loving this so hard. It's insane.

I feel like we're right where we need to be and the story is awesomely entertaining. I love how different the characters and their morals can be. They aren't perfect. Some are crazy. And the demons with the witches and angels just make the world more fun.

The heartache is excruciatingly delicious but I also love me a good plot twist and strong soul. I'm curious to see what the justification is this time.

Good

**Warning! Cliffhanger!**
It’s a pretty big one, so line up the next book ready to roll!

Samhain is just around the corner, and Henley is still possessed by a demon.
Tegan learns there are several things that need to be done before they can close the Salem gap, but did she consider that the demons might just have something up their sleeves?

This action packed adventure will lead you on a merry chase, only to end up super confused. And because it is book four of seven, there is a lot more of this ongoing story to go, so don’t expect all the answers in this volume.
It’s sure to leave you hanging on the edge of your seat, wonder just what will happen next!

Oh my god! This book was action packed and had everything I needed. Though I as much suspected it from the start that Tegan never actually went dark. So, the gap in the hidden kingdom is closed, Henley is free and ig finally Tegan and Tenn had ... (Umm the three letter word that starts with s and ends with x) . Although I missed big brain time with Tegan but hopefully we'll get that in the next book. Great to see Em accepting who she's and being an excellent Empress. Tenn is still Tenn, though Tegan going dark took a lot out of him. I still wonder if he's actually human or not. Looking forward to Haven and "hope is not lost" mystery to untangle itself.

Oh My Chuffing God!!!

Even better than books 1 thru 3 and even they were awesome.

The books get more addictive with each new book. I am hooked so much so that I read book 3 thru 5 straight through. They get better , contain so much content, so many twists and turns, it is literally non stop excitement all the way. Scenes, old and new characters are so well written I could picture everything.

I never thought she went to the dark side, not for one second.

This series is up there with my all time favourite reads!!!

Tegan Tegan Tegan..... man, she had my blood boiling most of this book. I know in my heart of hearts that it is all part of her plan, but man, did the author do a good job making me hate her 😫. On another note, I absolutely adore the relationship building between Decan and Emersyn. Their growth was the balm I needed to counteract the pain Tennessee was going through, thanks to Tegan.
Needless to say, the author did her job keeping the readers engaged and now on to the next book to see how the rest plays out.

I do have to say every book in the series so far really needs some major editing. There were a lot of grammar and spelling errors. That being said I really love this series. I oopsed and read Bettina's books first. It wasn't too confusing but made a lot more sense after reading Tegan's books. Even with editing issues, it didn't take away from the story lines. I really wish Emerson's books were a little longer though. This is a must series to read!!!

This book continues story of the series. It can not be read by itself - nothing, and I mean nothing, would make any sense.

Now that the lead character has amazing powers she seems to have gone to the dark side. Is this real? How can they stop her? What is she trying to do?

FYI - the author's style is to tell different in first person yet alternating who that person is. Sometimes overlapping the same scene but from another's eyes.
