Desolate Era: Book 23: Endwar

Desolate Era #23

by Wo Chi Xi Hong Shi, 我吃西红柿

Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. What he didn’t know was that there really was such a thing as life after death, and that the multiverse was a far larger place than he thought.

A lucky twist of fate (one of the few in Ning’s life) meant that Ning was reborn into a world of Immortals and monsters, of Ki Refiners and powerful Fiendgods, a world where Dynasties lasted for millions of years. A world which is both greater…and yet also smaller…than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again! The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ning would make it his era.

- Quote: Being able to memorize something didn’t mean that you could truly understand and master it.
- Thoughts: Then the Seamless Gate arc is finally over.
It was a good ending, it was a long journey and it goes on further beyond.

This has been the most highly anticipated book in the series for me. The fighting is really cool. I swear that some of the prerequisites for advancement have changed as the series has gone on. Things definitely didn’t go the way I expected which was a surprise though what I expected was what I wanted so I was a little disappointed with the twists and turns.

A tribulation ended. A new journey beckons...

Extremely satisfying end to a major arc. Really had the same level of highs I had come to expect from IET after coiling dragon and stellar transformations.
