Vladimir Konstantinovich Bukovsky was a Soviet and Russian human rights activist and writer. From the late 1950s to the mid-1970s, he was a prominent figure in the Soviet dissident movement, well known at home and abroad.
A must-read for the ones who appreciate critical thinking and wish for an honest account of the late history of the USSR and of its relationship with the “free world”. Whatever your political views are, this is a great book because it encourages the reader to pursue the truth, without taking for granted everything we are told/taught. Vladimir Bukovsky definitely deserves a much higher recognition than the one he has.
