I purchased a copy of the 5 historical clean romance boxset of short stories called Mail Order Bride Western Romance: A Time to Love Complete Boxset by terri Grace and this review was given freely. A faith filled story comprised of five segments including four sisters and their mother who move to Idaho and become brides in order to escape being unpaid servants to their vindictive wealthy New York grandparents. Each piece can be read separately as they recap the prior one. Best if read in sequence. Each segment ends as the couple confesses their feelings or agree to marry. Contains a heavy portion of violence such as alcoholism, adultery, spousal abuse, mental abuse, whipping, starvation, abortion and enslavement.
18+ recommended for violence.

A Time To Plant:
Rachel Freiser must take her family of 4 adult daughters from Wyoming to act as unpaid servants to her In-Law's in New York after her alcoholic, gambling, adulterous and abusive husband is killed leaving them penniless. Honora travels to Idaho with fresh hope to marry Rancher and single father Richard Bland after his adulterous wife dies trying to give herself an abortion.

A Time To Build:
Lunar Freiser agrees to become a mail order bride to Richard's cousin Francis after Richard gifts him with an 80 acre ranch. However, on seeing Francis, flash back to her violent father halt the engagement.

A Time To Find:
With a history of mixed races, slavery and violence in his past, Sheriff Humphreys leaves Archer's Point hoping to rescue Jade Freiser from the escalating violence at her grandparents estate but also to find love.

A Time To Heal:
Archer's point resident Charles learns he must marry within the year to inherit resulting in him seeking out the last Freiser sister Amber, only to find that her grandfather is selling Amber off to marry one of his equally cruel friends.
Heavily violent with continued whipping.

A Time To Dance:
A precocious child brings her grandfather and Rachel Freiser together completing the circle of happily married Freiser women and closure for them regarding the New York Freisers.

A perfect late night read

A quick short story about a daughter and mother and vicious grandparents. The grandmother and grandfather to Amber have hostility towards her mother and torture the mother. Three older sisters want their mother and sister with them out west. I the last born son of a family in the west hast to find a pride. Read this short story to see how Charles wrangles up the bride.

Great story.......

I found the series of stories about a mother and her four daughters to be a fun and interesting series of stories. The author has done a wonderful job of telling the tale of their fate. Romance and suspense is only a small part of the journey to happiness lived by the five women.

Good

A good rescue from 'hell' story. Encouraging us to hope when all hope seems lost, and to remind us we still have a responsibility to work at our relationships. Short but helpful.

Very good reading.

I loved how this picked up in the series and you get a chance to find out a little more about why the girls mother fell in love with their dad before he changed for worse. Hard to put down.

Excellent

This continues to be an ongoing sweet sweet story that you will not want to miss. Reading it out of sequence will destroy part of the joy of the .mystery of watching God's hand at work, though he sure you start with book 1 and follow through.

Good book

The story was good but I believe too short. Needed more body to it. Maybe show how they were in a little more time.
