Because Forever is book two in The Avenue series by B. Cranford. This is a friends to lovers romance that can be read as a stand alone although each book in this series features one of the Andrews siblings and they do recur in each other’s books. And trust me when I say that you don’t want to miss any of their stories.
In the first book in this series, I completely fell in love with Ashton, the only girl and the middle child of the Andrews siblings, and Andrew Duncan. Now it’s Austin, the youngest of the three’s turn.
Austin Andrews and Odette (Odie) Peterson have been best friends for twenty five years. If you read the previous book in the series, you already know that ‘something’ happened between them that has caused a break in their friendship. That whatever Austin did, Odie is not forgiving him. It’s been weeks and Austin can’t take it anymore. He wants and needs his friend back. And when his chance finally comes, he’s ready to do whatever it takes to win her back. Only things go better than he could have ever imagined.
Odie is in her thirties and is tired of being alone. She wants to meet her forever guy. She wants the fairy tale. She has always had a crush on her best friend, Austin. But she never thought that he thought of her in any other way than one of the guys. Until she finally let him come over to talk things out and he said the words she never thought she’d hear him say.
I loved this book. Odie and Austin were so perfect together. But I have to say that I am pretty much in love with Austin. He is goofy and swoony and just adorable. He’s got all the words, the sweet ones, and the dirty ones! Both Odie and Austin have loved each other most of their lives. But the time was just never right. They never let the other know. But when Austin finally went for it, he went all in.
I might have talked about this in the review of the first book but what I love most in this series is the closeness of these three siblings. They have an unbreakable bond. There was a moment later on in the book when they are all together that made my eyes water a bit. Not only do we get Odie and Austin’s journey in this book, but we get plenty of new developments with Ashton and Andrew, and some new developments with their oldest brother, Aaron, and his husband, Simon, which makes me so excited to read their story, the third book in the series, For Today.

Friends to lovers is paved with heat and snark…
I couldn’t wait to dive into Odie and Austin’ story after reading About Time, the first in this series. Stories with men and women who can have great conversations, laugh at themselves and each other, and argue and love their way through life? Yeah, sign me up, Forever!
I love a snarky good romance and this author delivers a great friends to lovers story with humour, heat and family blended together into a read in one-sitting story! Odie and Austin quickly became my new favourites (it seems each couple is getting a turn) as they boarded that crazy train called love for an emotion-filled ride that saw highs, lows and everything in between. Their friendship spanned decades (decades, people) and the courage for Odie to declare her more than friends wishes made me cheer! From there, were so many sweet moments and funny scenes (my texting never looks like that – though I wish it did!) that the misty moments caught me in the feels even harder…
Family, love ad real life made these characters feel not only genuine but familiar in a way that makes me wish they were as real as they felt. I’m so happy there are good friends waiting for their full story and I will be waiting with my kindle at the ready! ~Diane, 5 stars

COMING JULY 13
I am SO excited to be sharing Odie and Aussie's story with you. I love friends-to-lovers romance, but I always, always, always get hung up on one point. This one:
Okay, there are other points too, even though I LOVE the trope, so I decided to write a friends-to-lovers story that went the way *I* wanted it to. That means real problems, but no forced drama (I hope), funny moments and poignant ones, too (I also hope) and a continuation of the familial relationships first seen in About Time, because they were so damn fun to write. Which I hope you'll agree with.
TL;DR—I have a lot of hope and a book that's about two best friends who are navigating a changing relationship.

“If you’re looking for forever, why aren’t you looking at me?”
If you can read this book without falling for Austin Andrews, I think you accidentally got the wrong book. I was really excited when Because Forever hit my Kindle. But let me tell you, it far exceeded my expectations. I love this whole group, but Aussie is book boyfriend perfection, and he and Odie couldn’t be more perfect for one another. The love they share, even when times were tough (or was it especially when times were tough?) was so evident.
When About Time came out, I fell in love. I absolutely adored Ash and Dunk, and their story caused me to fall head over heels for this whole family. I don’t think I made it even halfway through their story when I started getting excited for Aussie and Odie’s story. The friendship they shared, and the tension that followed had me more than a little intrigued.
Meeting these characters and really getting to know them throughout this book was delightful. Aussie is a man who knows what he wants and goes for it. He may be forgetful, but one thing he is certain of is his love for Odie. I love the way he strives to be better for her. He wants to be the man she deserves and wants to prove that there is no other man for her. His wooing was perfection and had me swooning! The connection he already shared with Odie was so strong from years of being best friends that the transition to lovers was delicious.
Odie knew where she wanted her life to go, but she was a bit oblivious to what was right in front of her. I love that she stuck up for herself, but also learned how to let down her guard and work through problems along the way. She was smart and funny and loved with all she had. While she had some insecurities, she grew throughout the story, and I loved watching her learn to see Aussie in a new light and embrace the love they shared.
Cranford has this uncanny ability to create characters that are so real. Aussie and Odie weren’t perfect. They had their own fears and flaws and struggles, but their love was perfect. Perfect in its ability to overcome differences and perfect in its ability to learn from one another and compromise. I love that while these two had been best friends for years, they still had to learn how to love and be loved by one another in a new way when they decided to transition into a romantic relationship.
Reading this book brought all the feels. I laughed, I swooned, and my heart broke a little along the way. Not only did I love Aussie and Odie’s story, I absolutely adored seeing the other characters from this group. I love that they are so close and their stories are so intertwined. While you could read this story as a standalone, I definitely recommend reading About Time first. Not only do you meet Aussie and Odie there, it is a fantastic story that will cause you to fall in love with this whole group. I can’t wait to see what is yet to come with these characters!

If you're looking for a beautifully written friends to lovers story with all the feels that's both funny and hot as hell, you'll love Odie and Austin. The deep friendship and unconditional love they share combined with the kindle-melting chemistry will suck you in and won't let you go. It's a standalone but this entire series is a must read! I want to sit at the bar at The Avenue with all these amazing characters and be their friend. Only Beth can make you laugh, tear up, and overheat on the same page. That's talent that shouldn't be missed!

A sexy and sweet friends to lovers romance!
Austin and Odie are best friends who know each other inside and out. They have both been harbouring romantic feelings for each other for a while and then one day they realize the truth. Going from friends to lovers seemed natural for them rather than awkward. They knew each other so well and they already knew they were each other's forever.
This book had just enough sexy and there was a dry humor throughout the story that I really enjoyed. Aussie has a habit of being forgetful that led to some serious LOL moments. I loved that when he messed up, Odie made him work for her forgiveness. She loved him but she definitely was no pushover. Their chemistry was intense and they had some heartfelt emotional moments.
I also enjoyed the sibling love between Aussie and his brother and sister. They supported each other after being turned out by their parents and their love and loyalty to each other was really moving.
All in all, a sexy friends to lovers story that was fun to read.

“If you’re looking for Forever, why aren’t you looking at me?"
SOLD!! With each book B. Cranford releases, I say "This is my favorite." Taking this journey to watch her storytelling develop, you can't help but be charmed by this friends-to-lovers story.
Aussie and Odie dance the 'BFF' friend zone forever. Each one pining for the other - without the other having a clue. So what happens when a misunderstanding, leads to an apology and a kiss? True confession time. But how to go for an 'us' to an 'Us'? This is their journey that Ms Cranford takes us on.
As always, she gives us real characters in real life situations that you root for the HEA they deserve. If you've not picked up this author, now is the time. It's everything a romance reader loves: heart and soul of falling 'more' in love. 5 out of 5 because everyone deserves their forever stars.

What can I say about this book? Funny family banter—check. Witty lover banter—yep. A sweetly written story of learning to love and trust—definitely. I loved that the whole gang was in the story and their interactions. The authors characters are real, written with flaws the reader can identify with and the pages fly by.
Because Forever has it all—love, humor, anger, healing, and family.

her! Just when I think, "There is no way she can top her last book" she does with flying colors and characters.
This is book two in The Avenue series and it's Austin and Odette's story. We were introduced to them in About Time. I knew their story was gonna be special and it so is!
Austin and Odette's friendship has spanned decades. They know each other better than they know themselves.
From Austin's forgetful tendencies to Odette's fiery red-headed temper they just work. Their chemistry is amazeballs!
I loved Odette's take no prisoners attitude when it comes to moving their friendship into something more. Her explanation of what she wants, what she demands is fantastic. I so wish I had her smarts at that age!
From "cuddling lessons" to their hysterically funny texts, especially the text thread about awkward apology cards (that made me laugh out loud and almost shoot the tea I was drinking out of my nose!) You get a bit of everything in this story, wooing, love, humor and oh so swoony sexy times!
The true meaning of family is forefront in this book..."You don't have to be related to be family" Truer words have never been written. The Andrews' siblings and the people they love are the true meaning of family and B. writes so eloquently about them.
I have been a fan of B. since I started reading her reviews years ago. When she decided to write on her own, I knew this gal was going places! I will forever be a fangirl of the highest order. Ready with panda puns and breadsticks! You are a bright star B.! I can't wait to see what you write next!

This is the sweetest love story of Odette and Austin. Odie and Aussie have been best friends for 25 years. They deeply love each other but never have expressed their love, especially Aussie to Odie. He's always known. Since, I read the first one in this series, we were acquainted with Austin's sister Ashton and Andrews story, and we got a hint of Austin and Odie's relationship a bit. I wanted this story immediately. The author did their story justice. I love their inner dialogue of each other. Their deep connection, deep love and deep desire for their future.
The siblings relationship, banter, love and care of one another in this book, I love. These three love each other so much.
"If you're looking for forever, why aren't you looking at me?" This line right here.....I will always remember this one. Its quite simple but it says so much. Love this best friends to lovers book!!!

Odie and Aussie *swoon*
I fell in love with 'The Avenue' gang in About Time, and B. Cranford just gets better and better with each book.
Best friends to lovers is a hard trope to pull off, but she's nailed it.
I swooned and fell in love from page one.
If you're looking for a book with banter, feels, and smoking hot chemistry, this book will more than fit the bill. MORE THAN.
If you haven't read book one, About Time, go grab it now and get ready for the next installment, because I promise you will want to read them all.

As soon as I started this I was already falling in love with both these characters! Odie and Austin have been best friends since they were 7 or 8, but sometimes you cant see that what you're looking for is right in front of you.
I love these guys and their banter, Odie is a lady that knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it (demand it), she can also point out when its not forthcoming. She is fierce and strong whilst keeping her soft centre, willing to admit that sometimes she makes mistakes too.
Austin is adorable, he finally makes his feelings clear and isn't shy about voicing them at last and trying to convince Odie that he is her forever.
This book has all the feels, I love the candour between the main characters, I also adore all the secondary characters. Finn has already stolen my heart and I look forward to spending more time with this family!

At times poignant and at others punny, B. Cranford has once again nailed it. With her signature wit and her combo of hot and sweet this book is perfection. Friends to lovers done in the best possible way with snafus and cuddling, pastries and a happy ending. Odie and Aussie will have you grinning and tearing up and this whole family will steal your heart.

One of the best lines ever in a book, “If you’re looking for Forever, why aren’t you looking at me”? That line got me hook, line and sinker. I already liked this book but it was only chapter 3 and I knew I was now in love with this book. I literally swooned and fell head over heels in love with Aussie. Do not pass go, do not collect $200 go directly to him! All that being said it seems Aussie has some issues that need to be rectified before totally handing your heart over to him. Odie has to decide if he is capable of changing some of his ways.
This is such a beautiful story told in a realistic way. Of course this is a fictional story but the issues that face Aussie and his family are extremely current. So it is very believable.
The book doesn’t have drama in the sense of crime or suspense in that vein. It does possess everyday drama of the heart. It will capture your heart and soul. You’ll be rooting for all the main characters.You will laugh, tear up, swoon, shake your head, possibly utter the words, “Not again”, smile, and sigh when the author brings the heat. The secondary characters are far from secondary. They all play vital roles in the story. I’m hoping there are more books on this family. I really enjoyed this book. Kudos to the author. I definitely will be looking to read more of her work!!

Just when i don’t think it can get any better this author writes her next book and once again I’m saying this is the best to date !!! If you love friends to lovers you won’t want to miss this story.

Aussie and Odie! A friends to lovers’ romance that proves real love can handle real life. This was a beautifully written story with all the emotions and thankfully little drama. The second book about the Andrew’s siblings is Austin’s story. He and Odette have known each other forever, but friendship is not what she wants. When Odette announces her intentions to date Meatball McGee, Austin throws his hat in the ring. And since Odette is not only a bartender, but a kick ass boxer, she is ready for the challenge. The banter between these two is endearing and proves how strongly they each feel. Ash, Dunk, Aaron and Simon are along for the ride. We also get some Aaron and Simon love and hopefully see more of their story next. This could be read as a standalone; however, you’ll enjoy it even more after reading the first book, About Time. Enjoy!

A best friends to lovers story that really hits all the marks.
Aussie and Odie have been the best of friends since grade school. When their relationship seems to be heating up to a new level, Odie is afraid that Austin is not really boyfriend material and maybe she is right.

Because Forever is a quiet story with a fairly relaxed pace. It is packed with fun banter and humor that keeps the story entertaining. And the chemistry and romance will keep you swooning.
“If I’m going to risk this, I’m only going to risk it for a chance at forever.”
The Avenue series has been the first books that I’ve read by this author and I’m completely in love with these characters. I’ve loved getting to know them all and now I just can’t wait for Aaron’s story!

This was just what I needed! I immediately dove straight into Because Forever after reading About Time. I found myself falling so hard for the Andrews siblings. Aaron, Ashton and Austin are everything!
I was dying to know more about Aussie and Odie. Everytime they're together their chemistry just melts off the pages.
These two have been friends for 25 years. Odette is wanting something real, a future. A forever. She feels as if Austin will forever see her as just a friend. As one of the "boys"
Austin knows there's only ever been one for him. His Odette. His Odie.
Things certainly aren't always easy between these two. There's so much push and pull, misunderstandings and tension but I love these two sooooo much.
I was especially happy to get more of Ashton and Andrew and A & S!!

Charming Friends to Lovers Romance
Book 2 in The Avenue Series.
This is a charming, sweet, friends to lovers romance with great characters. You will fall in love with the main characters, Aussie and Odie because, well, they are just so ‘normal’. There is such great chemistry between them you wonder how they’ve managed to stay just friends for so long.
The secondary characters also grab your attention, they are interesting, funny and often irreverent, but in a good way. I especially loved Aussie’s brother Aaron.
As someone who is very forgetful, I related totally to Aussie’s forgetfulness and could understand how upset he felt when he let people down because of it.
Sometimes you just want to read a book that has great characters, fun dialogue and a good storyline, without death, destruction and mayhem, this book fits the bill perfectly. I loved it and can’t wait to read About Time, book 1 in the series.

Because Forever is a sweet and simple friends to lovers romance. I really liked the innocent and easy growth of Aussie and Odie’s relationship. Their time together is fun and sexy. Their issues not too complicated but needed to work through nonetheless. The writing is charming and getting to revisit The Avenue and all the fun characters is extra special. I can’t wait for the next installment of the series.

Because Forever by B. Cranford is such a sweet and lovely read. It's based on the story of Austin Andrews and Odette Patterson, the best of friends who find love in each other.
This novel is so sweet, I could eat it like chocolate. Of course there are a few tense moments in the story, but without that, you would not be able to see the characters develop into stronger people.
I loved the characters so much. Austin; my forgettable sweet, and Odette, the tiny fiery redhead. There were a few moments where I wanted to bang their heads together, but other than that, the characters were completely adorable!
Because Forever was such a sweet and wonderful story, and I just simply loved Austin and Odette together! Plain and simple, I loved the novel completely!
I can't wait for the next book! Bring it on!

Friends to lovers is my hands down favorite kind of book. Because Forever just moved into the top spot for this trope.
Aussie and Odie have been best friends for 25 years. Because of the length of their friendship and the epic fight they have at the very beginning about Odie being smarter than the guy she plans to go on a date with, I expected this book to have all the angst. I absolutely loved that the angst that was in this story had absolutely nothing to do with Aussie and Odie's relationship. There's a reason they have a friendship that has lasted as long as it has: they are perfection together. They're funny, they're connected, and they are adults. When they fight, they talk it out. The Andrews family and everyone around them are THE BEST. I want to schedule a permanent vacation to The Avenue!!!

Best friends since childhood to lovers books are my catnip and Because Forever absolutely perfect. Odie & Aussie were the answer to the question that each was afraid to ask. This is simply swoony love story 25 years in the making. Full of delightful humor and heart-stealing moments, Because Forever MUST be on your TBR today.

It was so great catching up with this family again. The three Andrews siblings are something special. Having wiped their hands from their parents years ago, it is great to see that they all remain true to themselves as the years have followed.
This story is about the youngest Andrews sibling. Austin has loved his best friend Odette for what feels like forever. When she tells him she has a date, he can't hold back any longer and he tells her how he feels.
I liked how these two went about changing their relationship from friends to lovers. Odette wanted to be wooed - and boy did Austin achieve that!!
Austin is funny at times but also very frustrating. His forgetfulness is a bone of contention for Odette. But thankfully this doesn't end up by being a make or break for the couple, and they work through any problems that comes up.
Absolutely loved this book, and hopefully there will be more in the series.

DNF-ed.
This book was just laid out very weird to me. It almost immediately jumped into the relationship part without any drama or really any story being told first. It just seemed weird and beyond rushed to me. I quickly decided that this book was not for me. I need more story first!

I cannot recommend this book enough! Beth does friends-to-lovers in a story filled with so much humor, warmth, reality, and gorgeous true-to-life relationships. Two best friends, a passionate love, an electric, snarky chemistry, and a family that loves and supports each other. Just.....FEELINGS.

B. Cranford's Because Forever gave me ALL the feels. You meet Aussie and Odie in About Time and the way their characters are developed in Because Forever makes my heart ache. You laugh with them, cry with them and I even felt the anger and curiosity. The fear of losing their best friends if a relationship doesn't work and the hope for a forever if they take their chance!
Because Forever has all the feels and at the end of the book I sighed. I wanted more Aussie and Odie, but the book was perfect the way it was. Thank you B. Cranford for yet another AMAZING read!

This was a heart warming story about finding your soulmate - even if that person has been right in front of you the whole time. Odette and Austin have been best friends for years and have seen each other going through heartbreak as well as triumph, but it is not until an argument that almost ends their friendship that the underlying thoughts and feelings come to the surface. But can you risk a friendship just to see if the feelings are true and honest? Or do you close the door on your HEA in order to remain friends? This book was a beautiful story that took the reader on an emotional journey. The characters were strong and the plot was fabulous. I could not flip the pages fast enough. I absolutely recommend this book!!
