Ezekiel was almost 15 when he witnessed a gruesome murder. An angry mob burned his neighbor alive in the street and the man died at his feet. Sadly, it was not the last time he witnessed such horror. With his well respected father as guide and mentor, Ezekiel saw this death, then a death much closer to home when a loved one was killed in the same brutal, terrifying way 50 feet from him, and he could do nothing to stop it. Staggering to recover from these severe traumas, he finds relief and joy in meeting his first love, becomes embroiled in grand theft, and experiences heartbreaking betrayal. Ezekiel must decide if he will join the ranks of a criminal mastermind, or fight to escape the tyranny that has surrounded his young life. Or even beat them at their own game. When trust is lost, can he even trust himself?
Full disclosure: I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway so feel compelled to leave a review.
I was really looking forward to reading this book, and once I started I thoroughly expected to enjoy the book; however, that wasn't the case.
The sheer number of inconsistencies, spelling, and grammar mistakes made this book impossible to read, because they are such a huge distraction. It was just too frustrating and aggravating to try and look beyond the dismal editing, that I couldn't even get a quarter way into the book before I stopped reading.
I don’t plan on reading this book based on the horrible reviews, and each review is correct the editing is the worse I’ve ever experienced. I honestly believe this was created as a premeditated murder of sorts by a foreign scum bag. It’s extremely concerning that his house has police going through his burn pile looking for a missing UofU school student who’s been missing for 10 days. He lied about his identity claiming to be a sugar daddy. Don’t believe me look up missing person in Utah that’s linked to a home the author owns in Utah.
I hope the police read this book, hopefully they can read between the horrible editing which seems to be done on purpose. There are no mistakes made on accident with this book.
This was awful, convoluted, and messy. It seemed as though many parts were written with speech to text with many autocorrect errors. It requires serious editing, but I am not sure even a good editor can put this in good shape.
I hope the prosecutors on the author's case read this, as it seems to give a glimpse into the author's mindset. It almost reads like fanfic, of what I do not know. His ego is on display throughout the book and comes out fully in the ending.
Since Goodreads refuses to pull this book off their website I'm no longer interested in this site! Amazon atleast had the decency to remove it from their site! This author is a murderer and a sick rapist.
I won this book as a Goodreads giveaway in exchange for an honest review. I had a very difficult time getting into this book. I felt like I was thrown into the action without much set-up or backstory which made it very difficult to comprehend at the beginning. I also noticed a lot of errors in the book which made it difficult for me to focus as a reader. The book also seemed to drag for me and I could not find a character I could relate to.
MPD person, involved in a secret group, comes to America. All h*** breaks loose, in the political arena. Would have been better, without all the errors, just too many. That is why it got a 3.
I received this book for free via goodreads giveaways.
The story is interesting, but the writing tends to jump around strangely and not always connecting coherently. Very odd ending... first of many books? Also I found a paragraph which was a duplicate. Editing wasn’t a top priority for this book, but I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
