Soul Tracker #2

The Presence

Rate this book
The first subjects exposed to The Presence went insane. Now a far more terrifying experiment is about to begin... A diverse group of unusual characters is airlifted to a remote mountain lodge. Here they hope to participate in a seance connecting them to the spirit world. David Kauffman and his teenage son have joined them to debunk a world-class psychic and expose her as a hoax. But not even David is prepared for what greets them. Still shaken by his daughter's death and his visits to heaven and hell, he's swept into a fantastic journey exposing the supernatural souls of men, where unseen thoughts become unimaginable reality. As the power of The Presence increases, the group must overcome their innermost passions or be destroyed by them. All this as they struggle to break free of their captor---the head of experiment and the murderer of David's daughter. Bestselling novelist Bill Myers weaves a supernatural thriller that will keep you turning pages late into the night---and thinking days after you've finished.

Bill Myers was born into a Christian home, and although as a child he became bored with Christianity, he decided at the University of Washington quote, to "make God my boss." Ironically, at the University his worst subject was writing. He claims to have prayed, and said that he would be able to do anything for God, except write. Even so, he has become a prominent Christian writer, and has a large amount of successful books and films to his credit.

A bit lighter and fluffier than its predecessor" Soul Tracker " this novel is still spooky , intense and fantastically vividly imaginative in a supernatural /religious way again Jesus and christianity prevail over the spirits and the anti christ (Mr Obitz) evil genius. Again this audio book was extremely well read by the author. I don't think there any better example of an author enacting his book

(note one thing I do not like about Bill Myers is that in his fanatical zeal he sometimes vilifies other major world religions (like hinduism)by giving a grossly distorted view of their beliefs . I don't read christian books to hear about how other religions are evil but to hear about how christianity is good)

The kind of book you close and take a look at your own life. Bill Myers once again spins a tale full of action, tension and spiritual depth.

Really struggled with the premise of harnessing God's power. Won't be reading the next book.

How interesting it would be to see our true self with all our hues. But more how Awesome to physically see God working in our lives. Also, a reminder that demons are real, dangerous and are around us everyday. We should NOT leave ourselves open to EVIL!

This is the second book in the Soul Tracker Series. I am enjoying this series. Bill Myers always gets me thinking and keeps me thinking even after I'm finished reading the book. Looking forward to starting the third book!

Excelent read. This book had a lot more supernatural elements in it than the first one did.

A story about what can happen whey people open their minds to the occult. It was a good read, but not spectacular.

Parts original and intriguing; others a bit too on the nose.
