A Practical Guide to Assessment for School Leaders, is an easy-to-read guide for those wishing to encourage teachers to change their practice to included assessment for learning. Overall, I found several of the concepts very interesting. I have always tried to create independent student learners and I have had varying success. My personal takeaways are: learning conversations, wall expectations, and ensuring the students are aware of the learning task and learning intent. The downside to this book is the ability to reproduce the documents. The book is not a standard size and some of the more interesting items are not featured in tables and would take time to recreate.
