The author of Deadly Wands and the asteroid-impact novel Regolith, Mr. Reilly has a Master's degree in Counseling, an autistic son, speaks Spanish, and builds oceanfront Caribbean condos.
Let me be clear that this book is not for everybody. The target audiences of this type of narrative are really for those fans of pulp fantasy, and action fiction. Fans of historical fiction, and military stories will also enjoy this tale. In those areas, the story moves with a rapid pace through small incidents and their far-ranging consequences imbued in a larger report of military events.
Epic, in scope, there are battles that involve the aerial feats of the flying dragons and their breaths of fire from above, along with the troop movements by land and sea told in comprehensive language. The historical character of Genghis Khan has been fictionalized in order to situate the dragon element in an actual historical milieu.
Seamlessly, the story moves from huge battles to the dramatic events of assessment and planning for further actions by the Dragon King, the Dragon Queen, their families, and their enemies. Intermingled with the larger events are the smaller sexual, love affairs that add value to the larger narratives.
Trigger warnings for language and adult sexual situations. I, for one, was happy to read something that attempts to be original, appeals to the fanboy geek inside of me, and unpretentiously communicates a Game of Thrones aesthetic firmly ensconced in real history. Not a perfect tale, but a highly recommended one.
An interesting 👀 novella e-book about Genghis Khan and his family's war with Dragons 🐉 to ride on. It is a interesting novella with well developed characters lots of action, misdirection, and violence leading to the conclusion.
I would recommend this novella and author to 👍 readers of fantasy horror novels 👍🔰. 2023 👒😀😀😕
