Rock God: Rock Stars

Rate this book
Mick Jagger, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury…

They say I’ll be bigger than all of them.

They throw around words and phrases:

“Could be the greatest ever…”

“Revolutionary sound…”

I don’t give a sh*t about anything but my music. It’s my art. My escape.

Until I run into a fiery redhead coming out of the bathroom of my favorite dive bar. Literally run into her. Both of us pressed against the wall. Her panting against my neck.

Bristol’s different—quick-witted and snarky, not the usual groupie. She doesn’t care that every record label in the country wants to sign my band. She didn’t even know who we were until tonight.

But, she wants me. They all do. They want me to be that one mistake they tell their friends about after they’ve settled down in a subdivision and popped out a few kids with the perfect, even-keeled husband. That one time they slept with the bad boy rockstar on all the magazine covers.

There’s only one problem with Bristol—I don’t want to stop seeing her.

I don’t want anyone else looking at her, touching her, or calling her.

She drives me insane.

I have to make a choice.

Do I want Bristol or do I want to be a Rock God?

Zzzzzzzzzz -- boring. I couldn't stand the Rock God -- total jerk and loser. The only things that ever came out of his mouth was dirty talk. A reader can only take so much dirty talk and the same old sex playing on a non-stop track. Nothing new -- nothing exciting -- certainly no real lyrics or value to the music industry. Waste of time. And this time around, I don't even feel a twinge with my rating.

Sex God should have been the title - Very little Rock in this story, in fact very little anything except meet, have sex, wake up have sex, see each other again, have sex, break up and think about the sex - The characters are very one dimensional. The half star is for the last chapter and epilogue.

I listened to this book because of Alex Kydd, he makes the characters have emotion and depth. I really want to see him narrate so much more because he makes a story like this one which we have read many times before seem different and intriguing. I want more ALEX!

The story is OK, it’s a rock star who falls for an unlikely girl. Again like I said a story we have seen many times before. I found the female narrator made Gage sound different than the way Alex did. And even the secondary character told by Alex were more interesting that when the female narrator does it.
Same with the sex scene’s they were just hotter when Alex narrated them. Overall it was an ok story just a little predictable.

I guess you could say I am an Alex fan haha.

I kept reading this book expecting it to get better but it just got worse. The characters had no depth and even the sex scenes weren't very good. Total waste of time.

Sex, sex, sex anyone....

Hmmmm my headline for this book is on point. The first part of this book is all about the sex which is fine but where was the actual story. I loved the synopsis and blurb but it lacked in the storyline until about 70% into it. And I think Bristol forgave to quickly in my opinion. Especially the way he treated her that last day in California. The surmise of the book had so much potential, but I ended up disappointed sorry.

Usual..Fair...

This is your usual rock star novel, and the usual angst, but it has no depth to it am afraid. Its’ just so bland. The way the H talked to the h during sex is supposed to be rock starish? No, it just put me off.

4 Star Review Rock God by Alex Wolf

This was an extremely quick read that was scorchingly hot. Most women dream about having a night of passion with a rock star and that is the position that college girl Bristol finds herself in. Will one night change the course of her life when she meets up with Gage from Nine Muses?

Gage is used to groupies, after all he is a Rock God but Bristol manages to get under his skin, she sees the real him and he is shocked. What starts off as a one night stand soon morphs into so much more turning both Bristol and Gage’s lives on their heads.

The chemistry between them was incendiary, their connection so much deeper than either of them expected. Will Bristol be able to cope with the rock star lifestyle or is she doomed to fade into oblivion?

One click now and find out.

Each release Alex gives us is even better than the last and becomes my new fave! It is fast paced and oh so hot hot hot. The details were amazing and the sex!? Wow!!
‘Rock God’ Gage has one dirty mouth and only wants to use it on one naughty girl, Bristol. She is different than all the groupies he’s used to. But he wants to be a star, she wants to be a teacher. Will his crazy life style be too much?
I totally recommend this rock star romance!

It's good to see this author spread their wings a touch. The transition from novellas to a fuller novel seems to have been an easy one.

There is a bit more depth to both the characters and the story but, unfortunately, there was nothing original about the storyline.

Having said that there was still enjoyment to be had and some really hot, hot, hot sex!!

An easy and fairly enjoyable read.

Okay read

In general I really enjoyed this story, I just feel there is a lack of background and build up. I would have liked getting to know the characters better

This was a little too Watpad Y/N for my liking lol

The MMC was a total mess that said one thing and did another. Toxicity overload with a side of “ohh I’m still thinking about sex”.

The story had potential. But it had zero impact or depth to the characters. We needed more musician talk and behind the scenes dialogue for this so called ‘rock god’.

It was too Insta love without much emotion.

I’m going to start this review by saying that I have loved everything so far I had read by Alex Wolf, but I can’t say that I loved Rock God. I enjoyed it, very much so at the beginning, but as I passed the 60%-mark things changed a little for me. I never really fell in love with Gage, which is almost a requirement for me in my books – who doesn’t want their next book boyfriend? I liked his alpha I-know-what-I-want-and-where-I’m-going attitude in the beginning. Then, we “somewhat” meet his ex and get a brief background on her. I guess I didn’t see the full what and why about them that turned him into such a douche to Bristol and what they had.

For me, Gage changed from a rising alpha rock god to a sniffing, whiny, weak, immature…boy. The way he treated Bristol was beyond asinine. Again, I didn’t understand his reasonings. So what, someone from your past broke and trampled on your heart. Grow up and grow a pair. At this point I was no longer rooting for them to work things out.

As far as him redeeming himself, in my eyes he never did. Maybe because we never got to see what he said or did. I honestly thought this was going to leave on a cliff-hanger and there would be another book. We read about him making plans, brief paragraphs about him calling Val to get her help with his plan, then it’s 97% in the book and still nothing. Then BOOM, it’s graduation and Bristol sees him. I felt their conversation was glossed over at best and then there is an epilogue. I felt cheated in know what was said and how she forgave him so quickly after he basically destroyed her heart.

Like I said at the start, I have loved every other book by Alex Wolf and my feelings on this one book will in no way deter me from reading more from him. It’s like they say, not everyone will love every book by an author. This is that one for me. I am still excited for this author and look forward to his next release.

Living that fantasy of having one night-no strings, no holding back- with a Rock God...but nothing is ever that easy. One night, that’s all it was supposed to be.

Bristol is working hard. A senior in college, she’s focused on her end game. Study hard, get her degree and become an elementary school teacher. But if only life went as planned.

Bristol’s bff Valerie takes her to a show of a local rock band on the cusp of hitting it big. Who knew a Rock God would change everything?

Bristol and Valerie end up meeting two of the guys from Nine Muses at a bar after the show. Bristol hooks up with Gage. One night! One sinful night to let lose and live the sleeping with a rockstar fantasy!

Gage is used to the groupies. Being used for that fantasy...but she’s different! She didn’t even know who he was until that night.

Their connection is incendiary!!! This is a scorcher. A story with a whole lot of lust but so much more. This author gets better with every story. I’m looking forward to more of the Nine Muses crew.

Another yummy read from Alex Wolf. Gage and Bristol...angsty, emotional, and so sexy together. A chance meeting in a bar leads both of them on an emotional journey to a happily ever after. Gage wants to protect her from the rock star lifestyle, but he cannot give her up. A past relationship has jaded him, but he wants and needs Bristol in his life. He tries letting her go, but she compels him on such a deep, emotional level. Bristol fears he will hurt her. She makes him promise not to. The rock star lifestyle can lead to temptations, and Bristol knows this. She is hesitant, but the same compelling feelings Gage feels, Bristol feels too. Their story is of love and perseverance, of understanding and forgiveness.

Mr. Wolf writes characters that have chemistry and depth with lots of feels, and he made me keep turning pages to see how everything was going to play out. His books keep getting better and better, and I am always looking forward to his next release!

"Don't give your heart to this guy who's likely to crush it. But I was his. He had me and he knew it."

I really enjoyed this book! What's better than a hot-rocker-meets-everyday-gal story! It brought back memories of my college days and being one with the back-stage pass to hang out with the up and coming local band. My story isn't even close to that of Gage and Bristol though! These two are hot together!

Gage is on the fast track to fame. Lead singer from a band that's gaining notoriety and fame, a gaggle of girls to choose from every night, and his Rock God looks and voice. Literally running in to her, he is instantly drawn to her. Yes, she's beautiful, but its more than that. She doesn't care about who he is, in fact, he doesn't think she likes him at all. Challenge accepted. But when what was supposed to be a fling, turns in to so much more, he needs to put the brakes on. He'll only end up hurting her and she deserves better than that. Still, he can't shake the feeling he's making a big mistake in letting her go. Can he pursue his dream of making it to the top and still keep her, or will he have to choose?

Bristol had a plan. Finish school. Get a job. Stay on track. Then he happened. Meeting him derailed her in ways she never expected. There is no way they could ever amount to anything but she'd take what she could get. Until that wasn't enough anymore. She fell and fell hard, even after telling herself it would only lead to heartbreak. Oh, how right she was about that. Should she just let him go, and get on with her life? Why can't she bring herself to do it? He's ruined her for anyone else, and that's fine with her. She can wait. Right?

I'll be honest. I didn't like Gage in the beginning. Too full of himself and looking to wear her down just because he could. But, there was so much more to him than that. He's my favorite kind of hero. The one who tortures himself that he's not worthy of having it all, but pining inside for his happily ever after. Bristol was just the girl he needed - Even if that wasn't the plan.

Great story and I'd recommend it to anyone!

This was an absolute RAGE read for me.

In the beginning, Gage was all about Bristol. He thought about her all the time and wanted to have something serious with her and everything was great. He even paid to fly her and her best friend out to California where the band was recording. Then, he ran into his ex while they were out with some friends and after that, he completely shut down. He shut Bristol out and didn’t even bother to go with her to the airport the next morning when she was due to fly home. He went off the rails with his drinking and cut off all contact with Bristol. This was at about 70%. I expected him to realize how badly he had screwed up and work to get her back.

But, that’s not what happened. Even after he got his drinking under control, he continued partying and went home with women several times wanting to sleep with them but stopped at the last minute. Although he thought about Bristol, right up until the last chapter, he was still thinking that he’d like to “make things right with her” but wasn't sure if he was interested in getting back together.

Then, in the last few pages of the last chapter, he showed up at her graduation with some flowers and that was it. No apology. No groveling. No explanation. Nothing.

In the epilogue, they were married with one child and another on the way. There was a mention in one sentence about how he had apologized to her and she had accepted it. 🤬🤬🤬

Rock God and a Scholar - perfect combination

Another wonderful quick read from Alex, he is fast becoming a favourite of mine. This one had more heat in it than an erupting volcano - so many pantie melting moments. I loved both Cage and Bristol - two polar opposites who made the perfect combination.

Cage, lead singer pf Nine Muses, is used to having women throw themselves at him, but when he sees Bristol this doesn't happen. Immediately drawn to her he sets himself a challenge - to capture and have her When a one night stand turns into something more, how will the two of them react? Are their lives about to be changed forever?

Alex Wolf is a master at writing hot sexy stories. The chemistry that he gives his characters is simply off the charts. Not only that, he is able able to give them depth - something that is often missing in these quick read stories. I love the way that he ensures his female characters are strong and feisty, that they are able to challenge their male counterparts.

Once again a winner from Alex and a definite recommended read from me. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

🚨Spoilers🚨

This has nothing really to do with music. It occasionally talks bout a few band things but this is really a badly written book of smut. There is no real anything except they like to get laid and he was an absolute ass and then turned into a kitten that still wants to get laid and she was a very smart girl that let him treat her bad and still fell for him and not she is going to stay home and be barefoot and pregnant instead of using the degree she got while getting a perfect GPA.. Can you say make me want to vomit louder!! I didn’t even read the whole thing. I read in the reviews that the last chapter and the epilogue was everyone’s favorite part so after suffering through 5 VERY annoying chapters, i skipped to end and was still really annoyed. This was a complete waste of my time. Even the narrators sucked. The girl is soooooo annoying and her voice for him is so bad, there was a male voice from time to time and that voice was very sexy, but thats the only positive thing i can say about this book.

⭐️= awful, would not suggest it to anyone.
🫣= too much sex no real catching story
🤬= complete waste of my time.
🔈= audiobook

Off to find a good 📖 book 🧐

What a sizzling read!!!! But to say the least I didn’t expect anything else from Alex Wolf. He always leaves me with a satisfied imagination when it comes to his sizzling romance. These two are just simply on fire! The connection that is there speaks volumes and it only continues to get better and better. But then it doesn’t... can this ordinary college girl really keep up with the life of a rockstar, the fame that comes with it, the tabloids and all the media that surrounds the life of the new up and coming rockstar!
You’ll have to read this awesome book to find out!
I loved this book, it was a page turner for sure. Once I was finally able to sit down and read I wasn’t able to put it down!

If you’ve never read any of Alex Wolf’s material I highly recommend you do! Start with this book it’s a stand-alone that you won’t be able to put down! I promise!

5 stars love! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Read For Author:
I must say this is the best book so far by Alex Wolf! It took my breath away. I read it in one sitting. I'm not big on the Rock books but I loved the storyline in this one. It gave you all the angst, uncertainty and love that you could ask for along with a little naughty to go along with it.
Gage was on the verge of getting everything he thought he could ever want, a record label, tours, his band to be famous and then she walked into his life...someone who didn't even really care who he was but got the man inside.
Bristol was just trying to finish the last year of College so she could become a school teacher taking extra classes and studying herself to death until her friend suggested a night out. The night changed her life. But she knows he will break her heart she isn't meant for this kind of life is there any way they would be able to make it work.
Please read it - Two Thumbs Alex!

I saw stars😍

Gage is an up and coming star. His bands popularity and fan base is growing, him and his band are riding the wave to stardom! Wanting to relax with out all the attention him and his best friend go to his favorite local bar and there his life is changed forever.
Bristol is focused, working on her straight layed plan for her teaching career. She's got only a little while to go til she graduates. As she and her friend Val let loose and blow off steam she gets entranced by a singer on stage that puts so much heart into his songs.
They go to a local bar to unwind and bam! He's there and eyes all on her.
What was just suppose to be a one night to let go and be carefree turns into more, until his past destroys them.
Can they pick up the pieces? Did they even have a chance?
You'll be sucked into this story and NEED to keep reading.
Alex Wolf is one of my favorites and he always give you a fantastic journey.

Once you meet sexy rocker Gage there is no going back. I'm still fanning myself over the hotness that is Gage and Bristol. You wont be able to put your kindle down as things heat up between them. Bristol and Gage have this instant pull and sizzling hot chemistry that draws you in completely. Gage is the Rock God. And let me tell you your panties may just get ruined when it comes to him. Bristol even though she needs to focus on the last semesters of college gets the distraction she didn't know she needed with Gage. Their relationship seems effortless even with what seem like a few obstacles in that pop up along the way. Even with what can seem like a bumpy road with a rocker Bristol holds her own in the beginning with Gages world. I love them together. This is a sexy sexy read. I couldn't put it down. I love me some smoking hot rockers.

Rock God by Alex Wolf was another great read. Gage is the lead singer of an up and coming rock band. Bristol is a college senior determined to graduate next semester and start her career. She went to a show with her best friend Valerie to see a band she never heard of before. She was mesmerized by the lead singer on stage. They literally bump into each other later that night which started a dirty talking banter from Gage that led to feisty wild hot sex filled night that neither wanted to end. They have a connection that is more than sex they seem to just fit ,they get each other. They are getting close fast and love hanging out together. Unfortunately life is messy and the past has a way to come back and play havoc with your life and heart. Don't miss out on finding out how their story plays out. This is a wonderful read you don't want to miss. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Rock God is every girl’s fantasy. One night with a lead singer of an up and coming band with the hopes of maybe “you’re the one” to capture his heart. Bristol is focused on her future and never takes chances much less one-night stands. She is determined to finish school and not think of the cocky rock star who gave her enough pleasure to ruin her for anyone else. Gage likes that revolving door of women night after night. He can have anyone, anytime but the one woman who crashed into him won’t leave his mind. He needs to let her live her life and not the life that he’s about to embark on. The problem is how does he let go of his muse regardless of whether he deserves her or not.

The writing once again pulls you in and holds your attention. It was easily a one sitting read because I didn’t want to put it down.

Rocked The Body and Soul

Well played Alex Wolf...well played.

Every woman's fantasy, a night with a rock star. And Gage can provide the entire packaged deal. He's got the talent, the looks and the moves. He's the next big thing. Music isn't the only magic he makes!

Bristol is the good girl. Focused on her education and her future. But one night out and one whisper from Gage had her breaking all her rules. A one night-no strings attached encounter to tell later in life. Simple.

But these two come together like wildfire. Chemistry undeniable. He fears for his heart and she's lost her fight to keep hers. But what happens when a Rock God appears?

Lots of heat, relatable characters and a glimpse of everyone's what-if?

If you love rock star romance you will definitely want to one click Rock God by Alex Wolf because this story has it all Music, Passion, Emotion and characters you can help connecting with.
It took me a while to warm up to Gage because at the start of this book he was so self-centred but as the story unfolded I fell big time for this hot broody rock star. Bristol is the good girl that falls for the bad boy of rock and roll and he has her breaking all the rules....
There is no denying Alex Wolf knows how to write a book that’s full of passion with characters that have sizzling chemistry and once you add in the story of bad boy turned good and a little bit of good girl turned bad you get the perfect read. Looking forward to more from this very talented author.
