Former Navy SEAL Logan Dodge travels across the Caribbean and learns the painful truth behind his father’s death. Instead of dying of natural causes like he was told, his father was murdered and the thugs behind it are still at large.
Vowing revenge, Logan races to take down the drug smugglers responsible, but soon discovers a secret that his father died to protect. A secret that threatens countless innocent lives.
A lost German U-boat, a deadly biological weapon, and fifty million in gold and diamonds lost beneath the waves. The stakes have never been higher for Logan and his friends in Revenge in the Keys.
Matthew is the author of the Florida Keys Adventure Series and the Jason Wake Novels. He's always had a deep rooted love for adventure and the ocean. He loves traveling, diving, rock climbing and writing adventure novels.
#3 in the Logan Dodge series and a better story. Logan learns that his dad’s death was not as reported and it leads to wild adventure, old secrets, and a couple of amazing discoveries. He is joined by his compatriots, Jack and Ange, - and even Scott makes an appearance. 3.5 ⭐️
Logan, Ange, Scott, and Jack have another rip-roaring adventure with another bunch of despicable bad guys. I really love this unbelievable adventure series -- about 3 hours of pleasant reading, with no really deep thinking involved. A lot of the reading that I do is just for that purpose, as I have almost completely shut off the TV. Matthew Rief writes about a part of the country that I would really like to see, about a bunch of people that are bigger than life, and do completely unpleasant things to the bad guys. I'm sure that there are people in the world with the skills that they have, and may be even more -- but it is beyond my ability to comprehend. I will want to read the rest of the Logan Dodge series, and would recommend it to anyone that just wants to read an adventure that you don't have to invest a lot in.
Another good story with colorful characters, lots of action, and fast boats. However, nitrogen narcosis is NOT the same as the bends. And it's really unlikely for anyone to "bleed out" from a forehead cut. Head wounds bleed profusely, but bleeding out usually means exsanguination.
Also, in a previous book, while Logan was fighting a bad guy on a boat, the author referred to Logan's feet hitting the floor. Navy personnel would more likely used the word "deck".
These slips tend to break the reader out of the story trance. I will continue to work through the series because I really enjoy the adventures and the characters.
A couple of lifetimes ago, I spent a year in Key West where I learned to be a sonarman. I always wanted to go back and visit but life got in the way. Now it has been over 50 years and I am too beat up and warn out to travel. It's nice to travel looking through your words. Street names are haven't changed but I am sure most everything else is different. I was spoiled by the scuba diving, when I left there, I gave all my diving gear away. I would never dive in warm and clear water again.
Many mistakes regarding diving, especially the Draeger rebreather. For example, you can't "look over the regulator" as there's no second stage attached to the mouthpiece as in traditional SCUBA. It's also worn on the front, not the back. Can't be used for deep diving, only to 70 feet. There is a mixed gas version, however, it's too bulky for use as described, especially "stealth" missions.
Another good read - entertaining from cover to cover
I was looking for a good action/adventure/thriller novel set in the Florida Keys before going there on vacation recently, and happened to find this series on Amazon. It did not disappoint! By the time I returned home from vacation, I was three books into the series. The story lines are good, straightforward and reasonably believable, with lots of local color - the perfect vacation read!
As always, this author has kept me so engaged, that I literally could not put this book down. The plot was both facilitating, exciting and frightening at the same time. You find yourself feeling like you know these characters and want them to not only be successful but unharmed in the process. I love these characters., and though never had an opportunity to travel to Florida and the Keys, , I feel like I know it well. Thank you
It is not often you get to dive a German U boat, especially one that is in your own back yard so to speak. Logan's dad did and he left clues for Logan to find it. This is no ordinary U boat. The torpedo is weaponized with deadly chemicals. Down with the boat is wedged a very heavy box. Logan's dad was murdered because he wouldn't give up the location. Now they are after Logan. They just might be sorry they did that.
And also, in this great story is the find of a World War II German submarine buried in the waters in the Keys. Plenty of exciting action and this again is another excellent Logan Dodge adventure. I can't stop reading these high-action thrillers with outstanding story lines. Another winner for the author.
In again a fast read with lots of action and the characters are always the best ever Angie and Logan are a great team and looking forward to the next in this series
This book is full of adventure, diving and about the Florida Keys, an area that I love . It also is full of information about open water diving, an activity of which I love! A great read!
A non-stop action thriller filled with action, suspense and intrigue beginning on page one. This is an excellent book that has the reader turning pages to see what happens next. Read it in one sitting and ready for the next book in the serie.
Logan and team at their best!!! Well developed story and characters. Lots of action, caribbean fun and excellent fresh seafood!!! Can't miss it, a must read!!! Ready for the next adventure!!!
There is a lot of action in this Logan Dodge adventure. The descriptions are very excellent and give the reader an interesting visual image of what is happening! Very imaginative!
With maybe not so much killing as other books with Mr Dodge, this captured my attention, even though it had a predictable ending. Well written with just enough detail. Rock on!
I have read many of this author’s books and this particular one has resonated with my passion and sense of integrity. Great ending and superb lead up and surprising drama injections in the story line.
This is 3rd book I’ve read of A Logan Dodge adventure book. Even my husband likes the books and he’s not a ‘reader’, but these peaked his interest and kept him interested!
Another well written book. The series is one of those that keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting for what is going to happen next. Keep them coming! !!
