“You’re my escape. Just a temporary indulgence.” But Christmas has a way of changing things… On and then off again, Matt Edwards and DJ Winston share hot sex, hotel rooms—and nothing else. But now Matt is suddenly in DJ’s real life, where she’s not sentimental about anything—not her lovers or the holidays. Just one hot kiss has them back in bed… Will Christmas magic turn their fantasy into forever?
Joss Wood loves books and travelling— especially to the wild places of Southern Africa and, well, anywhere.
She’s a wife, a mom to two teenagers, and is bossed around by two cats and a Great Dane X the size of a baby cow. After a career in local economic development, she now writes full time.
Hot Christmas Kisses by Joss Wood is a sexy holiday themed romance between two casual lovers who find it’s time to take their relationship to the next level or risk losing it all.
Dylan-Jane ‘DJ’ Winston and Matt Edwards have been having an affair for the last seven years. It’s the kind of fling where they get together a few times a year for some sexy fun, with the caveat that if either of them gets involved with someone else, they’ll call it quits. For a couple who like to keep their emotions in check, it’s been the perfect arrangement. But something has changed. DJ stopped responding to Matt’s calls after their last hookup the previous Christmas. Now Matt has come to Boston where DJ lives for the upcoming holidays and he wants some answers.
DJ never told Matt that after their last time together, she’d gotten pregnant, and miscarried at six weeks. It left her depressed for several months, and no longer interested in a casual fling. Matt’s arrival has reluctantly made her confess the situation to him, which he struggles to accept. Matt’s recently discovered that a girl he dated in high school had his baby (after telling him she’d miscarried and moving away) and gave her up for adoption. The young woman, now 18 has contacted Matt and is one of the reasons he’s come to Boston, besides wanting to restart the status quo with DJ. Spending more than a few days together makes Matt and DJ realize that they can’t go back to what they had. But are they ready to move forward together or should they call it quits for good?
Hot Christmas Kisses by Joss Wood is the perfect holiday themed romance for the season! Fast-paced, genuine and hot, Matt and DJ are magical together. Their chemistry is off the charts and the author does them justice with her writing. Taut prose, engaging dialogue and raw emotions bring heart and soul into this rereadable story. Just perfect!
Hot Christmas Kisses by Joss Wood is delectable! I thoroughly enjoyed DJ and Matt's story. DJ holds others at an arms length because everyone in her life leaves. Why should Matt be any different. He lives across the world. Matt fears commitment because the only time he ever felt like settling down everything was ripped from his grasp. So why should he lay his heart on the line and let it be runover by someone again. This book is about hidden secrets that must come out in order to move forward. It is fantastic. The sex scenes are fanatical and delicious.
Steamy sex, delectable nights and no commitments! What was meant to be casual turns all too serious when her good time guy shows up wanting to hash out real life. The characters were very appealing, the intrigue of their secrets peaked my interest and their sensual return to each other was very satisfying. Really enjoyed them!
For two people supposedly too busy for a relationship, Dylan-Jane Winston and Matt Edwards have managed to have an on-again off-again hook-up relationship for several years now. When possible meeting up across the country for a stolen night or weekend together filled with hot sex, a few laughs and just honest companionship without the pressure of having it mean something.
Things seem to have changed the last year though, and Matt isn't sure why. He's passing through DJ's home base for a few weeks, so he figures he might as well stop in to see her and try to get to the bottom of why they feel off all of a sudden. She's not excited to see him, and eventually spills a secret that throws him off center for a bit, but time together might be just what they need to ground themselves and get back on track.
I loved Hot Christmas Kisses. It threw you right into the relationship with Matt and DJ, even if they didn't want to believe it was a relationship. They loved each other, but they both feared commitment like it was a snake that would bite them. The huge cast of secondary characters really made the story and I loved the second chance romance part between Mason and DJ's surrogate mom, Callie. I wouldn't say this book is ALL about Christmas, but it's definitely set during the time of year. If you love hot kisses, steamy nights, and families who love one another fiercely, you'll love Hot Christmas Kisses.
About the book, "You're my escape. Just a temporary indulgence." But Christmas has a way of changing things... On and then off again, Matt Edwards and DJ Winston share hot sex, hotel rooms--and nothing else. But now Matt is suddenly in DJ's real life, where she's not sentimental about anything--not her lovers or the holidays. Just one hot kiss has them back in bed... Will Christmas magic turn their fantasy into forever? The characters were great! The setting was brilliant! A very good story I love how this all turn out.
Joss Wood is new to me author and she has me wanting to more! Hot Christmas Kisses is a steamy twist on a relationship of convenience. Matt and DJ grabbed me right away and I throughly enjoyed watching them realize that what they though was just physical was really so much more. AND the Mason and Callie story line has me salivating for more, August romance with an older heroine - yes please!!!
lots of baby talk in this one while not having any babies in the book. It was fine a little clunky at times. I think I was more into Callie and Mason's story which was also featured in this book along side DJ and Matt. I feel like I missed something from book 1 on them and felt like I could have used more of their story!
Enjoyable book but gave it 4 * rating primarily for the Mason/Callie storyline. I would love them to have had a book of their own. The description of Mason’s feelings for Callie were so much hotter than Matt’s for DJ. Love Joss Wood’s books.
Didn't care for this one. It wasn't terrible, but it was just so... mediocre, I guess. Ended up skimming in a few parts because it couldn't hold my attention.
