OUTBACK HEARTS (#1)
Sam never thought she'd actually be chosen for a reality show--but the next thing she knew, she was whisked away to Australia. Dealing with a producer willing to do whatever he had to do make the show a hit, other women ready to cheat and lie to gain the attention of the bachelor, and a camera operator ready to catch her at her worst every time she turned around, absolutely nothing was as simple as it seemed on TV. Sam wasn't sure she was going to make it through filming most days--never mind find true love.

Alex never thought he'd be on a reality show, but how hard could being surrounded by beautiful women be? A lot harder than he'd thought. The producer changed the rules of the show behind his back, the women were nearly clawing at each other for this attention--and then there was that one contestant he couldn't get off his mind.

Can two people who are meant to be together manage to fight catty contestants, a crazy producer and find true love on a reality show in the Australian Outback?

FLAMING HEARTS (#2)
Becky is on a reality show in Arizona, but instead of having the single men compete with each other for her affections, she has to compete with another woman for theirs. While on a disastrous double date for the show, Becky meets a wonder man, too bad she's not allowed to talk to him.

Dean finds the one woman he knows is meant to be his, but there's a problem, she's a contestant on a reality show. Working with his brother, who just happens to be a cameraman on the show, they put together a scheme to get Dean access to the set. Now all he has to do is convince Becky to choose him.

Their relationship blossoms, but when trouble arises, Becky has to decide if she can trust Dean enough to help her, or if she's better off alone. Dean would do anything for the woman he loves, but first he has to find her.

FROZEN HEARTS (#3)
Working as a camper operator for a hard-nosed producer isn't all fun and games. Kina is seriously thinking about making this reality show her last. She's known as being 'cold-as-ice' when it comes to men, which is appropriate since they're filming in Alaska. Before she can figure out what she wants to do with her life she had to make it through this show.

The Alaskan reality show is Jonathan's last gig before he goes to work in security with his brother. The shoot would be completely miserable except for the fact that the one woman in the world who is meant to be his is also a camera operator on the show.

Fighting boredom and drama within the crew, hiking across glaciers, and camping in the Alaskan wilderness isn't as safe as it seems on television. An injury on the set will either bring Jonathan and Kina together, or tear them apart for good.

Outback Hearts, 4 stars
That had a light-heartedness to it that I didn’t expect! Alex and Sam find themselves in a situation they didn’t expect, and made the best of it. Real life isn’t reality television, and they quickly figure that out. You knew they were going to end up together, but the ride to get them there was twisty 😊

Flaming Hearts, 4 stars
Okay, that did not go as I expected starting out, and took a dark turn when least expected. Loved the instant knowledge of ‘the One’, and while our FMC’s choices sometimes seemed out of character with her other actions, the explanation she provided for the big moment, gave some insight

Frozen Hearts, 5 stars
Okay, these two definitely ended off the series in style! We’ve known them both, liked them both, and while there is some of the ickiness from the previous books, it isn’t as bad here. Nope, neither character was going to stand for that. They let things progress naturally, dealing with hiccups as they happened, and learning more about themselves as they did <3

Beyond Reality

I love all three books. I got pulled into the storyline. The characters were strong and enjoyable. They had enough of spice to make them more intense. Highly recommended

Outback Hearts

Sam never expected to be chosen for a reality show in Australia. Not only does she finds herself dealing with a producer willing to do whatever he has to do make the show a hit, but also with other women ready to do whatever they need to do in order to catch he eye of the handsome bachelor. Sam finds herself on many occasions not sure whether she would survive this reality show or even if she wants to.

Alex never anticipated being on a reality show surrounded by beautiful women. He finds it difficult dealing with an unscrupulous producer and a bunch of catty women. But in among the catty women he finds one who is nothing like the others or any woman he has ever met.

Can two of them survive the chaos and find a way back to each other?

Flaming Hearts

Becky is on a reality show in Arizona, but instead of having the single men compete with each other for her affections, she has to compete with another woman for theirs. While on a disastrous double date for the show, Becky meets a wonder man, too bad she's not allowed to talk to him.

Frozen Hearts

Kina is working as a camera operator once again on this reality show. But she is seriously considering making this her last show. Because of a horrible past relationship she really does not want to deal with any man.

This Alaskan reality show will be Jonathan's last gig before he goes to work in security with his brother. The only thing that makes this bearable is the one woman in the world who is meant to be his is also a camera operator on the show.

Convincing Kina that she is his "One" will be a challenge for Jonathan. But an injury on set will put everything in perspective.

Have you ever watched the Bachelor? Or any other reality show for that matter. This is the Beyond Reality series and it all takes place around a reality show. It's three books in one box-set so I'll break down my review by the book...

**Outback Hearts Review**
Sam is just a normal woman from Albuquerque. She's an animal lover, single, and your regular everyday woman. She loves the outdoors, is an independent woman, and knows that she can do everything on her own even though finding her one true love would be amazing. Her friends convince her to randomly sign up for a reality dating show, knowing that she has little to no chance of being selected, so they all sign up. However, after taking long enough that she completely forgot about it, she's selected! Wow!

Alex has his own business as well as a ranch in Texas. He was randomly convinced to take some photos to be used as possible contestants on a reality show. He didn't expect to be selected as the bachelor on a reality dating show set in the Outback of Australia. But, wouldn't you know it.... he is. Thankfully, during the course of filming the show, he's able to sneak a peak at the tapes each night and thinks he's got the say in who stays and who goes.

Of course, you have the typical bachelorettes. Pretty, tall, heavily made up, and conniving in every way. They cheat. They lie. It's completely pandemonium. Of course things are heating up with the basic outcast and the bachelor.

I don't know how much you know about the filming of reality shows but I can totally see all this shady rating-seaking behavior happening in real life. It's all about the ratings right? I wanted to scream at some of the characters so badly throughout the entire book. But I was happy with the ending either way. It all worked out the way it should have.

**Flaming Hearts Review**
Here we get to see Eddie and team again filming another degrading reality show only this time their in Arizona. Oh how I want to slap Eddie hard across the face with a rotten catfish.

Becky and her mother used to love watching reality shows on television together. They always joked about how awesome it would be for her to be one of the contestants and they would randomly send in entry forms. Of course, her mother is gone now but she still gets to live their collective dream of being on a reality show in Arizona. Only this dream is turning out to be more of a nightmare.

Cameraman Jonathan has family in Arizona. His brother Dean works in security and lives nearby where the filming is taking place. Since he's close, Jonathan gets to spend his evenings with his family while he's not busy lugging around a camera on his shoulder. He gets his brother involved with keeping an eye on Becky since he feels so bad for the way things are going for her on the show. Little do they know at the time that Becky is going to be Dean's 'one'. I just love how protective he feels over her. The end kind of broke my heart though with everything that happened and he wasn't able to be there to save her from it. But I'm happy with the ending for sure.

We get to see a cameo appearance from our faves Sam and Alex from the previous book so that was nice. And, wouldn't you know it, the end opened it up for the next book perfectly. Jonathan's turn!!!!

**Frozen Hearts Review**
And this is Jonathan's story. He never thought he'd meet his 'one' like the rest of the men in his family until he had approached the rest of the camera crew about finding Becky in the previous book. After having worked alongside Kina for a while, he finally looked at her directly in conversation and realized that she's been right there in front of him the entire time.

Kina, however, is hesitant to get into a relationship after a series of bad relationships and one that was all sorts of abusive. But boy oh boy are these two explosive together. He wants to be there with her but still allow her to show her independence and that's just what she needs.

Then he puts himself between her and imminent danger. It gets a little scary for a while towards the end but I'm happy that it all worked out okay. We got to see Becky and Dean again in this book, obviously since Dean and Jonathan are brothers. But we also got to see Sam and Alex again at the end as well. It was a great finish to an awesome series. Definitely Beyond Reality.

I purchased a copy of the short novel Outback Hearts (Beyond Reality Book 1) by Susan Stoker and this review was given freely.
Outdoor enthusiast Sam moves to Australia to be on a Bachelor TV show with Alex but gets more than she bargained for with the lack of privacy and backstabbing amongst the cast and Directors. Best if read in order in series. This is a sweet romance with lots of angst, a strong female lead, and love triumphant over the lies.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the short novel Flaming Hearts (Beyond Reality Book 2) by Susan Stoker and this review was given freely.
Alone after her mother's death, reality show junkie Becky winds up on a degrading bachelorette reality show in Arizona where she learns that she has to compete with a model perfect opponent. Similar to Sam from book 1, Becky is a shy, average build woman with an average job and a love for animals placed in a degrading reality show. Helpful camera operators Kina and Jonathan, a cameo from Alex and Sam, the love of security expert Dean and his family, the ever changing drama, and a late story threat make this Love at first sight a bittersweet but interesting read.
Best if read in order in series. Best for 18+ contains physical abuse and attempted rape.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of Frozen Hearts (Beyond Reality Book 3)by Susan Stoker and this review was given freely.
Opens with a bittersweet short synopsis of Flaming Hearts. Finally the love story of gun shy Camera operator Kina and Dean's brother Jonathan! After the cameos in the last two novels, it is brave and ethic conscious Kina's time to shine. Camera operators Kina and Jonathan follow the reality show's crew one more season with the format changed to the rugged outdoorsman "Extreme Alaskan" theme. Drama packed with multiple near death experiences, this novel affirms acceptance of unconditional love, trust and family as well as offering hope in the form of stalker documentaries to increase awareness and hopefully safety.
Best if read in order in series. Violence level recommended for 18+

Read below for individual reviews...

Outback Hearts- Sam and Alex’s story was beautiful. If the “reality shows” were accurate, then I am glad to know my opinions were correct. It’s not genuine reality stories and edits don’t tell the whole or even part of the real story. I felt sorry for Sam aka Sammi for how she was treated but her resilience was admirable. Alex aka Al stole my heart and don’t get me started on the Mean Girls. Well worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Flaming Hearts - Becky and Dean’s story was touching and sad at the same time. Dean was the most shocking with his “The One” belief but Becky had reservations, which was realistic considering the timeline. What she endured was heartbreaking. Well Worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Frozen Hearts - Jonathan and Kina’s story. The only thing I enjoyed about this book was the “Would you Rather?” questions. Compared to the previous two in the series (which were 5 stars) this one was lacking. In fact I thought it was boring until the last chapter. And I hate that we never found out who was the winner. While Kina may not have wanted to know I DID! My honest review for this book is ⭐️⭐️ and it’s only that high because of the would you rather questions. I just couldn’t relate to either character and felt that Jonathan pressured her too much and wanted her to change her entire life after a few weeks

Outback Hearts - Sam and Alex might meet under the guise of a reality television show, but their connection goes so much further. Entertaining and a good read. Looking forward to more in the series.
Flaming Hearts - While Becky feels her time on the reality show is a complete waste it is not until her safety comes into question that she understands the instant connection with Dean. Filled with great characters, this was a good read.
Frozen Hearts - With frozen temps, a shared tent and a bear attack, Jonathan and Kina go from coworkers to so much more while taping the Alaskan reality series. Very emotional and wonderfully written characters make this the best book of the series.

Excellent Trilogy

Tied together and yet separated stories this Reality series makes me glad that I never cared for the shows and still don't. The faked way things are presented were always suspect and although these are novels they pretty much confirmed my suspicion. I figured with the research an author does to write a good book was enough for me. Glad that in here there is always a HEA. Thank you for all your work and talent that go into these books I appreciate you Susan Stoker!

I have to say these 3 books were only ok.
I am a huge Susan Stoker fan but these 3 stories were a bit of a let down and not good reads for me even though I forced myself to read them I was disapointed in the storylines, the characters lacked depth and really all i can think is Yuk and I really hate it when I dont like a book I dislike writing negative reviews but I always want honest reviews so there it is these 3 stories just were not for me.

Sweet and Touching Trio

This is a series is an interesting collection of reality TV stories. Without giving anything away, there are lots of plot twists and turns but strong alpha men make a challenge for independent, brave women. And love prevails in the end. Not as steamy as I expected based on Stoker’s other stories but this was probably some of her early work. Still a good read!

I loved this series and found it hard to put it down. You could feel for the heroine in each book. Lots of action and angst. Sam went through Eddie’s mean portrayal and Becky was tormented and made to feel worthless. Kina the camerawomen was so damaged but I loved her kick but attitude. Laughed, cried and would highly recommend this box set. And I thought Survivor was cut throat. Well done Ms. Stoker great mix of storytelling and heart. I read this using my KU subscription.

Great read

Really good set of books, probably quite accurately written. I've read a few books by this author and she writes about some pretty touchy subjects with great sensitivity and tact, incorporating them into a gripping storyline that has you engrossed from page one. Always a happy ending though, and that's the important bit, right?! 😆

Reality show inside

What an interesting series. When you watch reality shows you always think there may be more behind the scenes of what really happens. This series really makes you think about the twists and turns. I fell in love with these 3 couples. I highly recommend this series!

Reality Women

While books one and three are good stories, book two definitely is my favorite. I can honestly say I've never watched a reality t.v. show. They don't hold my interest. Questions I've always thought of are definitely answered throughout the stories. Sam and Kina are interesting women but Becky and her compassion totally steal the show ~

Amazing!

I don't know why I haven't read these 3 books earlier, omg. The reality show craziness was a brilliant setting for these stories. And yes bad things happen to the heroines, but they find their HEA. Thank you Susan Stoker.

Outback Hearts

What happens when you take two people, Alex and Sam, who get chosen for a reality show that they really don't want to be on? You get a great story with a couple that finds love amongst the most unreal circumstances. Susan completely nailed exactly how I've always envisioned a dating reality show to be behind the scenes. But she also showed how talented she is because she made me root for the couple. I completely got into it. I cheered Sam on as she was competing. I wanted to hug her when the cattiness was focused on her, when the evil director purposefully made her look bad. I wanted to cry with her when she had to leave Alex. They were falling in love and she had to go, knowing he would still be there with other women and he had to finish the show and choose one of them. Heartbreaking. How many women would be able to handle knowing that? Let alone seeing it when the show aired. Plus, they couldn't have any contact after she left. See, heartbreaking. But love always finds a way, right? Way to go, Alex! I love how Susan was able to weave this story together. How she made a reality show actually seem real. (You know what I'm saying, right?) I absolutely loved how comeuppance (awesome word) was given to the manipulator. I literally cheered at that. The twists and turns that were a part of this book kept me guessing about what would happen next. I wasn't sure how it would all play out and I loved not knowing.

Flaming Hearts

This premise was brilliant. Becky is picked to be a bachelorette on a dating show. What they didn't tell her, sneaky people, was that she's one of two bachelorettes. The men are vying for the attention of the woman they want, then the women get together and decide who stays. Sounds like a good set up, right? Well, it would be if the odds were evenly stacked. They basically have it so all the guys will want the other woman, leaving Becky to look like a fool on TV. The other woman (yes, I'm mentally using a different word for her) eats it up and makes Becky miserable.

Thankfully, Becky meets Dean. Dean's brother, Jonathan, is a cameraman on the show and feels so bad for Becky. He can see she's genuinely sweetheart and he hurts for her. As soon as Dean meets Becky he knows she's The One (family tradition), but of course, she is contracted to do the show. What would you do if the person of your dreams is right there in front of you, but you can't do anything about it for fear of legal repercussions? Do you say screw it and go after your happiness? Do you bide your time until you can openly persue them? Read the book and find out what Dean does. It's worth it. I'm warning you though, I had should've had some tissues handy. There's a part that made me ugly cry. That's my kind of book because you're emotionally invested in the characters.

Frozen Hearts

The show's creators have finally wised up. They've given up on the dating aspect of reality TV and have made this show more of an ultimate man competition. Kina is back as a camerawoman and she vows this is her last time. She's disgusted with how Sam and Becky were treated and can't handle working for the company anymore.

Jonathan, yes, he's back too, has been eyeing Kina, but didn't know right away that she was his One. The hard part will be convincing Kina. She's had some bad experiences in life and is hesitant to trust. I'm rooting for you Jonathan.

Can Jonathan convince her that he'll always be there for her? That she means everything to him? That he'd willingly die for her? Wait, what? Why would I ask that last question? Well read the book and find out. ;-)

I loved this series. I think it's a great, realistic look at what probably goes on behind the cameras of reality shows. You see that there are contestants that are sincerely good people looking for love and that others may have ulterior motives, including the people in charge. I highly recommend you buy this box set. They're great stories at a great price. Snap them up.

Beyond Reality

I absolutely adore Susan Stoker books. They are usually filled with extremely alpha males, strong women and action packed stories.

The Beyond Reality series was more soothing. It was still filled with alpha males, strong women and great stories. Sam, Becky and Kina are all very capable, but to end up being with your ONE has to make them and their men feel complete.

I love it!!!
