About the author

Though readers often find themselves inadvertently laughing aloud as they read Anne Fine's novels, as she herself admits, "a lot of my work, even for fairly young readers, raises serious social issues. Growing up is a long and confusing business. I try to show that the battle through the chaos is worthwhile and can, at times, be seen as very funny." In 1994, this unique combination of humour and realism inspired the hit movie MRS. DOUBTFIRE, based on Anne's novel MADAME DOUBTFIRE and starring the late comedic genius Robin Williams.

Anne is best known in her home country, England, as a writer principally for children, but over the years she has also written eight novels for adult readers. Seven of these she describes as black - or sour - comedies, and the first, THE KILLJOY, simply as "dead black". These novels have proved great favourites with reading groups, causing readers to squirm with mingled horror and delight as she peels away the layers in all too familiar family relationships, exposing the tangled threads and conflicts beneath. (It's perhaps not surprising that Anne has openly expressed astonishment at the fact that murder in the domestic setting is not even more common.)

Anne has written more than sixty books for children and young people. Amongst numerous other awards, she is twice winner of both the Carnegie Medal, Britain's most prestigious children's book award, and the Whitbread Award. Twice chosen as Children's Author of the Year in the British Book Awards, Anne Fine was also the first novelist to be honoured as Children's Laureate in the United Kingdom. In 2003, Anne became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and was awarded an OBE. Her work has been translated into forty five languages.

Anne Fine lives in the north of England and has two grown up daughters.

C'était un livre amusant. Il n'était pas aussi facile que je l'avais prévu. Je me suis beaucoup appuyée sur DeepL

Qui est le chat assasin? C'est Fluffy. Pour lui, l'amour est pour les nuls. L'amour vous rend stupid.

Fluffy avait beaucoup de chats dont il était tombé amoureux. Il y avait Tamara. Elle est une Persane rayée gris, au yeux froces. Elle dirige le mouvement "Les droits du chat". Mais elle était insupportable.

Et puit il y avait Scrumpt qu'était presque savuage. Elle avait grandi dans les bois. Mais elle était trop sauvage et elle a roté dans l'oreille de Tuffy. Tuffy a dû passer à autre chose.

Surtout, il y avait Coco. Et l'ami de Tuffy, Tiger, Il a parié avec Tuffy qu'il tomberait amoureux d'elle en trois jours.

Que serait gagner le pari? Tuffy, tomberait amoureaux avec Coco?

Peut-être. Pas des spoilers!

C'est un bon livre pour le français intermédiaire.

"¿Para qué tener un gato si lo que realmente quieres es algo suave y fofo que nunca salga a dar la vuelta o tenga una vida propia? ¿Por qué no encariñarse con un sillón?"
"Aquí mi imitación de perro: ¡Ya se están despertando! ¡Es lo que más me gusta en la vida! ¡No lo puedo creer, me voy a subir al coche! ¡Lo que más me gusta en esta vida! ¡Me aventaron una pelota! ¡Lo que más me gusta en este mundo! ¡Qué rico, comida que se cayó de la mesa! ¡Lo que más me gusta!"
Pero a todos, a TODOS, les llega el amor, y hasta el más cínico de los gatos se puede ahogar en las sales de los mares de este sentimiento tan meloso.
Con este libro como que comienzo a entender (eso creo) a los gatos.

Tenía muchas expectativas sobre el libro y aunque me gustó bastante, he de decir que no es nada del otro mundo. Quizás las entregas anteriores de "El gato asesino" sean mejores. Intentaré nuevamente, cuando los otros libros estén disponibles. Pasable, pero nada especial. Bueno para el rato.

Es una historia divertida y más porque esta contado a través de un gato divertido, que piensa y algo cínico, done te divertirás con las ocurrencias que haga este gato llamado Tufy.
En esta historia nos contara las cuatro veces que se ha enamorado y sin ningún éxito.

Me encanta que los libros infantiles toque temas complejos, en este caso los reveces del amor. Muy recomendable.
