I'm pleased all these books have been put into a paperback, I've tried e-books but I don't like them half as much. I love how so many of the stories connect to each other and they are all so good. It's very hard to pick a favourite. In brief I'd say Daisy says Goodbye was my favourite I just love those two followed by Johnny's Girl and One Perfect Christmas. They were all so good though I didn't think I'd like a Christmas Wedding as much as I did and as someone who liked Meg and Christian at first Johnny has just kept growing on me. This book is very hard to put down.

Außerdem waren alle Geschichten vom Grunde her identisch.

I love when authors take the time to give their readers a little bit extra for the stories and characters they love and this is exactly what Paige Toon fans have been given!

Although I haven’t actually read most of Paige’s books, I still feel like these short stories give an insight into the characters and I feel like I already knew them.
I’m definitely going to have to get round to picking up the rest of her books.

These stories are all beautifully heartwarming and leave you feeling a little wistful for the lives these characters are living.

It was a quick, easy read and it’s perfect for when you want all those warm, fuzzy feelings!

Each short has an intro telling readers more about the link and why Paige Toon wrote them. If you haven’t read any of Paige Toon’s previous books don’t worry. Each short story is complete in itself and makes sense. I haven’t read Chasing Daisy (but I still found it an emotive story, connecting with the characters) or The One We Fell in Love With.

I loved being back in the worlds that Paige Toon creates and how the stories link. When Lily met Alice took me right back to Thirteen Weddings; Bridget’s Beach Proposal had my heart singing and brought tears; A Christmas Wedding was also very emotional (almost half the length of a full length novel)! There’s even an exclusive mini sequel for Laura and Leo from The Longest Holiday (one of my Paige Toon favourites).

For new readers, One Perfect Christmas and other stories will give you a taster of Paige Toon’s writing style. For fans, it’s a fabulous collection of shorts (which you may have read via The Hidden Paige) all in one place.

This collection of short stories was a great read. It made me reminisce over all of Paige Toon’s stories over the years, making me want to re read them all again. Especially Johnny be good!!

You could definitely read this as a stand alone too, Paige does a great job of recapping for each short story to get you up to speed which was ideal for me as some of her stories I hadn’t read for years.

The short stories are a great way to give us readers a reunion of sorts with all the characters as I’m always wondering what they would be up to for ages after finishing a book.

Paige Toon is one of my favourite authors and it was nice to have a book full of little sequels so I could go back and revisit some of my favourite characters. I wasn’t keen on a couple of these books when I read them the first time round but I actually quite enjoyed their sequels. My favourites included: When Lily Met Alice, A Christmas Wedding (although this was quite long for a sequel), and Laura’s Longest Day (from The Longest Holiday which was actually my first and most favourite book of Paige Toon’s).

One thing I love about Paige Toon books is how she always tries to link new characters with old ones, so we know that with every new story we will probably read about some old favourite.

And this is even more the case with this collection of short stories and novellas. It gives us readers the chance to catch up with most of her characters. For me, it feels a bit like opening a tiny window to this special world where all the characters live together, overcoming new challenges, growing their families, falling in (or out of) love... So I basically read the whole book in one sitting, with a huge smile on my face.

A few of the stories in this collection have been published before as enovellas and some others were part of the Hidden Paige. If you are wondering what it is, here is a short description:

The Hidden Paige is an email newsletter featuring exclusive free content, including occasional short stories about key characters, insight about Paige's writing, event news and offers.

This newsletter always brightens my day when I get it, so if you haven't subscribed yet, then I would definitely recommend it!

So it's quite possible that you have read some of these stories before, as I myself had. But having them all together, in paper, was like discovering them all over again. There is also a brand new story related to The Longest Holiday, which even brought a couple of tears to my eyes. This book is a real treat and I would definitely recommend it to all Paige Toon readers.

The first time I came across Paige Toon’s work was in Dublin Airport. Some friends and I had been to the OXEGEN Festival at Punchtown Racecourse and we were all shattered waiting for our flight back home to Liverpool. One of my friends tootled off to WHSmith to pass the time and came back with Johnny Be Good – a perfect title of book for three book loving girls (and Back to the Future was said friends favourite movie – see, the stars were aligned on this one). We all took turns reading the book and we all loved it. This was the start of my book love towards Paige Toon.

In her latest collection – One Perfect Christmas and Other Stories – we get to go back and visit much loved characters. We get to either see scenes from different perspectives or extension stories which let us know how they are getting on now. Some people don’t like this style of book but I personally love getting back in touch with old characters.

If you are a Paige Toon fan you will appreciate this book. If you have not read anything by Paige Toon before and you want a taste of her writing style this could be the book for you too. I loved it and I have to thank Sara-Jane from Books and the City for sending me a copy.

One Perfect Christmas and Other Stories by Paige Toon is available now.

This book is a collection of spin offs from previous novels, playing with characters and thinking 'what if' or 'what happened'. Characters from some books weave in to another (which I always love). Toon intervenes with her own thoughts and explanations.
Having only read two of Paige Toon's novels ( Five years from now and The last piece of my heart) I now want to read them all, including the young adult books! Be warned though if you are a person who doesn't like spoilers don't read this book yet until you have read Paige's lengthy list of novels. Her characters are addictive and likeable and reflect on the bitter sweet challenges of life and love. She writes about places she has been and loved, with descriptions as accurate as a painted picture. If you are finding the winter a little bit too grey then get into these books and under the duvet. You will travel to Australia, America, Cambridge and Cornwall with no Jetlag whats so ever.

Oh dear, the amazing Paige Toon, if there was an option for more stars I would give them in a heartbeat.

Paige Toon is my favourite author and I had read the majority of these stories. I own all of her books (some in even more than one copy) and have read them several times. I adore her work and love how friendly she is. I also love how raw, realistic and engaging her work is.

But this collection... I think it may have been the epitome for me. I got to revisit the majority of the characters and it felt like catching up with old friends. I just want to go back and read all her books again.

I'm proud of you Paige 😁 he's hoping to one million more books ❤️

I saw that this was on special offer on Amazon and having just reread "The Longest Holiday" I couldn't resist the temptation, so I purchased it and just read until I was finished. It was lovely catching up on the characters in all of Paige Toon's stories and finding out where they had been and what they were getting up to. I would have loved to find out more, and some of the stories were actually left in a place where their stories could have continued...more than the mini-sequel they have.

I love the style of writing, the characters, their stories. I would love to read even more, now I need to wait for the next book!

If I had have just read one perfect Christmas I would have given this one star,I'm not a fan of that story at all. Several of the stories I had to skip because I hadn't read the full length novel so it wouldn't have made any sense to read but of course my favourite story in this was the last piece of my heart,I just adore that story and once again it tugged on my heart strings as it did when I read the full length novel.

I knew I would love this book and I wasn’t disappointed, Paige Toon is one of my all time favourite authors and I’ve pretty much read all of her books now and this was the perfect book to get cosy with. It was lovely to go back to the characters and have a little short story from each set of characters and they were all incredible! I’m so glad I picked it up and went back into the worlds with my favourite characters.

I read the first of the short stories contained in this collection a week ago. I can’t even remember it or anything about it. So really memorable! Started the second one, really not into it.
Maybe be my last Xmas book for the season. I enjoy reading a few each year, but I think officially over them now until next year.
Not to put anyone off. It’s a light fluffy Xmas book. I didn’t particularly love it, but can’t really complain either.

I'm so glad Paige released all of her e-stories as a collection! I really enjoyed most of them, although i could have done with a few re-reads prior to this book. I'd forgotten how intertwined all of her characters are, so it was lovely seeing snippets of all of them throughout the stories. Very enjoyable.

I don’t normally go for books where there are many short stories within one book but I found this book very enjoyable.

The author was able to make you fall in love with the characters in such a short space of time and make you feel like you really knew them.

I particularly liked the story of A Christmas Wedding, full of romance and happy ever afters ❤️

I enjoyed the stories. The characters were great and I recognised a couple of them. Lovely and classic chic lit in action!

However I really wish that I'd read the books that they are all in before reading this one. I'm hoping that when I do come to read them that these little stories won't ruin them for me.

This is a collection of short stories that are follow ons from previous books. I think if you've read all of Paiges previous books you'd probably enjoy this more although you quickly see how they are all linked. It took me a while to get into this book but was fairly enjoyable. Would recommend if you are a fan or like short stories in general.
