This is one of the best training books for bike racers. It is a well-worn reference for me. Some chapters are better than others, but it offers a more scientific approach that other training books don't.

I was hoping for more of a thoughtful discussion regarding lactate dynamics, this mostly discussed heart rate with some correlation with lactate. Still, somewhat interesting
