Life as the best friend of the most popular girl in school was everything I'd hoped it would be. Granted, people called me Other Jamie behind my back and I have to sometimes be a brat in order to keep my place as said best friend...but it's worth it. Anything is better than going back to being only known as Jake's, not as talented, little sister.
But then Cole. I tried to ignore the way my heart speeds up every time he looks my way. The new boy is only trouble since my best friend has already laid claim to him. There are plenty of other guys and it's something I make sure Cole understands.

I loved this book! Definitely my favourite over Lacey's story - I just found Jamie to be the more interesting character. I haven't read the second book, Anna's story, so there were a couple of gaps but nothing too major. The fourth is Tina's, and I'm really hoping the fifth will be Audrey's as she is super intriguing!
I do love a good mean girls type of story, and this really fit the bill. Jamie's best friend, also called Jamie, is a massive bitch, and this Jamie is pretty much her lackey. Other Jamie (the queen bee) is head cheerleader and is forever picking on Our Jamie's weight/size, pretending she's just a good friend looking out for her and making sure she can still fit into her cheer uniform. Hah! She does nothing but put Our Jamie down and manipulate her.

Better! As the series progresses, the stories seem to get lighter on the issues. At least I didn’t need a box of tissues for this one! Really enjoying the series and I’m looking forward to finally getting to read Tina’s story.

The “other” Jamie; she let Jamie control her and everything that is going on in her life. From her clothes, the way she looks and the guy she likes. She’s so afraid of Jamie that she doesn’t have her own mind. I cannot wait until she grows one so that she can’t stop letting Jamie control her. The other Jamie needs Cole in her life. I cannot wait until Cole; probe to Jamie that he wants the “other” Jamie instead of her ass. I can’t stand that Jamie girl. The other Jamie; she doesn’t seem to bad; especially when she becomes her true self and not be who Jamie wants her to be. Hopefully, she becomes friends with Lacey and her friends once she her real self. But I am wondering if the “other” Jamie is the Jamie that was supposed to be friends with Lacey and her friends before their friend Ash had died, and the other Jamie became a cheerleader... I can’t seem to remember which Jamie it was.
Oh, I love this quote of what Ella said to the “other” Jamie “Are you sure? Because sometimes, no matter how much our friend likes a guy, if the guy doesn’t like her back, it won’t work out.”
Lord, I hope and can’t wait until the other Jamie (Jamie Jenkins) understand that Cole not thinking about Jamie (the evil on one)
This other Jamie is so dumb she let her friend talk bad about her talk about her weight etc., and she still friends with her. Even after the fact she (her friend Jamie) disrespected her brother girl Ella & still wants Cole after the fact she knows the “other” Jamie wants him / have a crush on him. Gosh, I want to smack the other Jamie so bad for being so ignorant and dumb minded ugh! This girl is so annoying! Gah!
But, the other Jamie seems happier since she got (well so, “devil” Jamie got rid of her)... like Ella said Jamie was toxic; she wasn’t good for the “other” Jamie. Once she was done with devil Jamie. Everything went well for her again!
& in the end, I was glad that the “other” Jamie made great decisions; made new and better friends; apologies to many people she hurt. She seems happier since Jamie not in her life. Funny how “evil” Jamie wanted to hurt her (“other Jamie); but in the end, she was the one life gotten ruined by getting pregnant. Glad, that the guy that evil Jamie got pregnant by; his mom was smart enough not to let her get rid of the baby like she did the first one... Cole best friend Scotty dodge that bullet! & I am also glad that Cole finally stops acting stank and got with “other” Jamie finally it took him long (prom) enough ask her out. I like in the end (five years later; Cole and Jamie got married; Payton got married to Dragon, and Jake and Ella had a baby :D

At the beginning I didn't like Jamie at all - she was rude to her parents, rude to kids at school and inexplicably loyal to her bff Jamie (yeah, two Jamies), who was mean in the truest sense of the word. But happily from the middle of the book onward Jamie found herself and started to listen more to her heart which at its core was a good one. I was happy she did some soul healing and emerged from everything as a better person. And Cole was also a very likeable character - he was not only good looking but also kind and considerate, so double awesomeness 😄. I definitely enjoyed this YA story and couldn't put it down. Julia Keanini writes wonderful YA books and engrosses you completely in her stories. Now moving on to read Tina's story.

I almost put this book down. It was almost like reliving high school again, but mine was never that bad thank goodness. Still, the cattiness and crap in the first part were annoying and frustrating. However, I did keep reading hoping for some kind of positive or redemption. I was rewarded. A great forgiving and being forgiven story. Yet knowing some people don't change the important relationships can hold tight.

The Other Jamie
Jamie finally has a chance to tell her story. I wasn’t sure I would like her story as much as Lacey or Anna but I did. I am a bit annoyed that both Anna and Lacey got epilogues yet Lacey did not. Other than that I am still falling in love with these books and gladly recommending them to all!

Cute
The story was cute. I love having a series to just blow through in days when I'm bored. I love that she grew as a character. I also love that the author lets you know how it ends up in the future.

This was a great story
Jamie the self centered puppet of the cheer leader gets served karma and the w hill gets to witness it. And she learns how bad she really was. Wish this happened in my high school days, but this is awesomeness me to read because who would have known!

Too much mean girl drama
I love the teasing relationship with Jamie and Cole, but it took a back seat to the mean girl drama. It continues the Sunday Lunchers’ series with Jamie’s story, but the sweet story was swallowed by the meanness and heartache.

Liked better
I had a hard time liking Jamie...but by the end I did. I love that the epilogue is always later in time.

I would give this novel a 3/5. I loved the book and it gave us the point of view of a popular cheerleader. It had me screaming and name-calling at times, and close to tears at other moments. It was however slightly cliché at times and some outcomes expected. It is however a great book – slightly lighter than the books before it in the series, as it does not include as many examples of the unhealthy behaviours of those with eating disorders.
