It's not the end.
The Apocalypse is only just beginning...

The Eko virus sweeps the globe in mere days, killing billions. Air Force One disintegrates in a ball of flame. The Secretary of Defense holds a pistol to the head of an Army grunt. The world has gone insane. And the apocalypse is just getting warmed up.

Echo Company is woken in the middle of the night and put on the last plane out of Germany. They might be the last special forces operators anywhere in the world. They're used to being the men who go bump in the night. But now they're all that stands between society and absolute chaos.

Captain Jax Booth never planned on being a father. Not yet, anyway. But the Eko virus killed the woman he loved, and left him to care for her daughter in a world that was falling apart. So he did what he had to. He got Hayley to Cheyenne Mountain, the last bastion of safety anywhere in the world. If there's one thing the Eko virus can't get through, it's 500 feet of reinforced rock...

In time, the virus burns itself out. A small band of survivors establish themselves in the Rockies, and finally pause for breath. The virus might be gone, but winter is coming. It's time to rebuild. To scavenge. To hunt.

To survive.

America has fallen. But a New Republic will rise...

We suggest you read Perfect Storm, book one in the main Collapse series before losing yourself in Fall Back. But if you're the kind of person who doesn't like following rules, then you can definitely read New Republic as a standalone series!

Riley Flynn is the kind of man who rarely gets to write about himself in the third person. He likes long walks on the beach, and falls asleep at night dreaming about the apocalypse - and how he plans to survive. Zombies and EMPs are Riley's kind of thing, but he has a special place in his heart for biowar, and the end of the Internet Age.

It's coming. Are you prepared?

Collapse from a military point of view

I don't usually read military books, not even in a dystopian world. But after reading and loving the first 3 of the Collapse books, I had to see what came next. "Fall Back" is very interesting and I like the hero and his Army men and women very much. The "bad guys" are also very easy to dislike. The book ended with a cliff-hanger which normally annoys me, but I was prepared and have already got the next 2 books ready to read. Riley Flynn writes very well and has a great proofreader. "Fall Back" is a very good book. If you read the "Collapse" series, you really owe it to yourself to read the "Collapse:New Republic" series. Enjoy!!

Captivating reading...

As a resident of Colorado Springs, and the husband of an Army veteran, this book but me where I live... literally. It is obvious that the author lived here at one time, what with the depth of detail about the city, the military makeup of the area, and most importantly the can do attitude of the population.. I am looking forward to the next installment, already having completed the other series in this set. I have, and am recommending the author to friends and family! Keep up the good work!

I LOVED this book!! Having read Perfect Storm, I was excited to get stuck in to this, and was not disappointed! Concentrating on the military and their responses to the Eko virus. With their ordered world in chaos, information lacking, country leaders dead or missing, orders are orders aren't they?? When secrets start to come to light, can you truly trust those who give the orders??
Cannot wait to see what's in store for the survivors of the Eko virus!

Fast-paced Adventure

Plausible storyline with likable characters...never boring. Also, the back room intrigue kept me guessing who the bad guys really were...

Great Read!

I liked this book, well written, nicely plotted, lots of action, not your run of the mill end of the world as we know it genre book.

Fall back

Not a bad storyline, a lot of discrepancies on military customs and courtesy as a former marine that makes a book harder to read for me, even if it is fiction.
