The first installment in an unforgettable six-book series that is sure to capture your attention and keep you guessing with every page turned…
Cheyenne O'Shea has everything a twenty-six-year-old living in 2010 could want. That is, until she finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and is catapulted into the past and a world fraught with danger. It is Kansas, 1868, and the US Army is about to wage war for control of the American West—and she is alone.
Faced with a world of violence and adversity that threatens her very life, Cheyenne finds an ally in a young army scout by the name of Bill Cody, a name she recognizes from history and a man she discovers is the key to her safety and survival. But what starts as dependency, soon turns to something else altogether, and Cheyenne finds her heart torn between the past and the future.
For the man who caused her exile did not come alone and once discovered, the price to send her home might be more than she is willing to pay as she is drawn into their ruthless plan to rewrite the history of the American West. If they are successful, will she even have a home to return to?
A spellbinding novel of time travel, set amidst the historical events of the western frontier, Running the Inside Timeline weaves a tale of forbidden romance, passion, action and intrigue.
The Dawn of Time Travel is a linear series and should be read in order.
Praise for Running the Inside Timeline:
"Extremely well written and gripping story. This is one of the few books I read for some time that was difficult to put down. Very imaginative story." -- Amazon Customer, 5-stars
"I love stories that blend history with fantasy, or in this case science fiction, and this is one of the best ones I’ve come across in years. It is historically accurate, beautifully described and full of twists. I read it in practically one sitting, because I just couldn’t stop turning the pages to see what happens next. Both Cheyenne and William are also fully fleshed out and real-seeming characters. If you like time travel, historical or fantasy books, I highly recommend you pick up this one!" -- AA Pearce, 5-stars
"I loved the fun of interacting with historical figures. The story brought them to life with personalities and situations for their time period. I really liked the pictures it painted of the old west. Wild Bill Hickock and Bill Cody never seemed real until this book." -- Gwen Johnson, 5-stars.
"This book was a very enjoyable read. I didn't want to stop once I had started it. I liked the time travel of past, with a glimpse of the future. The only thing I didn't like is that the next one isn't out yet!" -- good, 5-stars
3.5 stars. Somewhat interesting intro to a time travel series where, in this book, the female MC travels back to 1869 Kansas. While the story and writing are OK, the book just didn't click with me. I doubt I will read sequels.
I absolutely adore historical fiction novels and Sci-Fi! Combine it together, and I am a happy camper! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and the many different coinciding timelines! It was very interesting to see the concept of "The Green", the bots, and **spoiler ahead** the clones. Interesting to see the point of view from the Native Americans side of view. Makes you wonder what our world would be like if inhumaties like slavery and genocide of races, never occured. Although I must note the treatment of the women in this book. They have no problem in those days I see, with physically manhandling and abusing women!!!!!!! All in all, very enjoyable read! Looking forward to Book 2!
