Surrender for Love
Darcy Armstrong is a strong, independent woman who has been dealt a bad hand in life. She is a single mother of a beautiful little girl named Emma. After a missile explosion leaves Darcy with several broken bones, she is sent home from the military.
Malcom Sparks, a soldier who was stationed with her during the explosion, offers to come with her and help care for her and her little girl. Except, Malcom is interested in being more than just a helping hand around the house.

*I had a hard time rating this book. While I say 3, to me its almost a 4... so like a 3.95 stars!*
I really enjoy the passion and love Lynn has for all of her characters, and it shows when she writes about them. To her, these are real people in her life, and I feel like they become real people to me.
Definitely starting with a whirlwind, we see how Darcy and Malcolm handle what life has thrown at them time after time, till the very end. One thing after another, Darcy can’t seem to catch a break, but with Malcolm in her life, she is shown that no matter what love that is meant to be can’t be stopped, and Malcolm is determined to be her silver lining in all rain clouds that come her way. Be ready for tissues at the dramatic end.
This is will need to be read in order, as some of our favorite characters from Chaplain: Sacrifice for Love return to follow Darcy and Malcolm on their rollercoaster ride.
I will say that there were some places that I hoped for a little more... well more, and I know Lynn has the determination and passion to get there. I will continue to champion her on towards great things.

First, I want to thank Lynn Hammond for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
Warning you that you will definitely need a lot of tissues for this emotional roller coaster ride in The Chaplin: Book 2 Surrender for Love by Lynn Hammond. This book must be read as a part of the series and not as a standalone so you can get a good feel of the storyline and characters. You will see the return of Linkin, Sophia, and Malcom. I thought the last book was good. WOW! She outdid herself on this one! This one is full of emotions and totally pulled on all of my heart strings for so many reasons why!
Immediately, you are brought into the story in a shocking way! That first page had me hooked! I had to find out what happened to Darcy! I was not going to end the book til I knew how it all played out. Believe me when I say with all the twist and turns in this book-I DID NOT see that ending coming!!!
One thing I commend about Lynn’s writing is she definitely writes from the heart, has a passion for her characters, and her storylines she writes about. You can tell by the way she describes events, actions of her characters, the emotions behind the characters, and the details of the storylines. She makes you feel compassion for what the characters are going through. For me there were times when I would I was so happy for Darcy that I would be smiling ear to ear. Other times I would be bawling my eyes out because life is not fair.
Emma is the cutest little girl ever and melted my heart in the story! The way she could not say Linkin so she said link. She called Malcom Mal. Sweetest kid ever who loved her Mama!

Sweet love story!
This is the 2nd story in the series. It will make you smile and cry. This author knows how to tug at your heartstrings. Her stories are about things and circumstances that really happen. They give you hope when things seem so bleak. This book is about Darcy, her daughter Emma and Malcom. Darcy is injured and sent home from the Military. Malcom offers to go with her and help her and her little girl. When Darcy falls they find out she has cancer. Reading this book knowing Darcy is struggling with thoughts about her beautiful child. What will happen to her if she dies, who will take care of her child? Is it fair to keep Malcom there thinking she will die? It literally made me cry, being a mother I know the thoughts going through her head. This was just an amazing book. It is full of love and especially a mother's love for her child!!!!! There is nothing stronger. Such a talented author and I highly recommend this book as a must read!!!!!

Surrender for Love is Book 2 of the Chaplain Series so it starts out with familiar, already loved characters. This time, Malcom and Darcy take center stage with sweet little Emma, Chaplain Linkin and his wife, Sophia, as a great supporting cast, very literally, as Darcy is fighting for her life due to a sad medical prognosis. The book is a conundrum of blissful lovemaking and heartbreaking hospital scenes as the characters fight for normalcy while trying to live life to its fullest every second of every day. The shocks, happy surprises and bittersweet moments in Surrender for Love will keep you quickly turning the pages until the very end.

Whoa. This was such a powerful read.
Darcy, that poor woman, has been through so dang much and yet, it's not over. I told myself I would not cry. Yet I did.
Malcom finally found the love of his life and asked her to marry him and be a father to Emma. The man is head over heels in love and ready to spend the rest of his life with Darcy.
These two were meant to be together. The love between them is beautiful. Not to give away any spoilers, I'll end this here. But this series is so worth the read. It's so touching and heartfelt written.

Wow, I had to take the time to compose myself before writing this review. I have had my heart filled to bursting on one page to have it ripped to shreds the next. You will laugh, ugly cry and rejoice in the wonderful miracles of the world throughout reading this book. Grab the tissues. I loved it! Full 5 stars.

Just as good as the first
Darcy was a best friend to Link in and Sophia in book one. Book 2 is her story with Malcom with Link and Sophia too. Darcy has been through so much and her struggles continue here... Thank God for all who love her.
