Killian Everett is condescending, egotistical, and a complete jerk.

When I started as the new assistant for the famous rock band Civil Corruption, I thought I’d hit the career jackpot... but I was wrong.

With his attitude, bad behavior, and stupid good looks, Killian has made my life a living hell since my very first day.

We may fight constantly, but that doesn’t make me want him any less.

And now I know he wants me too.

He wants to seduce me.
He wants to own me.
He wants to consume me.

And if I’m not careful... I just might let him.

A womanizer who fucks everything that has a hole and breathes, has daddy issues and abandonment issues, is immature and irrational.
She feels guilty about her mother's illness and has a martyr complex.
The same as always in history, he fucks several women to try to forget our heroine and treats her like shit.
Nothing new. An ok reading.
I liked Marco, I would kick the supposed hero to the curb and trade for Marco. #justsaying

“Party’s over, wildcat. Time to go.” Um… What?

“No offense or anything,” he continued, very unwisely. “It’s just that I don’t typically do repeats. Or share my bed. And I’m beat. You practically sucked the life outta me, sweetness.”

I had every night for the past few weeks to fuck Gina out of my head. Unfortunately, it wasn’t working. Every pussy I buried my dick in acutely felt like second best. Every woman I ate and licked barely tasted half as good as she did.

“Just a little tip: don’t proposition a woman while still stinking like another one.”

You didn’t fuck them all because of me. You did it because that’s all any woman is to you: a warm, willing body you can you can use however you like when you get bored.”

Dropping to her knees eagerly, she pulled my cock from my pants and swallowed it whole.

“What you do with your groupie sluts isn’t any of my business,” she said, the vicious snarl belying her indifferent words. “But at least do me the courtesy of washing your hands before you touch me.”

“You’re a child, Killian. An immature little boy being led around by your dick. You’ve proven it time and time again. I’ll never be able to take you seriously.”

I swear I always start my reviews of a Jessica Prince book the same exact way and that's pretty much by saying I devoured the book.

EVERY SINGLE TIME

I just love her writing. She always sucks me in with her characters, her storyline and if you ask me I probably don't gush about her enough. She's consistently delivers great stories. It's why she's a go to author for me. Whether she's making me laugh with her rom coms or making my heart beat faster with her contemp novels I can always count on Jessica to give me something that I absolutely love.

Consume is the third book in the Civil Corruption series. It can be read as a complete standalone however you might as well read all of them they are that good. In Consume we have Killian and Gina. She's taken a job as the bands new assistant and Killian is making her life hell.

These two are at each other's throats and the tension is hot and heady. I almost felt like I was watching the most intense and sex ping pong match without the actual ping pong. Is that what they are called? You know what I mean. But seriously these two are like a stick of dynamite together just waiting for the match to be lit.

There's some alpha possessiveness that you see from Killian that makes him one of my favs because I love me some alphas. Something about those book men that are all demanding, arrogant and make me want to slap the taste out their mouth makes me love them even more.

Gina I loved her as well, she was fiesty. She pushed back, she stood her ground. And let's just say she got's some of that fiesty I will cut a biatch in her that I absolutely loved.

Yes another Jessica Prince book devoured in a matter of hours. It's almost a sure thing for me when it comes to Jessica's books. And so now I wait for whatever else she decides to write next which I will no doubt devour.

No offense but am I supposed to find the Hero hot and desirable?

The Hero is a total sleazebag who thinks it's okay for him to fuck around with other girls but god forbid the heroine even laughs at other guy's joke.

He's just disgusting and has no respect for the woman he supposedly has feelings for. He manhandles her, belittles her--sorry but this isn't someone I could root for. I couldn't care less about his sob stories because I believe women deserve better than this.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the Hero is the type of person who would catcall a girl and say "bitch you ain't that hot anyway. Ugly bitch." when that girl doesn't response.

Anyway I'm officially done with this series.

I can't say enough about my love for all things JESSICA PRINCE! I have yet to read one of her stories that does not CONSUME me...completely, overwhelmingly, enraptured by each word on every page. I don't know how to explain the feeling that overtakes me while reading her stories. It's a knot, a pang of something...I never know if it's butterflies, the feeling of what's to come, or just a complete consumption of my reader heart. All I do know is every time I start one of her stories...I am completely connected and find myself devouring it in one quick sitting. By the time I reach the end...I am ready to read it again.

Killian and Gina were everything. Strong, weak, better when together, but had a tension between them that bled off the pages. Once you take them in they become a part of you, as do all of Ms. Prince's characters. I wish everyone took the time to discover the effortless way this author writes and takes you on a journey that always guarantees a smile, a missed heartbeat, a gasp and even possibly a tear or two shed. Is this a fangirl review? UM yes..but completely deserved!! I LOVE this series and can't wait to read more. I want to forever read about these broken, screwed up boys that love hard and mess up harder. Addicted!

*** 5 ‘You And Me Forever’ Stars ***

When you are told by two very reliable sources that you are going to LOVE this book, you get excited but also take it with a grain of salt because you never WANT to be too excited just in case.

Well, in this case the grain of salt was obliterated from the very first page.

Killian and Gina were EVERYTHING. And when I say everything, I mean it because whoo weee did they put me, and themselves, through the ringer. The feels were going all kinds of BSC (batshitcrazy). The swoons were as real as wanting to reach out and Gibbs smack them with a 2x4 and then the smexy….Lord have MERCY *fans self* Then add in the C.C. crew? And you have a book that you just cannot put down (I tried. But I failed….so we’ll just say I multitasked really, really well for...oh 2.5 hrs today *BSEG*) and can’t help but want and need more!

I honestly adored Kill and Gina. I did. But man, these two…

Gina is carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders and it was hard to not love her for it, even as I wanted to reach and tell her she didn’t need to. But though that weight was always there, it didn’t diminish her in any way. Talk about fierce. She does have her moments of weakness like anyone else, but when she gets going. Watch out because she’ll level you in seconds.

Killian. This man...no doubt, he was an asshat, on more than one occasion. Some of those times were conscious while others were unconscious, but even through all of asshattery I still saw a good man with a battered heart beneath it all. Thankfully, that heart started to heal and the man is simply lethal on all levels.

Their journey to their HEA was all kinds fun. Aggravating at times, but fun. The push/pull between them was real...think big old fireworks going off whenever they were sharing the same air. And the smexy was OMG...let’s just say, prepare yourselves for these two. But while their road was rocky and at times eye rolling, it was one they had to travel, some may not agree with their choices but they needed to be made for them to have those lightbulb moments and come to the realization that they were good for each other on so many levels.
This one was a fun read, which is obvious considering I read in no time flat. It does take place at the same time as Defile, but it can be read as a standalone without issue. I loved hanging out with the Civil Corruption crew. They were a lot of fun, even when there was a little drama tossed into the mix, but I loved the family dynamic they brought with them, especially one particular moment that had me cracking up because I could picture all of their reactions perfectly in my head. And as for the set up and tease for Mace and Lyla’s book...lemme tell ya, it’s gonna be a doozy and I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

When I say Killian and Gina’s story Consume-d me, I am not lying!

I knew I would love the sexy, smart, crazy hot sexual tension between these two from their hot AF hook-up at the wedding, what I didn’t expect was how sweet and charming and how much I would fall in love with both Killian and Gina throughout this amazing book.

Gina’s lived a very hard life—one tragic moment at a time. She finally catches a break when offered the position as Civil Corruption’s assistant. A break where she can finally breathe and put some of her worries on the back burner. What she didn’t count on was really and truly falling for Killian.

Killian’s a “one and done” kind of guy . . . but when the lure of Gina becomes too much to fight, Killian doesn’t know whether to fight his feelings or to give in to them and try for something real, something lasting. Something like what Garrett and Declan have found.

Gah, I loved the enemies-to-lovers part of this amazing romance. Consume is the perfect balance between a smart, witty, fun, engrossing story and some seriously swoony, sexy, romantic gestures. I loved EVERY minute spent with Killian and Gina and the rest of Civil Corruption and cannot wait for Mace and Lyla’s story next! ~ Missy, 5 stars

Killian and Gina will consume and burn you!

This series is amazing and, as usual, the author's writing is superb. Killian and Gina have been slow burning for a while, and now they finally consumed each other!

Killian is that kind of character that takes work and time. He is a jerk, a pain and, more often than not, he is stupid with Gina. But when you get to know him, his background, his burns and scars, you understand him better. And when he lets Gine in, you fall in love with him. He was sweet, caring, protective and, at the same time, so vulnerable.

"I love you. For the first time in my life, I actually know what that means."

Gina was a fighter! Life was specially hard for her, and she had to fight and play and work with whatever she had. She was resilient, loyal, hard worker, selfless. She was a heroine to love, and she was fierce as heck.

But even wit all of that, she sometimes needed a hand. Or even better, a heart. They right heart.

"He thought I was strong on my own, and maybe he was right, but there was one thing I knew for certain. I was stronger with him."

Together they were fire, they had intense and addicting chemistry and they consumed every page, every word, every scene. I was glued to the book and I was greedy!

"The instant her tongue brushed mine, I lost all ability to think rationally. Three things ran through my head on a continuous loop: need, now, and most importantly, mine."

Another thing I loved about this book (and all of her books, actually) is that the secondary characters are strong and fundamental to the plot. They dont steal the hero and heroine's thunder, but they bring life and emotions too! (BTW, I'm totally in love with Marco and I want more from him!)

And when we got the main characters again, we loved them even more. Gina and Killlian melted my heart. Their lives, fears, struggles and pain touched me deeply, and they so deserved they happily ever after!

"As long as you'll let me, I'll spend every day trying to make your life better in any way I can."

Love Hate relationship books should have both love and hate situations that make a reader feel the change from Hate to Love . However the Hate in the name of JEALOUSY over powered LOVE put me off. Despite the fact that I absolutely love rude Heroes, all that Killian ever did was verbal lashings and be double standard douche towards Gina for about 85% of the book, wished there was more of emotional chemistry scenarios present.Towards the last few chapters, Killian's attitude change towards Gina could not be felt it was like a sudden switch, scenarios that enable that change could have been portrayed. So overall this book deserves 3.0 stars.

The men of Civil Corruption and the women that love them have great stories and Consume is no different. Killian Everett and Gina Ivory didn’t start off on the best footing. Both from crappy backgrounds they protect themselves at all costs. The pace and flow along with the excitement of a rock tour are sensational. The angst just enough to get the heart pumping. Killian (and really all the guys) is sexy and brooding and easy to love. Gina is fierce in her loyalty and love. They’ve got great chemistry and the attraction is steamy. It’s great to see the whole gang and Consume is an awesome addition to the series.

I loved, loved, loved this book.
Not going to lie my heart broke for Gina. She is so amazing. She was dealt a terrible hand in her life. And the worse part is that she blames herself for it, and nothing could be farther from the truth. And with that blame she takes on the sole responsibility of being the care giver.
Enter Killian Everett I will admit I didn't like the man at first, I didn't like him AT ALL! He's the epitome of a Rock Star. He snaps his fingers and can get any woman he wants. And right now, he wants Gina.
Gina and Killian's story had a lot of bumps in the road. Because Gina is as stubborn as Killian is cocky. I love this series

I totally consumed Consume! A great lovers to enemies to lovers story, the chemistry is scorching hot, the mistakes are huge and there are so many emotions it’s hard to convey it all without spoilers. So I’ll leave it here by saying you won’t be disappointed with this next instalment of the Civil Corruption boys!

When Gina allows her friends to convince her to take the job as the band's assistant, I knew the fireworks were going to go off, and they did! Killian finally meets a woman who doesn't put up with his rockstar bs, doesn't fall all over him. He can't get the feisty, sassy assistant out of his mind, and it's driving him absolutely batshit crazy, causing him to do ridiculous things, say ridiculous things. I was highly amused at how much she got under his skin, all without even trying. The big, bad rockstar finally met his match and I loved it!!!! Killian's cocky, swaggering persona needed to be taken down a notch, and Gina was just the woman for the task, all without trying, all without even doing anything but being herself. FLOVED it!

And in Consume, I FINALLY fell in love with one of Civil Corruption's heroes. In the past two, I've had a meh/hate (mostly hate) relationship with the heroes, but in Killian, Jessica Prince has finally given me one that I could love. He's still a jerk for part of Consume, but once his past was explained, I completely understood and sympathized with the guy. And Gina was his perfect match. She is strong, she's a fighter and a survivor and she's completely loyal. She doesn't put up with Killian's bs, sees through him, and puts him in his place, which he more than needs. As the two fall in love and steam up the sheets, I was rooting like crazy for them, they are truly a wonderful couple and so deserved their hard-won HEA.

If you haven't been reading this series, I highly advise you to get your fingers to 1-clicking!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I love a good asshole musician...and Killian is just that! Consume was everything I was looking for in a rock star romance!

Killian and Gina had one night together...in which even after the amazing time they had, Killian couldn’t get rid of Gina fast enough. But now a few months later, the tension is through the roof as Gina is the new assistant and Killian will do anything to get her to leave. Little does he know that Gina is not going to back down!

I really enjoyed Killian and Gina! The minute they got together, with such amazing chemistry and sexiness, I knew it was about to go down. Like I said above, I love a good asshole musician and boy, Killian was the best! The insults these two threw at each other and how they fought were balanced out by the love you know they have for each other. I loved watching their relationship take the necessary steps for the two of them to be together...and that asshole wasn’t so bad after all!

I think this stoy had so much potential to be a great story. The main characters were a little much for me and I did not really like the main male character a lot. Their story was a little forced to me. I just could not get into it like I wanted to. I think that this could have been a great one I just couldn't like it. It just felt like something was missing with this story .

I haven't read the other books in this series, but it was easy to pick this up and enjoy the story. Killian was an asshole for most of the book, but he was one with a heart. He just needed to dig it out from under his douchebag behavior.

Ok

This one was just ok for me. Jessica Prince has written some of the best romances I’ve ever read. But this series has been tough because there is so much sex with OW and I HATE that!! Especially when we get unnecessary descriptions of it. I only want to read descriptive sex scenes with the heroine. Anyway… in the last two books both heroes sleep with countless women to forget the heroine. It’s one of my biggest turnoffs in a book.

I really couldn’t stand Killian throughout this book. He doesn’t want Gina, but he doesn’t want anyone else to have her either. A great guy shows interest in her and he tries to tell her all other guys are off limits. All the while he’s screwing anything that walks. He tries to make her miserable so she’ll quit her job with his band. He eventually decides he’s gonna stop sleeping with random women and pursue something with Gina. But by this time, I really would have rather seen her with Marco. He was such a great guy and he would have been so good to her. But Gina chooses the man whore who treated her like trash.

As I said, I have truly loved so many of Jessica Prince’s books. But I hate her man whore heroes and I feel they are rarely redeemed by the end.

I introduced a new shelf for this book, 2nd lead syndrome. The om really seemed so wonderful, I had serious doubts about the h's sanity in her hangup about the H. But then in reality friends have made questionable choices in men so maybe that's par for the course. Jessica Prince really does douchey heroes pretty well, but she doesn't quite hit the correct angst level with it. It happens and then its over and done with, it makes me wonder whether the h's only have short term memory. Also I read this right after book 2, so I got a little bored. Binging on a series can be a good thing as it totally immerses you into the world. In this case that didn't work.

Gina has had to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders alone for the last 6 years. This is the exact reason she chooses to accept a job that she would rather avoid. She may have been the shy blushing girl every time she was around Killian before, but not anymore. His coldness after their one night stand has sparked a fire in her that was hidden under her old crush for him. He will learn soon that he can't push her away from this job, there are things in her life that are more important then the awkwardness of having to deal with the prick that is Killian Everett.

Killian Everett has never been one to tell a pretty girl no, that is till she wants more than one night with him. He learned a long time ago that his father's words all those years were true, that women will take everything he has from him and that at the end of the day they are only good for sex. One nights are his way of protecting his heart. He thought he could get Gina out of his head once he had his one night with her, but boy was he wrong. One night will never be enough to satisfy his need for Gina, but can he get past all of his issues and realize that Gina is not like other women before its too late?

Gina and Killian have this all consuming push and pull type of chemistry. They both crave one another with all that they have, but both of them believe the other one is bad for them and will bring them nothing but hurt. There are definitely times that you want to reach in and throttle the both of them for being so stubborn. The moment they give each other a glimpse at their vulnerability you realize that all that stubborn frustration was worth it. When their walls come crashing down they are able to see just how alike they are and that brings them closer together. Corrine put it best by saying, "A woman can't change a man. But she can make him want to change himself."

The descriptions given to show what Gina is going through with her mother were so realistic and emotional. Jessica was able to accurately capture what it can be like to have a parent in that state. You hate to see them that way, but it doesn't mean you love them any less. The way Tricia's piece of the story plays into Gina and Killian's relationship is beautiful. Gina harbors so much weight and guilt when it comes to her mother, and when she let's Killian in to feel it with her it is so painstakingly beautiful. As Lyla tells Killian at one point, "She's carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders, honey. Don't add to it. Carry some of it for her."

I was expecting a little more to happen when it came to dealing with the bitch that is Cara. There was all this build up and I was expecting an epic explosion of confrontation to happen. What happened was good, but I had been expecting a much bigger blowup when everything finally came to a head where she was concerned.

Just because you think someone may be bad for you, doesn't mean you are always right. Sometimes what you think you need is the exact opposite of what you actually need. Gina and Killian were so afraid of the other one breaking them to pieces, when in reality they were the only ones who cold piece them back together.

CONSUME by Jessica Prince is book 3 in the Civil Corruption series. Killian and Gina were in the background in previous stories and made me long for their story and now here it is. Their love story has been a slow burning one…and what a story it is. Both come from sad and terrible backgrounds which mean they protect themselves from pain at all costs. Killian is a jerk, a womanizer, and when he is around Gina, he acts like a fool around her and that doesn’t help him win points with Gina. When the story starts, Killian and Gina had one night together. They had a steamy time together but as soon as they were done, Killian couldn’t get rid of Gina fast enough. Gina was devastated by Killian’s actions and didn’t know why he treated her so terribly. Fast forward a few months and Gina ends up as the new assistant to the band which doesn’t help the tension between Gina and Killian. Tensions are through the roof between them which means Killian plans to do anything to get Gina to leave her position with the band. But what Killian doesn’t realize is that Gina is not going to leave just because he is unhappy with her being there. So will these two be able to put their hostilities aside or will the push/pull continue to raise tensions until things explode? This is a must read in the Civil Corruption series. I love Gina and Killian as a couple- their chemistry is intense and hot. There are several twists that take place and when you least expect it, something happens that lets them both open the door and let each other into one another’s lives. OMG I love this series and cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

Killian and Gina's story was one I waited for since it got hints in the previous book. Being burned by woman and having a woman hating father Killian has become a manwhore but his Thumbelina changed it all. Their story takes place around Declan's, no worries though the little details are filled in if you missed that one. As the new band PA things get even more complicated along with competition to spice things up.

They were constantly fighting cause of their feelings they fight for different reasons. Killian rebuffing Gina after their one night stand made it worse. They felt a bit toxic but theit connection can't be denied. Killian needed to shape up, stop being an ass and get his issues together if he wants Gina. Along the tour Killian's resolve to stay away changes and his about-face is confusing. But his competitor Gina's heart definitely pushed his feelings.

He did prove himself though by bearing some of Gina's burden he helped ease it. He grew up so to speak and it was great to see. He had this sweet side that was hidden from beinf burned and his childhood. I will say this title is apt for their relationship all consuming and intense but that's them. Gina is one strong cookie for sure, she went through so much but still remained positive.

Civil Corruption has much interesting characters and all that make them up. Each guy has their own love story to tell. Mason's story will be a doozy for sure and I can't wait. Jessica Prince writes good rockstar with heart. I'm liking the series a lot, the writing is engaging and it'll hook you from the start.

Loved this one!

Finally Kill’s book! I love myself a good old man whore turned into a committed man. Kill is hot, he doesn’t do repeats but he loves women. Insert one night with Gina that he blows big time and his world is tilted. When she gets hired on by the band he can’t get away from her and over the connection they had that one night, but Gina wants nothing to do with him after being burned. She has way too much on her plate and she doesn’t want to play his games. But once kill sets his mind on making gina his, her defenses start to fail. I loved kill, he is swoon worthy while still being totally a-hole alpha. Such a Kill-er combination and gina is definitely a wildcat, she’s super sweet and caring but also feisty. I loved that she was so strong and definitely not going to be anyone’s doormat. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and the story is the perfect amount of fun flirty and emotional. Super excited for more from this series.. mace’s book is next!

The Civil Corruption series is hands down the best rock star romances I’ve read! You’ll probably want to kick Killian’s ass (I know I sure did), but sweet Gina, although tiny, is definitely tough enough to look after herself!

Killian and Gina have a little bit of a past, and that little bit of a past didn’t end well. Now she’s the band’s personal assistant and that really complicates things. Gina doesn’t really want the job, but life dictates otherwise and now she’s determined to stay. Killian doesn’t want her there because he can’t seem to get her out of his head and seeing her everyday is the last thing he wants.

The heated animosity, the push and pull from these two...he’s determined to make her quit, but she’s determined to stay. Trust me when I say the heat level between these two is crazy hot!

Killian often times takes things out of context, "a low, raspy sound of amusement worked its way from Killian’s throat. “Abnormally large? Sweetness, you got no effin’idea.” Killian is a jealous one, “you want to get off, you come to me. What you don’t do is flirt with effing Marco Castillo. He’s off-limits. In fact, every single godd**n person who isn’t me is off effin’ limits, you got it?” I loved this hook, Killian had some problems but with his lady by his side things looked up for him

This story moved a little slower than the first two, but made up for it at the end. Gina and Killian have been at each other's throats since Gina became their PA, we know why but that's not the only thing Gina is dealing with, my heart broke for her. However Killian, when he finally stops being the selfish SOB he more than makes up for his stupidity. What I really love about this series is the band inclusion in each story and this one especially since Mace is up next. BTW Ms Prince, If Marco doesn't already have a book, he should.

REVIEW BY: GINA
4 STARS

I am loving this rockstar series by Jessica Prince! She brings to live these wonderful characters, who sometimes you really want to hate but secretly still like them....Killian....He could be such a demanding jerk! But he is pretty lucky he was able to redeem himself otherwise...*shakes fist*

I enjoyed the story very much! It was well written, had a great plot, some twists and turns thrown in there. It has the drama and even a few laughs. There was something that just didn't grab me compared to the first two books but I still very much enjoyed it. I am looking forward to what this author gives us next!

Wow!!! Another Jessica Prince’s 5 star story that was easily read in one sitting. This is the third book in the Civil Corruption series. All standalone by the way.

Killian is part of the band Civil Corruption and loves to party and woman. He spends an unforgettable night with Gina, a friend of the band members. Now they have to work together, let’s say he’s not very accepting of that. Gina is going through a lot and needs this job so she will not let Killian get in the way of it.

The bantering between these 2 is highly entertaining. This story is not only funny, it’s heartbreaking at times too. I felt quite a bit for these characters. I enjoyed immensely this storyline because it was captivating.

Even if it’s the third story in the series, it can be read as a standalone. But for better enjoyment read them all in order. Told in a dual POV with an HEA.

Review:
I am very grateful that I was granted the opportunity to receive an arc of this book. I haven't read the first two book in this series but I didn't feel like I needed to in order to read this book. The characters in this book were all introduced. I didn't have a moment where I thought, "who is this" "whats going on", "what did I miss"etc.

What is this book about:
This book is about Killian and Gina. Killian is a member of a very popular band. Gina is friends with the girlfriends of the other band members.
Gina doesn't have it easy, her mother suffered a terrible stroke and she's trying to take care of her as much as she can but it cost allot. In order to afford the care of her mother she decides to take a job she know she shouldn't take. She's going to be a personal assistant for the band Killian is in.
The thing is she and Killian shared a night together and that didn't end all that well...
Killian is determent to make her live a living hell so she will quit and he can get back to his old whoring ways, those odds sound better for him than allowing Gina to get more under his skin that she already is. Will he succeed and lose Gina forever or will she prove more resistant than he initially thought.

What did I like about this book:
I liked the banter between Killian and Gina. They had chemistry. I also liked that Gina grew some backbone and didn't fall for his tricks.
I liked the side characters as well. They were interesting.

I liked reading this book but I didn't love it. I'm not sure on how to explain why. There wasn't really anything wrong with the story, I just didn't feel it.
