Eric Nash has something to prove as he returns to baseball after recovering from an injury. He starts the season ready to play, and his reputation as the hottest catcher coming through the farm teams keeps other teams interested. He just has to stay focused and keep his head down.
Cal Johnson has plenty to keep him a sister with a crumbling marriage, successful coffee shop, and plans for expansion. He welcomes chaos into his life as long as it doesn’t come with romance. He tried it once and that was enough.
When the two of them continue to cross paths, it feels like fate pushing them together. Will a passionate summer fling distract them from the pressure, or will desire turn to love?

Eric Nash stood outside of the Yakety Yak Coffee Shop, the doo wop music could be heard for blocks. The 50’s theme continued to the inside. Eric fumbled his way through ordering a ‘high octane’ cup of coffee. He had an interview with a local radio reporter. Angie was sitting at a table waiting for him to notice her and waved him over. Eric was a hot shot catcher for a minor league baseball team, and recovering from an injury. As the owner of the shop, Cal Johnson slid more coffee on the table for his sister and Eric as they were finishing up the pre interview questions. Angie didn’t pull punches. Call and Eric kept running into each other at functions related to the ball club and radio station. Their relationship was growing quickly. But as Eric’s injury heals and his playing improves the trade up to a Savanah team is back on the table. Can Cal and Eric make a long distance relationship work? This story has several layers in it, that all work towards an HEA for everyone
