A collection of essays, short fiction and observations on the Sherlock Holmes stories. Many of the essays were originally delivered/submitted to Sherlockian societies over the years. Some of them were fascinating - the essay about aniseed and drag hounds was particularly interesting. Other topics discussed theories that Holmes was a physician, how Holmes was educated, and animal behavior in the Canon.
I only deduct a point for some of the formatting, not the content. In some of the essays, the formatting was off (omitting indentation) - this is an issue I've seen a lot more lately, don't know why.
A fascinating collection of articles. references, and stories relating to the use of science in solving crimes. The stories were of an exceptional quality and made me wish for more and or longer.
