My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, and no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I have bought this book because I loved it, and I own most of Zoe’s books!
The cover is matches with the rest of the series perfectly!
This is the 4th book in the series! It is for adults only due to the romantic steamy scenes! I highly recommend reading this series in order because you get the know all the characters, the world, and the storyline much better, and it is so much more together than in disjointed pieces. Please be aware this book does have a woman being held prisoner if you are sensitive.
This is Braeden’s story. He is the Fire Dragon that the element has claimed as master. He has more than redeemed himself for his past naivety and is amazing in his own right. He is working on his mission set forth by the Chimera when he stumbles upon his mate who is a prisoner. They have a rocky start because Alyx doesn’t trust him, but I don’t blame her. They have an adventure together where they find love. This book was action-packed from the start, and it was a page-turner that I couldn’t put down. Zoe Chant is amazing at getting the perfect mix of romance, action, treachery, and more. I always know I will enjoy her books, so they are my go to if I hit a rut.
I highly recommend to any shifter fan who loves HEA ending because Zoe rocks at them! I can’t wait for more books especially in this series for a certain mysterious Griffin shifter!

I received a free copy and I voluntarily leave my honest review.
Book four focuses on Alyx and Braeden and while it was ok, I just couldn't get into like I did with the previous couple of books. I do recommend that you pick up the other books in the series as its beneficial to have the back history.
I think it was Alyx that I just couldn't like all that much, she came across a bit self centred and a tad annoying for me. I think the reason she was kidnapped for got brushed under the rug with no real satisfactory explanation or resolution, surely she wasn't the only one?
Braeden was ok and as the elemental Fire Dragon had a big weight on his shoulders to eliminate the threat from the other Fire Dragon's lead by Steele, who had a little "extra" to him.
We got to have glimpses of the Chimera in this one and more of an explanation of what he is which I liked, I wonder if he will get his own book?
The previous characters are mentioned and we get to see a little from them.
Overall an ok addition to the series.

The Dragon world was threatened by war, and a beautiful, smart and curvy fashionista columnist found herself caught in the crossfire. Alyx Chen was being held captive by the fire dragons who'd started the war.
She was duped by an innocent face. She also was playing maid to a shifter by the name of Zena. The latter allied herself with the hostile dragons out of . Alyx tried escaping and when she finally did, she found herself running straight into the arms of another Dragon. Even though he was sexy as sin, she wondered if she trust him to save her.
Braden , the elemntal fire dragon was sent undercover by the council into the lair of the hostile dragons to put a stop to their leader, Steele. What he found was a wonderful and unexpected surprise....his mate.
He knew the beautiful and fierce woman was his, the moment he laid his eyes on her. He knew she didn't had no long lost love for dragons but what was he to do when he and his dragon wanted to claim her as their right away.
Steele was experimenting on the humans he'd kidnapped. When Braden and Axyl found themselves with nowhere of escaping they turned to the firebird Lady Zena for help. She betrayed them that didn't stop them from escaping.
Axyl found out that she was his mate and she couldn't be happier. They faced some obstacles before their got their HEA and no matter what they had each other's backs.
I've enjoyed catching up with previous characters and meeting new ones. Giving the enemy what was coming to him was well done. Liked all the twists and turns in this story.
MATED TO THE FIRE DRAGON is the fourth standalone paranormal novel in Zoe Chant's ELEMENTAL MATES series. It was intriguing, engrossing and a wonderful read. Fantastic job by the author! 5++++

Alyx was a captive of the fire Dragons and their leader Steele. At first they had tied her to a table and forced her to swallow potions that made her sick and burned inside her, after 2weeks it stopped. Whatever they were trying didn't work. Lucky for her The Firebird, who liked to be called Lady Zena, used her as a maid, somehow she needed to escape. Zena was summoned leaving Alyx in her room. The guard forgot to lock the door. Now was her chance. Bearden sat watching, sure he'd found the back entrance to the fire Dragon lair, 3 dragons leave, now be knows how to get in. When it grew dark he found his way in and started down a long corridor. He could sense below a group of fire dragons, and something else. Hearing someone approach he hid and cloaked himself with fire, they stopped nearby and shifter to human then he heard another approach from the exit who shifted too. The passage wasn't wide enough for dragons to pass. They were talking saying that the human had escaped and couldn't be found, she wouldn't be up here, as would need wings to get up here, boss was very angry. After they left Braeden knew he needed to find her first and get her out of there, if he didn't .....

Very good read but I would suggest reading the previous books to get a better understanding of this story.
Braeden with his complicated past gets his tale and saves his mate Alyx, who was being held prisoner. I wonder what they were trying to do with all those potions.
Once again in the next tale we get an interesting story and battle to save the world from the fire dragons.
Braeden goes from prisoner to becoming the new Master of Fire but the enemy Steele has something else working with him.
Cannot wait to see what happens with Jared and this new symbol. I am hoping a certain friend is his mate.

Alyx learned the hard way that dragons exist and they haven't left a good impression. Braeden was labeled a traitor to his kind, but he is determined to do the right thing. They must save each other. Will Alyx accept that not all shifters are evil? Will Braeden be able to overcome what is stacked against him?
Loved seeing Braeden get his happy ever after! I have loved Braeden's character since I first read about him, but seeing him with a mate just proved what a good guy he was. I loved how strong Alyx was and how she was determined to do what she could to help. Great read!

This series gets more and more exciting with each book. Each unique elemental dragon and his fated mate bring a new depth to the story that has so many layers. You most certainly can read each as a standalone, but it’s a much richer experience if you start at the beginning. You can follow Braedon’s development as a character and truly appreciate who he is now. His mate Alyx is just amazing when you think of what she’s been through and how right they are for each other. And the passion? As hot as the fire dragon. They positively sizzle! Highly recommended.

This was such a good book! I cant wait to read the next book, im guessing it will be Jared the gryphon shifters story. This book is not a stand alone so if you're considering reading it, you really need to read the three that came before it. They're all really good books in this series! Lots of action, smokin hot shifters, supernatural awesomeness, & hot sexy times! You should definitely read them all! When you do, im pretty sure you'll be just as excited for the next book as i am!

Fights
The fight between fire and darkness was awesome. Yeah Alyx with the assist. Im wondering if they find a place to live if the other fore dragons change their ways you know what happens to the firebird. So many unanswered questions under the fire category. Also, im hoping the griffin final finds out where he came from and why he was abandoned in his book. Plus, i want to know what that symbol on the plinth and his neckless means. Zoe, 1st time that i thought 1 of your books dwas actually a cliffhanger yes i got my HEA but there are so too many ?s

The perfect redemption story
Brendan has been a very backfires dragon, but after being captured btw the other elemental dragons and shown the error of his ways by their human mates, he sets out to redeem himself and finds his mate along the way.
A wonderful story for the last element, or is he? The end of the story, definitely leaves room for another couple of books, which might include some characters we met in this story.
As always, looking eagerly for the next book

Loved it, Steele may have been defeated but that shadow of darkness os still lurking around, but as the prophecy says five will defeat this new found enemy. Which now come to Jared finding his mate to come into his owe power so that the elements of Earth, Ocean, Storm, and Fire can finally put an end the this new found evil of darkness...looking forward to the Griffen story..big fan Winzie19.

A wonderfully engaging series!
Braeden and Alex are the fiery stars of the 4th book in the series. I was sooo hoping Braeden would get his story soon after he showed up in the 3rd book. I love love love how in Zoe’s books the story is “complete” for the lead characters... but the underlying challenge of the series is a little clearer and there is yet another character or two to fall in love with. Highly recommend!

I thought this was a stand alone, so I read out of order (it's #4 in the series). But I enjoyed it so much I have ordered the first book. It was really well done. The characters were great. I love a strong female MC, and this one was very strong without being abrasive. The male MC was strong but sweet. The storyline was interesting. If you like dragon shifters you will really like this book. But just be known it is one of a series.

Different
This one was much different than the rest. This mating bond seems much stronger than the others. I did expect something more to be said about the Firebird. I don't know why she was the. I did find it strange that Alyx was kidnapped and then she was saved by at no time was there anything mentioned about her being missing. Having said all that I liked Braedan (?) because he was so different than than the others. No hoard of home.

Getting to know Braeden in he's made in this book was great. You didn't know what to expect once he broke off from his original crew.
Braeden brought the heat and this book was fabulous. Alex Is the perfect mate for him. She will bring her own special light in order to save her mate.
I will admit I would like to know what happened to the rest of the fire dragons living beneath the earth.

I've liked Braeden since he was first captured by the other elemental dragons. Watching him rise to hisctrue capacity since he was captured has been amazing. I was soo very excited for his story and it did not disappoint. Alyx was perfect for him! I can't wait to catch up with these characters again!

Brendan and Alyx
The fire Dragon goes to defeat an evil fire Dragon and finds his mate being held captive. Brendan comes into his alpha powers and is allowed to sit on the council as the fire element. He and Alyx together defeat Steele and the dark element that controls him. He and Alyx have a lot to do they decide at their celebration.

Another Great Hit

Breaden and alyx
The fire Dragon finds his mate looks like Jared has lots of mystery to his story in the last book.
Oh isn't there 5 elements they forgot spirt. (Unless that's the shifter his spirt is one with his giffin) I wonder if Lena the firebird is his mother? Maybe they hold her people over her? We never got to the end of her story?

Wow, exciting!!!
I loved Braeden and Alyx's story. From kidnapping to rescue to love then fear, anger and battle! This book has tons of excitement and drama. Who is the fifth element? I can hardly wait to find out!

Question is in the title. Answer should be yes. I do hope we find out about Jared history and if he's the next . Don't. Forget about that fire lady .what was she really about .pls don't leave me hanging. Love this book as much as the others.

Couldn't put it down until finished so it's a well deserved five stars and I would recommend this book to everyone and can't wait to read more in this series loved the characters and the storyline
