How do you single-handedly battle for justice when you are betrayed by a government infested with subterfuge, corruption and fraud? When you are forced to present evidence in your defence without an attorney, shacked to hard metal leg irons and handcuffed to a belly chain? When seasoned federal judges; veteran prosecutors; experienced investigating agents; hardened prison wardens; vile snitches; inglorious powerful individuals; and despite others, cannot, on nearly fifty occasions, refute facts, evidence and testimony unequivocally establishing that the charges are trumped-up, and yet, they look the other way? And, no, this does not occur in an authoritarian, totalitarian, or fascist regime like Germany, rather, in the United States of America...
You create your own battlefield!
Read the real accounts of Lal Bhatia's struggle and sufferings and victory in the United States of America when he decides to unravel a multi-billion dollar money laundering case which involves many ones who are supposed to uphold law, justice and safety in the country.
The book is more about a reveal, a truth which comes open and a fallacy which is broken - the great United States of America does not care for human rights as much as we expect them to do! Lal Bhatia's strong arguments, with even stronger proofs and then the testimonies that he has received from the courts - all prove that the federal judges, lawyers, FBI officials and even the corrupt politicians were knowing that their deeds against Mr Bhatia were unjust. How could they do it? How could they torcher a man who was rather exposing something fishy? Lal Bhatia was trying to expose the multi-billion dollar money laundering scam but it was he who had to be arrested and tortured and persecuted. Now that his story is in public, will the United States of America give a clarification? Will they let the readers know why was justice denied to him? This book puts a big question mark on the overall image (or an illusion of an image) of the 'great America'...
To the readers, this is a book which is based on true events in the life of Mr Lal Bhatia. A bright student who was received with a warm embrace by the USA and then, when he took to expose the corruption in the state, tortured and punished without any crime. A must-read book! Did not read anything, which despite being non-fiction and real, seemed so much interesting and thrilling... do grab your copy when it starts selling on Amazon - within 8-9 days from now.
The fallacy and fraud behind a hidden mask is no more a stranger visit. The book by Lal Bhatia exposed the mental bankruptcy of the USA about their saying and doing. Sounds nice when we listen about great America. Especially about freedom and the role of citizen. But when it comes to meet the reality the USA has another mindset. The way the author has been treated in the USA is really sad. The only mistake done by him is that he decides to expose the corruption. How far is this tolerable? Surely this book will raise some serious arguments among youths of India and especially in the groups of college students.
Unbelievable, how a single person survived from all these obstacles. When I start reading this novel, I found it really god to understand the reality of the great USA. How they cheer about democracy and what they really do on the ground. They can't handle a strong voice of a person who was trying to expose the hypocrisy and fraud going on there. The book is a must read for everyone who loves to read the story of conspiracy and thrills about real life.
Astonishing details! Could it really happen? I only ask myself this question - finished the early copy of the book last night lately and the details that the author, Lal Bhatia, has provided in his book are more than enough to blow one's mind. How could the judges involve in a pack lik this? How can an innocent be punished by the US department of justice? Human rights lobbies - where are they? Who will return the wasted years of the author? You must read this book and then only you will understand why it becomes full of pathos and angst!
A stunning book! It gave a shiver... Lal Bhatia has undergone something which could break anyone down! You need to read this immediately! That's it... You will seldom believe that a country like USA can go so low at times that it actually hurts people who are innocent and shields those who are corrupt and shrewd.
This book is going to send the shockwaves to many areas in the world... can the US do it? I mean really? Can a citizen be tortured like this? Can the justice be denied to someone just because he is unearthing a mega scam? Read this book and you will understand what the author had to go through and how could he manage to prove that he has been wronged not by any person but by an entire nation - United States of America!
Excellent content! Though I am not so much interested in the reading of books which are mostly non-fictional or without any presence of thrill and fancy, I liked reading Lal's account. His story has the strength and attraction to keep the readers engaged. You will also like it. The ordeal that he has been through just for exposing what needs to be exposed... a stunning book, I will say it once again! A must-read for every conscious citizen who wants to fight injustice of any kind. One question that remains after the read is - how could the US do this?
A Very revealing book! I am perhaps one of the early readers of this book and I will only say that you must read this book if you want to know about an iron-heart person who took on the entire system and the corrupts within it all-alone... Lal Bhatia's story takes the readers back to the early 20th century and then back to the present - from the BCCI bank's founding bricks to the billion dollars money laundering scam and then the game of intimidation and cat-rat... Lal Bhatia has been horribly wronged and he must get justice! Do read his autobiography and then you will realise for youself.
A class apart - 5/5 to the design of the book! Horrific content and a big scam exposed related to Bank of Commerce and Credit International - you will feel for the author Lal Bhatia after reading this book... thrill and fear are injected in the narrative and it makes the book gloomy. Just imagine what could have been going through the thoughts of Lal Bhatia when he was suffering all this alone in the USA prison! Can he get the justice even now?
What do you think of a book which offers you a deadly story of corruption and also a story of battle which one person waged single-handedly against the cronies and the corrupts in various departments... a person who was bullied, harassed, bereaved of human rights and unfairly trialed... we are not talking about any Arab country but of the United States... Read Lal Bhatia's story and you will know of a scam, a scapegoat and a world which has no mercy for the innocents but love for the crooks...
This is a stunning book... because all the details are given, I can easily trust the author. However, at some points, the book becomes slow - technical argument I have. This has nothing to do with other people's choice of reading this book. You must read this book and form your own opinion on this. My choice is - the content is good - the way content is presented might be better. Lal Bhatia's story is very shocking and I am just curious what will the US authorities do when they know about this book...
This book exposes the corruption that has usurped the department of justice and the FBI in the USA... Lal Bhatia exposes how he battled all alone against all those crooks who came together to fix him in a crime that he wanted to expose... every tiny detail is there and you cannot dispute any fact.. how could they do it! That's the only question you will remain with once you read this book... A big sham - Uncle Sam!
A dramatic tale of a hero who sacrificed his life to ensure that fraud should not happen in such a way. he lost his more than fifteen golden years. He was trying to expose the fraud gong in the reputed organisation like BCCI. The tell is really a magnificent work of a man called Lall Bhatia.
I am astonished to see the reality these are really hard facts to swallow. I think this book is an indispensable need of every Indian to understand the grieve of a fellow Indian and millions out there who are feeling the same. The author tries to expose the corruption of billion dollar scam but what he gets in return, punishment, torture, these are the rewards he received for his honesty from the so-called a liberal and developed country. while I was reading this book I found the author so furious that he called many time bank of crooked and criminals. These lines are enough the right amount of anger and frustration burning inside the mind of the author. There is no doubt about this book that it is going to change the vision of Indians towards the USA. How can you persecute anyone for the right works, not just persecution you did it so unfairly. After so many times I found a book that I enjoyed really.
The book indicting goliath is an autobiography written by lal Bhatia. This book has been divided into two parts A & B . Part A consists of eight chapters and part b also consists of the same amount of chapters. In his autobiography, he is telling the story of betrayal, fraud and injustice. How the partners betrayed him and the government of the USA was running an unfair trial. Everywhere there was no ray of hope for MR. lal Bhatia but he never stopped himself for doing what was right. At last, he received a letter of apology from the USA government but that was not the right thing that can justify his honour. For the last ten years, he has lost everything his family, friends and his golden days of works. Can these days be given back to him? An apology is enough to justify the heinous crime done by the USA government.
The autobiography tries to explore those realities of the USA which are untold and unseen. How a strong voice of justice can be penalised and threatened to leave the country. Everything seems to be mixed up of propaganda that has been plotted by some higher authorities. The judicial work was taking place but not in the way it should be. Mr Lal Bhatia was accused of fraud but the behaviour of judiciary and FBI were like they got a terrorist. It's the voice of all those Indians living out of their country. The trauma they had to suffer due to unfair trials. Many like Mr Bhatia were waiting for an opportunity but this man has shown the guts to expose it. Really a very interesting book if you read it page by page you will understand the misery of this person and the suffering. What this person was in the starting and what he has become after the things took place.
Lal Bhatia's autobiography, Indicting Goliath, though metaphoric it might seem, is a real-life story and account of what happened to him while he was a US citizen. In this book, he directly accuses the FBI, the Department of Justice, the officials in the government as well as the United States... What is said by Lal Bhatia is not an arrow with no aim - he provides all the proofs, all the documents and everything else that one needs to testify the accusations and the expositions that Lal makes. He has narrated a horrendous story which can shock a reader who reads this stunning book. Only one question remains - will the US Govt. do something about the billion dollar money laundering scam that Lal Bhatia exposed? Will the culprits go to jail? Will an Indian get the justice? A must read book for Indians where they get a surprising HERO!
A fantastic tale of betrayal, hypocrisy, corruption, injustice and unfair torture. There is a bit of aggression from the opposite side that tries to put the author in a serious pressure to quit his job to expose the ongoing corruption. What is written in the book clearly suggest at that time there was an indispensable need of making a commitment. and the author does the well. There were widespread lies and hatred against lal Bhatia. Everyone was trying to put him behind the bars but the fate was something else. On a serious note, I am surprised to read this book that how he handles all against him. An act of fraudulence and injustice never stopped him to perform his duty to exposes the corrupts.
The Goliath has finally been indicted! Lal Bhatia was issued an indirect apology from the US Department of justice... Indicting Goliath is a book that documents the difficult journey Lal had to take in order to prove what he was saying was to be true... I have read the book two times in the past four days just to make sure I do not miss any of the facts that Lal has indicated in his book... right since the start of the affairs - Bank of Credit and Commerce International to the day when Lal Bhatia was acquited... a horrific autobiography with torture, torment and a determination of not yielding!
An Indian vs the corrupt and the crook... in the USA Lal Bhatia's memoir recounts the account of the days that he had to spend in the prison for a crime that he wanted to expose. The corrupt system of justice delivery in the US failed him and he was left with no counsel - separated from his wife and children and family, Mr Bhatia had to live alone for years trying to prove himself innocent in a money laundering case that had its roots in the Justice Department, FBI and even in the politics of the USA... do you know anything about this? Make sure you read the story of Lal's struggle and his victory (almost)... but the saga still goes on!
This book is a testimony to all those instances when a person chased, hounded and indicted by the states just because he is trying to expose something big which involves the important people in power... Lal Bhatia, once an asset to the USA and a responsible citizen doing his usual duty, has spent a good part of his life in the jails there... trying to prove his innocence and finally gets the success but at what cost? And now that he has proved who were the culprits and how the people within FBI and Justice Department enjoyed the fair share of collusion, will the state act against them? A troublesome book with details which will make you think a lot!
I can easily say that the book is extraordinary... in the terms of subject matter and content and even language and lexicon, the book becomes an easy but very important read for the readers. One can learn about the crushing power of the state and in this case, the United States. Lal Bhatia exposes the channels in the USA which allow easy money laundering to the capitalists as well as the moles in various government departments who make their works easy. His days in prison, his tactics and his never-die attitude are really motivational for the readers... know the story of Lal Bhatia by reading this book.
Now I am only thinking whether the author will take it to the logical conclusion with a lawsuit or not... what the USA authorities have done with Lal Bhatia is really horrific and unlawful and utter fraud! I liked the book and appreciate the way the author has unfolded his story to the mass audience - a story of suffering and a lot of learning when your closed ones and relatives as well as friends and business partners backstab you. When the government bodies collude with private citizens to get you harrassed and bullied, imprisoned, tortured and prosecuted without a crime committed... moving book!
The fantistic book with fantastic details. The book revels about the malpractices that are involved now a days in the govt. offices. Not only this, the book also revels the hypocracy that included even the judge of the state. The story is typically US based & the fight against corruption which goes invein. The man raises his voice against them and thus he faces many obstruction and ordels by the authorites concerned, which further showes the reality of USA that exclaims itselfs to be a democratic nation which is actually not. lal bhatia, the writter of the book has wonderfully shown the plots and each details have been intresting. I love the book and the way it has been portrayed.
Truths are always hard facts to listen. The USA tries to set the dancing tune for Lal Bhatia but this brave person was more lever than of their thoughts. Though he has to go from many miseries he never quit the moment he started to expose the hypocrisy. This man was wrongly persecuted put in the prison like a terrorist. He escaped from all the evil things done by their side and remain silent. At last, he received the apology letter but he has lost his family alone in the USA. A must-read book for everyone who wants to understand the difficulties a man has to pass when they are residing outside their home.
The capitol punishment is required for those people who have committed some horrible crimes, not for a person who has been just accused of a fraud. Don't you think it's the apex of inhumanity to put an iron chain in the hands of that person that the marks of blood can be easily seen on the hands? They tried their very best to uproot this person but he never succumbed to their ideas. The unfair trails and bankrupt justice all around the book are all about this. I have never witnessed that kind of hypocrisy before from any one's side. This autobiography will show you the true face of the united states.
In this book, the author Lal Bhatia exposes g]how the USA government at a very high level engaged in sustaining a crooked bank which laundered money in billions. However, his dare wasn't like by the corrupt officials in FBI and the justice department. Subsequently, lal Bhatia was jailed and tortured for more than a decade but at last the USA justice department acknowledge that Mr Bhatia was innocent. this book will plea layer by layer the white cloth from the corruption-clad the USA. A must read book for every Indian.
Reading Lal Bhatia's book made me feel angry, afraid as well as so emotional... he has clearly been able to bring out to the public what transpired in the past. The language is lucid and so is the narrative... As an Indian, I feel anguished because Lal's crime was nothing more than a good cause that he was trying to expose a corruption case, a money-laundering scam which was going... You need to read this book to understand what Lal had to go through and how big and deep the corrupt-collusion in the USA is.
story of an Indian who was badly treated, forcefully alleged and was bereaved of human rights story of a money-laundering scam which involved high-profile individuals like federal judges, corrupt FBI officials and politicians Story of a person who was forced to live away from his family because he tried to expose that scam story of an individual who is still fighting for justice against the goliaths in the USA
As a citizen, as an Indian, as a person concerned about human rights, I will say that the book MUST be read by all who are like me!
A fantastic book... bursts the balloon of the USA department of justice and the FBI... what do these guys really do? They torture inhumanly the innocent citizen who wanted to expose the corrupts... I truly feel for Lal Bhatia and his pathetic condition that was made to happen by the corrupts and the wicked ones in the agencies and the government. Indicting Goliath is a tight slap on the face of the USA... the USA that tried to silence the voice of a citizen who was determined to expose the corrupts of the BCCI.
