He needs a roommate, she needs a place to live.

Correction.

She needs a place to hide …

When charming firefighter Hunter meets a beautiful woman at the DMV, he wastes no time making her acquaintance. When she mentions she’s new in town and looking for a fresh start, he does not hesitate in offering to rent the extra bedroom in his house. After all, he’s never been able to resist a damsel-in-distress and helping those in need is what he does best.

What begins as an innocent, well intentioned arrangement, blossoms into a passionate entanglement neither one of them saw coming.

It all feels right. His tight-knit group of friends think the world of her. And he can’t imagine going the rest of his life without Edie by his side.

But when her past comes to call and their love is on the line, Hunter’s save-the-world complex faces the ultimate test. Is love enough to save them both?

**Hot and Dangerous Book One in The Fraternity Brothers Series, is the first of seven stories. This Author is one of my favorites and she never disappoints. Hunter is looking for a roommate and when he meets Edie, he finds so much more. He has family issues and she has an ex that is crazy. She wants freedom and security and Hunter is just the one to give her both. Beautiful read with emotion and danger. Hunters friends really step up in this book and I loved that. Awesome writing💕💕

Hunter and Edie

I have been waiting patiently (Ok! Not so patiently, but I kinda had no option), so, back to my review!
When I heard this series was coming, I couldn't wait to dive in read all about these group of guys, who were from the same fraternity! I couldn't wait to see all their different personalities come together and see how the love of their lives changed each and everyone of them and this series starts with Hunter.
Hunter is a volunteer firefighter in training and also an EMT. He's been disowned by his family for not becoming a lawyer, like the rest of them! But he loves his job and is about to fired (technically he can't be fired, but still) he goes to the DMV to get his special licence. Where he meets Edie and it goes great from there!

Edie has moved to California from Kansas to escape from a crazy mother and a frightening ex boyfriend! She meets the lovely May, then Bodhi and then while at the DMV, she meets Hunter! All 3 have been incredibly kind to her and she's never received that before. It's not long before we find out what's she's running from though. Her and Hunter become roommates and soon the sparks fly! Their chemistry is hot and they're perfect for each other but Hunter is the one who has to convince Edie that she is deserving of love and care and friendship.

I loved every single page of this book. I loved all the side characters and can't wait to delve into each one of their stories. Edie has had a really bad start to life but she's coming around to having the perfect family of her oen, via Hunter and his friends. My heart broke for Edie when her past was revealed but apart from lingering effects from her mother and ex boyfriend, Matthew, Edie is blossoming into a wonderful woman! Also, keep an eye out for Fiona! She's a firecracker!!

Looking forward to the next book in the series

I have to say this book surprised me. I was a little apprehensive about this book, but I wanted to give it a try and I am so happy I did.

I loved this group of friends and Hunter. He is looking for a roommate since he has been cut off from his family because he is following his dreams. He is destined to become a firefighter and will do anything to do it. So when he meets Edie at the DMV he finds himself offering his home to her as a roommate.

Edie is hiding, and when she finds herself talking to Hunter she takes his offer and help. She is not looking for anything romantic, in fact, she wants NOTHING to do with romance. She wants a new life and maybe some friends.

Hunter finds he really enjoys Edie and her company. His friends like and respect her and it shows. But when her past comes back to hunt her will everyone stick by her? Or will they turn their back on her?

I went down to a 4 star due to how quick the ending ended. It was like bam. However, I did enjoy the story and will read the others.

Love, love, loved it!

Running away from her past, Edie finds herself in California with no place to stay and no job. A chance Meeting with Hunter at the DMV puts all of her worries to rest when he asks her to be his roommate. But will the two ignore the sparks and stay just as roommates? Will her past push the firefighter into protection mode? Or will the two get through the pain to come out with a HEA? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that made me laugh as well as cry this book should not be missed.

This is the first book in a new series from this talented author, and is Hunter and Edie’s story. Hunter is a volunteer fire-fighter, who is looking for a new roommate. Edie is new is town, and is looking for somewhere to live / hide. What happens when Edie’s past catches up with her? No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a beautifully written story, which had me totally captivated throughout, and I cannot wait to read more in this amazing series. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers.

Good

It was good, if a little anticlimactic. I liked that Edie progressed the way she did. But even the twists were a bit bland. Most of it was pretty predictable. I liked that Hunter was not your typical frat boy man-whore. It was a good story but was fairly bland overall. I would have liked to see Edie try the psychologist that Damien recommended. It seemed like the end was fairly rushed. Like after the hospital scene bam all wrapped up. I think the story would have been better served with more to it toward the end

I enjoyed this book much more than I expected. The characters were more likable than the spoiled rich kids I thought they would be.
It did feel that the ending was rushed because the author was coming up to the required number of words. All of a sudden all of the problems were solved and the female lead's emotional problems were explained away.
The book was good, though, and I'll read more of this series.

This was an interesting read. It was my first by this author and it didn't disappoint. The tragic back story of Edie was heart breaking and Hunter was just the guy to help her heal. I would of liked to have learnt more about Hunters family and background but it's wasn't necessary for the plot. I loved how he fell so hard for Edie so fast.

SUPER SEXY

Hunter would have to be the nicest guy ever. He takes Edie in and immediately goes out of his way to look out for her.
Edie has had a terrible life until she meets Hunter. She believes she is cursed and won't let herself fall in love.
But Hunter stands by her and doesn't back down till they get their happy ending.

[1.75 star] generally ok but felt the 1st 3/4 is kind of slow but the last 1/4 is quite of fast. especially the last 2 chapters & epilogue. thr intruder was actually a neighbour was quite of lame. and heroine manage to contact hero's parents also is too smooth when his parents disowned him for being a firefighter.

Cute love story 3.5 stars

It's a nice romantic story. Man meets girl. Man falls in love with girl. Girl falls for man.
It's a story told from two points of view. The H and h are a nice couple. A little drama thrown makes it a good read.

Hot in Here

This is a great start to the series.

I love Hunter & Edie's story.

The way it starts off leaves somewhat of a mystery.

But in the end it's all about love.

Hunter Knight wants to be a firefighter but his family wants him to be a lawyer and when he chooses to stop going to law school his parents have cut him off and he is forced to find a roommate.

Edie has just arrived in California from Kansas as she is escaping her past. When she is in line at the DMV office she happens to meet Hunter who offers her a place to live.

With Edie fearing that she is "cursed" from her past will she allow herself to get close to Hunter and will she let him know what she is running from?

This was a great book about trying to find your true self after you've grown up hearing the worst about yourself and about finding your own path that is true to you.

I liked Hunter but I felt bad that his parents cut him off when he wanted to follow his own path and not become a lawyer like the rest of the family. He was such a good guy and wanted to help people and I liked how hard he worked at obtaining his own goals.

It was clear how damaged Edie was to a certain degree due to everything her mom said to her growing up. It broke my heart that a mom could treat her child that way but it was obvious how much damage it did.

I loved how much banter was between Edie and Hunter and how different they were, especially with food. I thought it was great how his friends embraced Edie and it was clear how they were there for her when she was going through such a rough time.

The stuff with Matthew was definitely freaky and I thought so many different things with the fence incident and also the car accident. I was shocked at what was revealed at the end!

The end was awesome and I look forward to more in this series!

Hunter is trying to pursue his dreams against his parents’ advice. Because of friction with his parents, he now needs a roommate to help with expenses. This brings Edie into his life- she is on the run from her past which includes an ex-boyfriend that is stalking her. Edie is trying to start over and survive all she has gone thru. Hunter is the breath of fresh air she didn’t know she needed. He was kind, attentive, giving and the chemistry between them was insanely hot! Can Edie fight her feelings for Hunter all while trying to elude her the darkness in her past ? I enjoyed the insta-love feeling this story gave and look forward to reading more in this series.

I’ll start with holy hotness! Hunter is one sexy guy working on becoming a full time firefighter he has to make the dreaded DMV trip we all hate and it just so happens that Edie is also at the DMV. Hunter is looking for a roommate so why not the gorgeous Edie to fill that spot? Hunter is sweet and very considerate not to mention patient. Edie is happy to be out of Kansas and on her own. Roommates to lovers is such a great story to build on and I really enjoyed reading these two grow together and the chemistry is crazy. The other guys we get a quick peek at seem really great, looking forward to reading more about them especially Damian. The story was well written and it was easy to lose myself and keep reading all day. I give four stars and would recommend the book and author. - By Tiffany

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Oh if ever Edie needed a friend, it is now. Moving on from a bad time in her life, she needs somewhere to stay, find a job and just take one day at a time. Meeting Hunter is the best thing ever. He is not only her saviour by asking her to be his roommate but helps get her a job. She is lucky that his frat brothers, Damian, Cole, Lennon, Evan, Jace and not forgetting his friend Fiona all look out for her too. A story I couldn’t put down from beginning to end. Lots of intrigue, drama, danger, passion and best of all....... Love 💖
Absolutely loved it

I received an ARC and I am freely reviewing. When I first started this book, it dragged a little for me. I was not completely feeling it. Which was a surprise because past books by Ms. Rose, I will inhale. I did struggle with this one. With this story we meet Hunter and Edie.

Now, hear me out by the end, I did enjoy this story. I found I did not enjoy Edie right away but there gets to be this point that flipped a switch for me. We find out more about Edie and what she has been there. It's an eye opener and it makes her more relatable at least for me. Now, Hunter, him I enjoyed for the get go. He is a genuine good guy and that comes across quite clearly.

Overall, this was a great story.

I wanted to like this more than I did. The basics of the story were good, but it was just too much in such a small time frame. I did notice a couple of editing issues, but nothing that took me out of the story.

Hunter has always wanted to be a fire fighter and when he goes to make his dreams come true, his parents cut him off and decide that he doesn't exist. Trying to escape her past Edie jumps on a bus and heads to California. The two meet at the DMV of all places and the story takes off.

My favorite part of the story is Cheeto. Who or what is Cheeto? Guess you should read it to find out.

When Edie start her new life fresh off the bus the first stop she want to make is to get her driver licience on her way there she meets an couple friends that help her on her way in her new life. But what she running from and can she hide forever.???

Hunky volunteer fireman Hunter is after a special licence to get to be a paid fireman but it's come at a cost his lawyer family wanted him to be something he aint . Which mean he need a house mate . Right on cue edie .

Will Hunter get to be a fully fledged fireman ??
Will Edie reveal why she is running ??
Can they find common ground ??

Hot and Dangerous is a very well written dual POV of Edie and Hunter's story. I was sad for Edie’s life and circumstances that bring her to the DMV on a Saturday in California, where she met Hunter. Hunter’s offer was NOT practical in today’s society, and he did question himself, but it sure made for an interesting story. LOVED the friendship and antics of the Fraternity Brothers! Can’t wait for more about them! I really enjoyed the surprise POV for the epilogue! Now where’s my bag of Cheetos?!!!

Hunter is trying to pursue his dreams, even if that means going against his parents wishes. This leads him to need a roommate to help with housing expenses... When he comes across Edie in the DMV, she's the answer to his problems, but can he be the answer to hers? With a dark past that still haunts her, Edie is trying to start over and survive, but can she fight her feelings for Hunter? I enjoyed this book and can't wait for the rest of the series. A great group of characters, with a romantic and suspenseful tale, you'll find yourself surprised you're already at the end!

Cheeto’s anyone!! This story is cute and sexy!! I loved the pace! I read it in one sitting!!

So I really thought I was going to be reading a sweet sexy Emerson Rose book! Hum that is not what I got. Now all of Emerson’s books have a twist but I was not expecting a dark
little twist. This is a great insta love book with characters you will enjoy from the minute you meet them. It’s fun and engaging and yes has that angst build right in!! I Loved Hunter and Edie they had this easy going feel about them.
Nice fast paced summer read!! With a dark past just waiting to come jumping out!!

I think this is going to be a really good series! I adored Hunter, he's such a lovable and sweet guy and he's just the guy to help Edie with a safe place to live and someone to care for her. Edie is hiding from a really bad man and a mother who clearly doesn't care about her daughter. Edie and Hunter have chemistry, as much as Edie tries to keep to herself she can't help but fall for Hunter and she really likes his friends and how caring they are. They're smoking hot together so it's a good thing that Hunter is a fireman! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of The Frat guys books!

I enjoyed this book. It was a first for me from Emerson Rose and I love a series!

Hunter and Edie were destined to be together, but both of them needed each other to put their pasts to rest. I love the sense of family for Hunter and his friends; true friends. It was fun learning the quirks of Hunter's friends and how genuine and understanding they were of Edie. There was angst, love, romance, fun and comradery and did I forgot to say a dog (stole my heart)!

I was given an ARC of Wilde About Alec by Cara Faircloth in exchange for an honest and objective review.
