Picked this up at Five Below for $5 because I’ve been interested in exploring more of witchcraft and Wicca, and thought learning about crystal might help. Also I’m a writer myself and figured I could get something out of this for my fantasy books.

However the connection between crystal healing and use of chakras was a little bothersome seeing ad chakra healing and beliefs belong to cultures and practices in India which I do not feel comfortable using in any practices I might want to try.

The descriptions of each crystal were formatted strangely in the book, making at times difficult to read. They also became quite repetitive and found myself enjoying the notes section more than the magic section.

I wish that there had been a little bit more history around the crystals and their uses before explaining their modern uses.

But it was easy and quick to read. But I recommend skimming it for specific crystal, not reading it cover to cover. Unless you want to bore yourself to tears.

3,5 ⭐️ i’m completely new to crystals, so in my opinion, is this book very good for the basics! it covers a good amount of stones, however the information about the stones is very brief. when i google a stone i find more interesting information than while reading this book.

Kind of boring more for a referencing book. Very basic format that's very repetitive. It's very chakra based which I honestly expected. Definitely wish I opened the book and looked before buying. I think there are books that will give you the same information, if not more, in a better way. Probably will donate or sell. Looked like a slideshow and entire pages of just rocks. Photography is beautiful though.

This book was a great intro to crystals! The beginning offers great information about what crystals are, how they work, how to pick them, and what to do with them. The rest of the book gives short informative paragraphs about each crystal. There’s over 65 crystals covered in the book, so it is great to get basic knowledge about lots of crystals. This book doesn’t go super in depth, but all the information is solid & helpful for a beginner.

Interessant boek over kristallen!
