I originally bought this book in January 2021 after i watched a documentary about Eric Clapton's life and wanted to learn more about it. I started it, got like two chapters into it and then got into a huge reading slump and only picked it up again in July. This time, i got carried away with Clapton's stories and realized it was so good i wanted to gift this book to my boyfriend- and his birthday was only about a week away. Therefore i began speed-reading but that didn't compromise my enjoyment or understanding of the biography at all.
Overall it is a very entertaining book, i found it quite interesting to look at many famous history-making events through the eyes of the people making it happen. Eric is so full of detail in his writing without making it overwhelming but i do recommend making pauses to search up any famous people he mentions that you don't recognize as that can help your understanding of his narrative. I like that he included pictures and even though it was autobiography, you can tell he's not sugarcoating problematic past actions and really being brutally honest at times.

Nunca fui fã de Eric Clapton. Entretanto, ele abre o jogo de uma forma bastante honesta nessa autobiografia, e a impressão final é de um personagem simpático. A sua luta contra o álcool e as drogas é louvável e inspiradora.
A edição é boa, apesar de eu ter achado (pelo menos) um erro grosseiro de português.

Mostra Clapton em excelência, seus altos e baixos com um tom realista (raro em autobriografias) e sem saudosismo. É uma experiência única para fãs da "Persona" de Clapton e para amantes do rock, no geral.
