My Conclusion: This was the first anthology I made an effort to read fully and it was a great experience! Though there were some misses there were many hits. There were a few discrepancies within the basic characters that were part of all the stories but I can let that pass. I'll definitely be checking out Monster Ball 2 when I get the chance!
_______________________
As I go through the stories I'll rate and review them. Be warned there may be quite a few DNF and those won't get a rating. P.S. Getting through this novel will probably take a while so please bear with me!

1. Enemies & Lovers By Nikki Jefford - DNF for now 2 Stars
Started: Oct. 26 2019
Ended: Nov. 8 2019

This will probably end up as a DNF. The beginning was interesting but got confusing as the story moved along. The mixing present with future didn't do anything for me except pull me out of what started out as an interesting story. I'm currently halfway through it and debating whether or not to finish it considering the raving reviews this story has. We'll see!

Update: Did I read the same story as everyone else? I was lead to believe that the ending was going to be an amazing experience and yet THAT'S what I got? No thank you. This story started off decent but went into a whole other direction that I would rather not have gone through. At least it's a happy ending. I'll have to be content with that.

2. The Red Huntress By Stacey Marie Brown - DNF

I gave this a shot with the first chapter and it didn't captivate me. I wish I knew why but I can't explain it. This is my first DNF of this anthology!

3. Kiss Of Death By Heather Hildenbrand - 1 Star
Started: Dec. 8 2019
Ended: Dec. 8 2019

This story felt like the first 10% of a full novel in a very bad way. I was proven right by the end because there is some sort of continuance to this story in the author newsletter in the format of a choose-your-own-adventure type thing. This was just a basic set up for what's to come. There was no character development and the main hero isn't even named. The story was more frustrating than enjoyable. This one just wasn't for me especially with how I've learned to expect paranormal romance stories out of the anthology due to the other stories. This one just didn't play ball with all the others.

4. Isle Of Darkness By Randi Cooley Wilson - 4 Stars
Started: Nov. 12 2019
Ended: Nov. 17 2019

I really enjoyed this story! It was exactly what I was looking for when I picked up this anthology: a twist on a classic paranormal romance trope. The way it ended seemed to indicate that there would be a follow-up book/series. That would be amazing if it becomes a reality! Even though the story was fast-paced the characters were developed and witty!

5. Pucker Up By J. L. Weil - 3 Stars
Started: Nov. 24 2019
Ended: Nov. 24 2019

This story almost got a DNF from me in chapter one. The main character came off as a villain and that's not something I like and want to see in this anthology. I did get through it though. It wasn't as bad as I was anticipating it being but it didn't pull me in. Even after getting to know Alexis better she never grew on me. I didn't find her captivating enough considering the supernatural creature she was. She was supposed to be this bad*ss and proved herself to be really dense because fell into situations she should know to avoid considering who she is. The writing, on the other hand, was fantastic! Everything flowed very well into the next event and the pacing was next level. It didn't feel rushed in the least!

6. Secret Demons By Raye Wagner - DNF

The first chapter didn't pull me in and I don't care enough to push through it. This anthology has had a few misses by this point for me so it's made me weary with the stories I have left.

7. Chameleon By Jane Washington - 3 and a half stars
Started: Dec. 21
Ended: Dec. 21

This was such an interesting story! Isa was sassy and fun while Torstein was mischievous and mysterious. They made such a cute couple! I'm curious about what happens next for them with what Isa seems to be battling with. This is yet again one of those stories that I hope has a full book to accompany it!

8. Black Orchids By Jennifer Snyder - 3 Stars
Started: Dec. 3 2019
Ended: Dec. 5 2019

This was a cute story but I wanted more background on the creature featured in this story and how they live and whatnot. When things were finally moving along the story rushed its ending. The side character (the BFF) was a great part of the story. I would love to get a full-length novel featuring a character from this novella in the future.

9. She-Wolf By Alyssa Rose Ivy - 4 Stars
Started: Nov. 11 2019
Ended: Nov. 11 2019

This story is what I want all the stories in this anthology to be like! It's a twist on the classic paranormal romance genre and I'm here for it. The heroine was awesome! I loved how she was the introverted "black sheep" of the family who finally stood up for herself. The hero had a great sense of humor and helped the story move along at a fast and steady pace. As for the twins I'm rather partial to see them burning in h*ll sooner rather than later.

10. Tiaras And Fangs By Desni Dantone - 5 Stars
Started: Dec. 14 2019
Ended: Dec. 15 2019

This was the best story I read in the anthology so far! It was paranormal romance at its finest! I'm glad I finally got to it! The main characters had very distinct personalities and their interactions were very entertaining to watch. There was quite a bit of backstory given to its characters, which I appreciate very much. It made the story seem that much more thought out and planned. I loved where the story was going and I have my fingers crossed that there's a follow-up book to this one as well!

11. The Sun And The Moon By Melissa Haag - DNF

I read the first chapter and the main character is grinding on my nerves. This is getting a pass from me.

Just going to touch on the stories that really stood out to me.

Enemies and Lovers by Nikki Jefford - 4 Stars
I'll admit to being surprised by this one. I honestly thought it would go in a different direction than it did and it's not often that a book surprises me anymore. It's well written and leaves you wanting more. The ending just makes you want to grab Stolen Princess and get to reading. A well done short story. My favorites were the bartenders, just too funny.

The Red Huntress by Stacie Marie Brown - 5 Stars
This is my favorite of the two I've read so far! I love Grayson and Riley and want more of them! I wish these two could get their own series as their banter and hot chemistry was awesome! Another well written story that really got me hooked!

Kiss of Death - Heather Hildenbrand - 3 Stars
This story follows Gem and she's on a mission to steal a chip from a rich tech guy. It was more 'actiony' than the rest so far. Gem takes no crap from anyone and I really like that about her. We also get to meet a masked stranger that I would LOVE to know more about. It's well written but I just wanted more of the masked guy and less of the mission stuff.

Isle of Darkness - Randi Cooley Wilson - 5 Stars
I'm going to bet that this will be my favorite story of them all simply because I adore fake dating. I want the series for this book so bad! Waiting till April 2020 is going to kill me! I mean I just love the couple in this one and I can't wait for more of them! Everything about this story left me wanting more!

Pucker Up - J. L. Weil - 4 Stars
Alexis is freaking awesome! I want more of these characters!

Secret Demons - Raye Wagner - 2 Stars
Well written and had an interesting world but not my cup of tea.

Will we see you at the ball? 👹👻

I am so excited about the release of The Monster Ball Anthology. The first week is a blind release, so I can't tell you what my novella is about until October 31. I had so much fun with it, there's a follow-up full length novel coming out November 13: Stolen Princess. It is such a blast. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I had writing!

The Monster Ball Anthology is filled with five-star reads. I loved this concept, you know normally with an anthology there is just a concept running through, but this time even though they are all standalone stories they all tell the story of the Ball and you see people pop up and clues that you pick up on. It just makes it a much more compelling and thrilling read. There are always one or two stories in an anthology that aren’t as good, but this time they are all great, some better than others, but all five-star reads. I also loved how it’s a blind anthology, so part of the fun was recognising the writing and thinking oohh that’s one author, but then something else will make you think its another. I can only hope we get to hear from some of the characters, and could I possibly beg enough, for more balls? Maybe a Christmas or new year? Or even another Halloween? This was a sublime collection and has given me a new passion for reading anthologies again.

Full of a great mix of different creatures and personalities, there is a lot of excitement going on in these stories. So many new loves and so much danger. I can't wait to see more about which stories will be continued by the authors because I fell in love with a lot of them.

Overall a 3*
A few were alight and I wouldn't mind continuing on with some of the characters and some not so much.
I usually don't finish anthologies, they always seem like a good idea but they end up just being a tease. Not enough story to really get into. BUT I actually finished this one :)

Seriously, this is the best book-set/anthology I have ever read! This is an absolute MUST READ!

First of all, call me a dummy, but I didn’t think much of it being called “The Monster Ball”. I just figured it was going to be different stories by different authors about different supernatural characters like all anthologies are. It is soooo much more than that which was completely unexpected and absolutely surprised me!

While each novella does stand alone, they all intertwine and you see little “Easter eggs” of each of the other author’s stories in every tale. Each of the individual stories leads up to take you to this mysterious Monster Ball that is the most anticipated event of the year for supernatural beings. Not only that but each tale takes you on an amazing and steamy adventure that leaves you begging and drooling for more. You will know right away from the very first story that it is going to be an astonishing and amazing book set. Usually in an anthology, there are usually only two or three stories that I really enjoy, but every single one of these was absolutely fantastic, brilliantly organized, unique, and un-put-downable.

I really am begging for another “Monster Ball” set for next year and every year after that. I need more!!! More stories, more characters, more worlds, more Monster Balls!

Absolutely Amazing Anthology!!!

I cannot tell you enough times how reading each and everyone of these stories will be exciting and leave you wanting more and more until you either are so pissed off you want to smack someone or so turned on you want to screw someone.

Enemies and Lovers....

4 out of 5... Excellent story

This was a very exciting story once they got to the ball. Didn't truly like the beginning all too well because of the present and future happens all at the same time. But the excitement of the ball leaves me wanting more of the story..

The Red Huntress....

5 out of 5.... Thrilling ride

This was a very good passionate story and you could feel it flowing off the pages. It was very unexpected what was happening in the story, you could not help but love

Kiss of Death....

5 out of 5... Makes you go hmmm, somethings up

This little story of the ball is packed with mystery and will still keep you guessing at the end. There is something going on not only at the ball but back home too and it is going to keep you guessing and wanting more.

Isle of Darkness...

5 out of 5.... Interesting Turn

This story shows us that even when there is something that you don't want to do when your royalty, generally it means you have no choice. This story once again is filled will mystery while you are trying to figure out who is the bad guy. Then you know you will have to wait.

Love might start out not being what you wanted, but you seem to get a sense it is where it will end up.

Pucker Up...

5 out of 5.... Going to be interesting

Well this is a story that you will never see coming and will leave you saying WTF. Something goes down that just cannot be helped. Can't wait for.

Secret Demons.....

4 out of 5.... Different

Once they got to the ball things got very interesting. It was hard to keep my focus because of how long it took for them to get to the ball. I would have enjoyed more things from the ball, than before. I am interested to fine out more of the story than I expected.

Chameleon....

5 out of 5... Things are going to get interesting

The one thing I am learning is you never know what is going to happen at the ball and when. You recieve an invite, you will go whether you want to or not.

This is a very interesting game our characters are playing and I wonder if our damsel is going to get what she wants in the end. The Male is onto her and wants her anyway. Men I tell you. But what will happen to them in the end, we have to wait and see.

Black Orchids....

5 out of 5.... I truly want more

This was another story leaving you wanting more to the story. Maybe not more future, but more background story. I can't imagine having to go thru what Ivy had to be going thru all these years and it was interesting how Ren came into her life at the right time. Even so it was still an exciting story and gimmie some more.

She-Wolf....

5 out of 5... Completely unexpected and exciting.

This might be one of my favorites out of the group. You go into the ball thinking one thing and come out thinking another. I would hate to have my life dictated to me because it would not be fun. I want to mate with who I want when I want.

Tiaras and Fangs....

5 out of 5...Pure Excitement

You never know what you are going to get while you are reading these and this one was pure excitement. Going to a place and learning about yourself and meeting the love of you life you thought you lost. I seriously want more

The sun and the moon...

5 out of 5... Very Exciting

I have actually loved this stories where the girls have no clue about themselves and learn about themselves at the ball. This woman secret was amazing and I loved her creature. Finding true love at the ball is a favorite of mine also, but I so want more.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book
This is the best anthology I’ve ever read! I normally steer clear of anthologies because I’m not as fond of the novella type stories, or the fact that there is normally only a few good stories out of a whole book of them. That’s not the case with this anthology, they were all great stories. All left me wanting more. I have read books from most of these authors in the past & was excited to see how this would mesh together, especially after seeing all the build up for it’s release. I have to say, this was fantastic, the monster ball unified the anthology so the stories work together as one cohesive event for the most part, with 11 different/unique plots up to the main event (the Ball). These are all unique stories & characters. Each has the ball as their common ground. I’ve never read an anthology like this before, & I loved it! These authors & the coordinator/mastermind/brain behind it all (the fantastic, quirky, super talented, crazy woman that she is 😘- you know we love you Amber aka Bam), did a stellar job of getting these authors to write stories at the same ball! I hope this will become an annual tradition too.
*Enemies and Lovers
An awesome story, that had such a great ending. The main characters were intriguing & the story pulled me in. I’m interested to see the continuation story that sounds like it will have a bunch of twists & turns for the very likable heroine.
*Red Huntress
This was an amazing story, full of a love-hate charged attraction that is so steamy it’s riveting. Couldn’t put it down. The main characters are great. Also, the plot twists you don’t see coming were fantastic. This had an HEA as well.
*Kiss of Death
This story is not at all what I thought it would be. This story sort of has a twisted feel to it, with a hint of romance in a future continuation book. There is a cliff-hanger ending with a lot of unresolved things going on leaving me puzzled.
*Isle of Darkness
This story was unique, gargoyles aren’t written about very much in paranormal romances & that made it that much more interesting to read. These main characters are so misunderstood by each other & everyone else around them, so mysterious & compelling, making me wonder what will happen next at the cliff-hanger ending since this couple has a lot of hurdles to overcome.
*Pucker Up
Wow, another fantastic story in this anthology! This is an opposites attract story, with some twists, with the possibilities being endless for the continuation! Interesting plot that kept me guessing & wondering if the couple can get past their differences.
*Secret Demons
Fantastic story! This story has lots of potential for an on going series. There is a big cliff-hanger ending but the kind that makes you want the next book in a bad way. I was pulled into the story & intrigued by the main characters, Ariya & Jäg. I was left wanting to see where their story goes & also mad that I’ll have to wait for it to be published.
*Chameleon
This story has a hysterical snarky type of humor. The crazy back & forth between the main characters was really funny. It’s seems like a set up for a series, though it’s a mild type of cliff-hanger, leaving a reader wanting to read more to see where this couple is going to end up.
*Black Orchids
This was a great story, I really enjoyed it! The characters are very likable. It had an HEA (not a cliff-hanger) that was so sweet & I didn’t get the feeling that it would continue on in another book/series, although the author could head into a series starting with the heroine’s room-mate, Brielle.
*She-Wolf
Oh my gosh, this was a great story, it pulled me in, & kept me reading. I couldn’t put it down. Loved the main characters. Feel like there’s a set up for a series there too, I’ll be interested to see where the series goes.
*Tiaras and Fangs
This story was fantastic, it pulled me in & left me wanting to know what will happen next! It’s a bit of a cliff-hanger ending but this is a good cliffy, the kind when you want to read more about this couple. I look forward to the continuation of the story, as this sure seemed like a set up for at least one more book if not a series.
*The Sun and Moon
I don’t know how this author can get a novella to feel like a full blown book, but she does with this story. I loved this. The world building is excellent, the characters are great, and the story pulled me into it from the very beginning. I was hooked & totally invested into this story. I couldn’t put it down. This also had an HEA & didn’t feel like it would have a continuation.

Holy Moly what did I get myself into. The Monster Ball Has me obsessed with its shared story line and cast. Each story is just epic and very exciting. with 11 bestselling authors and us not knowing who wrote which this anthology came with the idea of intriguing its readers. Also it will keep you wanting more because some of the stories are prequels and will be extended which i love. The Monster Ball is a great way to spend your Halloween. i will edit my review on the 31st when i can review each story with out giving away anything. I Applaud Bam Shepherd for the idea.

Enemies and Lovers Jhaeros and Aerith are really neat I liked that he used to be infatuated with Aerith's sister but fell in love with her. I really enjoyes this story and read more about this couple boy what a cliffhanger.

The Red Huntress A rare hunter witch named Riley is gifted to destroy werewolves but things go topsy turvy when she meets Grayson Bloodstone King of the Werewolves, the man whom killed her parents he had a real good reason in my opinion, you could feel Riley's emotions flying off the page when she sees Grayson with great tension and energy it was electric , Red wants to kill him but thing turn out very different lol.

Kiss of Death Gem is really great and I really like Jax. Poor Gem diverged a little from the plan set but it still ended up with the way they wanted it to. She got the shotty end of the deal. but I need to know who the masked man is will it be Jax or Rodrigo or maybe someone else.

Isle of Darkness I really love Striker and Umbria so unique and interesting I really cant wait to read more.

Pucker Up Alexis' roommate Finn the Gargoyle was really awesome. I really love Alexis' sauciness and Breckin's way of handling her also what his kiss did to her was really well thought out Opposites Attract that's for Sure in this story

Secret Demons Jag is a very interesting character and I liked Ariya she is so tough and OMG that ending

Chameleon Isa aka Sparky lol is a person who can take others powers. this one is a little different in that it is a recounting of what happened to the main character and how she got to the Ball instead of being the night of but it was really good and well thought out. Care Bears underwear and tanktop I kinda laughed at that part and then what the Chameleon did next to get ready for the ball it was epic. also Torstein yummy this story was really funny and one of my favorites.

Black Orchid had me wanting to know more about Ivy and about the curse who, and why, put it on Ivy. I love Ren a lot and am glad he came into Ivys life and just the right time also.

Fangs and Tiaras OMG Luca and Savannah are so fantastic. I think they are one of my favorite couples in this anthology of great couples. I thought it was awesome seeing him gave her her memories but then to lose them after her shift what a cliffhanger I hope they see each other soon when the series comes out I need more Luca and Savvy I hope there isn't a angry female backstage though.

She wolf I need more Kat and Delman and I really Disliked the twins and what the did to Kat I hope if we get to see more of these characters they will be put in their place and feel exactly the way they made Kat feel I was crying my eyes out when I read the flashback.

The Sun and Moon I was really happy with this one just because of the Supes that were in the forfront A Vampire and Phoenix Shifter so epic. Joseline amd Lucas are so cute together I loved that she was his sun.

All in All The Monster Ball is a Ball that I want to visit many time and wished were real the characters and Supes and just each storyline were perfect and enjoyable to read.

I fell in love with these stories from the first words. They were brilliant and a perfect little taste of the talent of each author involved, and a fantastic melding of classic tales and mythical creatures we all love to read with a twist from each authors quirky mind. Each story showed just how imaginative these authors are and why we love them so much.

I was going to break down each story and give my brief thoughts on them, but I really don't want to give even the smallest details away. They were fun, heartwrenching, frightening, humorous, sometimes sexy, stories that had me hooked. Some could be read as stand alone stories while others had cliffhangers that made me want to read more from the authors. Either way, they were fun, sexy, a bit scary at times, and they each made me want more of the authors' imaginations.

And that ending...
I don't know who or what the proprietor of the ball is, but it was a magnificent and magical meshing of minds into an anthology worth re-reading. I look forward to what the proprietor has in store for us next time.

Magical, captivating and entertaining

This was my first anthology book. I absolutely loved each story! What makes this one special is you don’t know who wrote which story, a blind release. I totally loved that idea! It’s fun trying to guess who wrote what especially since I’ve read books from most of these authors in the past. I love how each story interconnects with the other but are in fact separate stories with different main characters. Every now and then you get a glimpse of a character from another story but for the most part the focus stays on the characters of that particular story. The book is magical and captivating and leaves you wanting more at the end each story. There are characters I absolutely loved, then there were the ones I wanted to bop upside the head or strangle. It was fun reading this book. I look forward to finding out if there will be more to the adventures, even though what happens at the ball stays at the ball. LOL.

Best Ball EVER!!

I'm not normally an anthology reader, in fact I have never read one in it's entirety. That is until now!! The Monster Ball is a completely immersive experience. Even though all the stories can stand alone I love they have interconnecting pieces. I have to add that I love the bartenders and would personally love to try all of their signature drinks. But I digress. There were some characters I loved, and some I wanted to slap, and some stories that left me dying for more.  All in all this was one fantastic adventure that I greatly enjoyed.

I also liked that it's a blind release because often time we tend to skip to the stories by the authors we know. So the fact that I got to read some authors that are new to me was an added bonus. I look forward to revisiting the Ball next year, please say y'all are doing this again, and want to know more about the character's stories. #2018MustReadAnthology

Best ball I've ever been to!

The Monster Ball anthology is phenomenal!!! All of the eleven amazingly talented authors each have their own story, but the stories all connect at the ball; it feels like it is the same Halloween night in the same enchanted castle and I have never read anything like it, it is fantastic. Each story is different from romances, adversaries, set ups, etc. And each paranormal character is also a different supernatural species, if you will, but again cross over in to the other stories. I'm hoping that most of the author's have a spin off planned, because I just need more. So excited to learn who wrote what! Tremendous job ladies!

I absolutely loved this anthology. It was a great way to introduce people to new authors. I know that I checked out some new ones after this. The Monster Ball was an amazing setting to allow characters to just be themselves and free. It definitely was a very sexy read but not trashy. I found myself reading whenever I could. I had more then a few omg moments. The characters and stories are fantastic. Each story is unique but they cross paths and meet some very interesting people. I feel like I need a book just about the bartenders! I hope we all get invited to the Monster Ball next year!

Best anthology I’ve ever read!!

The Monster Ball is definitely the best anthology that I’ve ever read - it’s a collection of totally unique stories by some of my favourite authors and each one left me wanting to see more from the characters. This is the perfect Halloween read for fantasy fiction fans with such a wide range of supernatural beings and though each story is individual I loved the tiny cross overs because all the stories happen on the same night at the prestigious Monster Ball. 5 stars from me - really hoping I get a ticket to next years Ball 😉❤️🎃🧛‍♂️

What a way to start this anthology! Super awesome stories! Elves, fairies, shifters, werewolves, Vampires, Phoenix, and Gargoyles??!! I mean this is the paranormal party you dont want to miss!!! So much action and hot steamy romance that leaves you breathless!!!Here is a preview
*Enemies and Lovers* Elf romance! We meet Aerith who is an elf who supports her family: father and two sisters. Shes’ a unafraid and excellent with bow and arrow. She doesn’t get along with her annoying middle sister Shalendra and her overbearing lazy father. Her younger sister Melarue is her only joy and love and does what she needs to do like put up with her father. We also meet Jhaeros who is very interested in Shalendra. He comes across as a conceded know it all. Aerith goes thru a lot, like getting married to a rich fay due to her father insisting and then becomes a widow shortly after. When she returns home, she gets invited to the monster ball and is surprised to see Jhaeros at the party. This is where things get interesting. A sexy encounter between Aerith and Jhaeros takes place at the monster ball.It leaves on a beautiful cliffhanger that had me crying. One of my favorite’s stories in this bundle!!!
*The Red Huntress*Little Red Riding Hood with a sexy twist. I love the introduction on this book. They call her “Red” not for the cape she wears but for the blood trail she leaves behind. And with that she had me hooked. She hunts werewolves especially one in particular. The one that killed her parents :Grayson Bloodstone the alpha of the werewolves. She has been training and waiting all her life to kill him. Lucky for her she gets invited to the Monster Ball. She knows he will be at the ball. As soon as she arrives she is bewitch like a magnet to Grayson. let’s just say nothing goes as planned. Looks can be deceiving and there’s always two sides of the story. They ignite in one sexy bloody battle but more sexy than anything. they know they are sworn enemies Can love conquer all? Can a truce be done? History of their bloody battles and feud come to light…and some surprising shocking twists. I really enjoyed this story. No cliffhangers! Loved it! Just pure satisfaction Sexy short story!*Kiss of Death*Special Ops mission gone horrible wrong. A sexy Fae named Gemini gets assigned to attend the Monster Ball to retrieve an important chip that affects all supernatural beings from a wealthy and dangerously hound Kristoff Rasmussen. That is her target. She cannot harm him just removed the chip and call it a night. Easy right? NOPE. Nothing goes right. This mission turns into her worst nightmare. Thru the night she meets two sexy guys, one a shifter name Jax and the other not sure. The shifter she has a good time making out and the other one saves her from Kristoff. She gets beaten and almost killed by Kristoff but her sexy angel saves her which but we don’t know who he is. She returns empty handed without the chip that leaves her jobless. She never gets her saviors name. Leaves on a cliffhanger.*Isle Of Darkness: Gargoyles were intended for one thing: to protect. When sexy prince gargoyle Striker is assigned to protect Umbria a demon fairy princess he is not happy. He is supposed to protect the good beings and her bloodline is dark not divine so he is having a hard time adjusting. She meets him at the Monster Ball and instantly feels attracted to him. Even though he is also attracted to her he makes it clear that “the bond” or feelings they currently feel is only because he is under oath by a contract to protect her and nothing else. She gets upset when she finds out she must return home and face whoever is trying to kill her having Striker by her side. Leaves on a cliffhanger.*Pucker Up*We meet a very hungry succubus by the name Alexis Shay also known as hell’s pet. she is a demon working for Lucifer. She steals souls and enjoys it. I love her sassiness and attitude! But things get a little weird for her. She makes out with one sexy fine “aqua eyes” guy and everything gets weirder by the second. Like fighting some people and making out with Aqua Eyes. Not that she doesn’t enjoy it until things go too far that leaves her without her precious wings that she worked so hard for. Aqua Eyes guy turns out to be her absolute worst nightmare. He is an Angel. Angel of death. Leaves on a cliffhanger.*She-Wolf*We meet Kat who is dreading the Monster Ball. Is that time of year again to party and it would have been fun if Kat didn’t have to make the biggest choice of her life: choose between two twin brothers for a mate: except both are horrible choices. At the ball she greets sexy Delman, cousin to the brothers who she wishes she could choose for mate but arrange mating prevents that. Delman makes her realize you always have a choice! And choice she makes!! *Tiaras and Fangs* Cinderella story with amnesia. We meet Savannah who just witnessed her boyfriend cheating with her sister. Perfect timing for a Monster Ball. She decides to go except the weird invitation she received had no address. At midnight she’s ready as can be and out of the blue this magical beautiful woman appears and tells her she’s her faire-godmother. Sav is super confused but exited at the same time. She tells Sav her prince is waiting at the ball so she magically dresses her with a bloody beautiful red dress. At the party she meets Prince Luca Caspan. He seems familiar and after a few encounters at the ball suddenly her old memories come back and she is speechless. A lot is discovered about her and Luca and explains their history. In fact Sav is indeed a princess. She’s a shifter wolf princess just like Luca. Why she couldn’t remember it’s explained by Luca. Their reunion is short lived and ends on a cliffhanger.*Chameleon*This one had me laughing out loud. One of my Favorites! We meet Isa and she steals powers or borrows them for a little time after she touches skin to skin with other supernatural beings. If you ever saw Xmen she reminds me of Rouge. Isa is hilarious. I’m not kidding, she will have you laughing all day thru the party! She gets to the party and is surprised to see Torstein Alva. He is the Motherload. The way Isa describes people and things will have you laughing! She sets a goal to bring Torstein home because there is a bounty on his head. It will make her super rich if she does plus get some answers on some girls who disappeared last seen with Torstein. This story was sexy and fun. It doesn’t end on a cliffhanger but it deserves a follow up!! So good!*Black Orchids*We meet Ivy who owns a flower shop and for the past two years she is suffering from amnesia. The last thing she remembers are touching black orchids. Ivy is too scared to try anything new. On her work day she meets Ren who is interested to partnership with her business. She is instantly attracted to him and can’t explained it. While walking her roommates dog Lola she gets the Monster Ball invitation. She laughs it off and says totally not. All of sudden she sees the light and gets transported to the monster ball. She sees interesting looking people. And then sees a very familiar face; Ren. Ren surprises her by telling her she is a Fairy. Say what? He thought she knew but then she explains how she has had amnesia for a while now. She mentions the black orchids And he seems he knows something. With the help of Ren she breaks the spell and then some. Cute ending. No cliffhanger*The Sun and Moon*I loved this story. We meet Lucas the vampire who is getting ready to burn himself by the window just to feel and see the sun. He mises being human. He knows the light of the sun won’t kill him like most other vampires but is as close as he can get to the sun. He has a strong bloodline and is willing to try this in order to A. make a statement to his parents they can’t manipulate him. B. miss The Monster Ball. His sister Julia finds him crispy like a bacon after he fried himself by the window and decides to bring him a human meal to recuperate: Joseline. Lucas finds himself attracted to her right away as she reminds him of the sun. While locked together, Lucas is surprised to see she receives a Monster Ball invitation which can’t be possible if you’re human. Humans don’t get invited to the Monster Ball. So begs the questions what is she? Since there’s no way to decline the party, they get ready together for the ball. The more time Joseline spends with Lucas the more she starts to fall for him. At the ball they are joined by Luca’s parents who keep pressuring him to settle down with an arranged vampire marriage named Annice but Lucas blows them off. He is making it crystal clear is Joseline he wants and Joseline he gets. Of course evil Annice doesn’t take no for an answer and try’s to kill Joseline and that’s when we find out what Joseline truly is. Let’s just say she’s the closest thing to the Sun. *squeal* these two were the cutest ever. I loved how their love blossoms. I really wished this one had a cliffhanger because i freaking loved it

By far, “The Monster Ball Anthology” is my absolute favorite anthology. And it’s the first anthology I have completed. Each story drew me in and I couldn’t stop reading. The authors did an amazing job with their creativity and bringing this ball to life. Huge kudos to the organizers Bam Shepherd for her creation and keeping all these authors in line. I loved all the “Ball” characters that was in all the stories. The four bartenders, the gargoyle guards even the setting of the event. It really did an amazing job tying the stories together. Also it was amazing how good the authors were able to entwine some of the characters of other stories into their books. It really tied it all in. I need more of every book. I love the stories. Even when they were similar in girl gets boy, I love the different versions and the different supernatural characters. It was a truly fun anthology to read. Having the tie was more motivation to read all the stories too.
Story One: “Enemies and Lovers”. Excellent story to begin these stories. I couldn’t put it down. The author did a fabulous job. It had so many feels reading about Aerith and her life. This story gave me a bit of a Cinderella feel but in such a unique way. I wanted to smack her father and sister. Now I just want to know what happens after the ball and if she gets her HEA. Her ball experience was sure a surprised and I sure hope we get to read more from the author. This story had elves in it.
Story Two: “The Red Huntress”. This was one of my top favorite stories in the collection. The chemistry was off the chart between Riley and Grayson. I love reading the dual POV so you felt like you got both sides of the story. Really helped understanding how the other character was feeling. The later part of the story is quite the surprise. This story had a little red riding hood feel to it too with the werewolf and hunter.
Story Three: “Kiss of Death”. This story had a unique ending and I need more of the story. I really hope the author choses to continue writing Gem’s story. I enjoyed that the ending was different than the majority of the stories in this collection. It added variety to this anthology. Gem, a fae who can change her appearances is out on assignment. She’s working toward being an agent in the organization she works for. However her night does not go as well as planned. A stranger comes to her aid and she has a moment with the hot alpha Jax. I hope we get to learn more about what happens after the ball to poor Gem.
Story Four: “ Isle of Darkness’. Wow another amazing story. This one has to do more with gargoyles and dark fae, and is dual POV. Striker and Umbria’s chemistry is hot in this story. I love their dynamic together. Their individual stories are interesting and as they tie in together at the ball it was fun to read. With Striker as a gargoyle it was great to have more interaction with the gargoyle twin guards, Brox and Lex.
Story Five: “Pucker Up”. This story had the most opposite supernaturals to come together. Alexis is Lucifer’s number on Succubus, bringing more souls his way than any other. Throughout the ball every where she goes and every time to tries to feed there is her stalker, hot and sexy Breckin. Haha. I was laughing throughout this story with the number of times Breckin interrupts Alexis. He also saves her life a few times when hunters make a move. Very surprising events occur during their story. I would love more of their story as well. Really, I NEED more of this one.

Story Six: “Secret Demons”. Completely different and unique story of the whole book. All in male POV which was a nice change then always reading female or dual POV. The author created an amazing world in this story. Waring countries and two people are have the same abilities find each other and then again at the Ball. I like how protective Jag is with Ariya, even if they are technically enemies. So many secrets are disposed throughout this story that will keep you drawn in. The ending will leave you wanting more. I just hope the author will continue Jag and Ariya’s story.
Story Seven: “Chameleon”. I want Isa’s powers. She is a chameleon who absorbed other’s powers by touching them. This story is full of humor and will have you laughing throughout. The hoops Torstein makes Isa go through so she can “capture” him for his bounty is so entertaining to read. Of course Isa got more than she bargain for trying to capture Torstein. Great story.
Story Eight: “ Black Orchids”. This book has all the feels to it. Poor Ivy, one day she loses her memory and awakes in a completely different area. Some parts of her life she remembers like owning and taking care of a flower shop. Black orchids are fore front in her mind as the she had received an order of those the day she loses her memory. One day at her shop she meets Ren and something draws them together. I enjoyed reading about Ren and Ivy’s connection. It plays a huge part towards the end of the story. Another fun one to read. I enjoyed the mystery of the storyline.
Story Nine: “She-Wolf”. This story was another HOT chemistry storyline. Kat has been told she has to choose one of the twin brothers to mate with. One broke her heart and the other broke her spirit. She has the Monster Ball to see them again after four years and to make her decision. Yep not sure I would want to go either. While at the ball Kat runs into Delman, the twins cousin. A different can of wolf shifter (one that has magic). I really enjoyed this storyline and the dynamic between Kat and Delman. The story took an interesting turn towards the end which was fitting and interesting.
Story Ten: “Tiaras and Fangs.” First off LUCA!! Talk about a sexy character. So much so that he is mentioned in another story. Luca and Savannah have some kind of history that we don’t find out until the ball. Savannah’s sister is someone you want to punch at the beginning of the story but I feel there is more to her that I hope we will see in future writings by the author. So much happens between Savannah and Luca at the ball that keeps your interest. So many questions as well that I hope we see in future books. Definitely excited to learn more about these two.
Story Eleven: “ The Sun and Moon”. I’m kind of surprised this is the one and only vampire story of the who anthology. Writing in dual POV, Joseline is kidnapped going home from work. She finds herself in the house of Luca. Julia, Luca’s sister has brought her there as a feeding bag for Luca. However there is something special about Joseline. When Joseline receives a invitation to the ball, Luca takes her as his date and they begin quite an adventure. One of surprises, drama, and more.
I quite enjoyed all these stories and I truly hope the authors take their creations in this anthology and expand on them in future books. Definitely give these stories a chance. It will not disappoint.

What an incredible, out of this world anthology! It is by far my favorite one ever as it was exceptionally well organized and the stories were meticulously interconnected. The Monster Ball becomes this tangible event and you'll feel as if you are actually there watching it all play out. I loved how all the individual stories built into a larger, overarching story and the character and setting details remained the same throughout. I highly recommend this anthology and consider it a definite must-read for those that love PNR or discovering new authors.

Enemies to Lovers
I loved the twist on a trope I'm already a sucker for. The tension and battle of wills between the characters made it even more intense and the twists were so satisfying. There are several irritating (and truly dislike them) characters that would make for excellent drama in the future and I really hope the author releases more with these characters.

The Red Huntress
I immediately loved the MC's spunk and fight and it only got better as the story progressed. The push and pull magnetism between them built my anticipation so strongly, I was on the edge of my seat. I loved the deeper set message of the story as well. I'd love to read more stories within this world as well.

Kiss of Death
This one had a spy thriller feel to it and was probably the most action-oriented story of the set. Think James Bond girl is really the brains and the brawn. Rodrigo is despicable and the fights were exciting. Be prepared to get pumped up, you won't be sleeping after this one. Hats off to the author for bending the proprietor's rules.

Isle of Darkness
I loved the supernatural pair-up of this story and the strength of the characters. Their undeniable connection and chemistry despite their respective roles and responsibilities added to the potential for future drama and I really want a follow-up to this story in the future too.

Pucker Up
What a twist! This was such a fun story. It had humor, heat, a self-confident MC, and left me wanting with questions galore. I was sucked in immediately and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Secret Demons
This was definitely one of the heavier, more intricate stories. I had a little trouble keeping the different groups and places separate, but loved the fantasy flair of this story. I also liked getting a male's POV since a majority of the stories were female dominated. The stakes were high for the characters and yet they found a way to connect beyond just a physical attraction. This was a nice change of pace from the previous stories and ended on a cliffhanger that has me imagining all sorts of outcomes.

Chameleon
This story was hilarious and Isa kept me laughing with her attitude and wit the whole time. I loved the idea of a chameleon and wish I had her abilities. Torstein was dark, dangerous, and challenging which just served to make him more delicious. Definitely a winning story and I'd love more from this author!

Black Orchids
This was a sweet, cute deviation from the previous stories. I loved watching things play out between the characters and how the story came full circle, especially the addition of Brielle.

She-Wolf
This was another complex story with twists, scheming and information galore. While I liked this story and the message within it, I probably had the most trouble connecting with it emotionally. I felt Kat's mixed feelings as they translated to the reader well, but this also left me questioning Delman's true intentions and sincerity the whole time, detracting from the romance aspect for me. It also felt like a lot of information and behind-the-scenes reveals compacted into too short of a time at the end.

Tiaras and Fangs
What a sweet story about reconnecting with a satisfying dose of karma dished out. There was sass, humor, chemistry, and a touching story all bundled in a great little package. I'd love to see more of these character's in the future.

The Sun and Moon
The writing was as smooth and polished as Lucas. I loved the mystery surrounding Joseline's supernatural heritage and I wasn't disappointed once it was revealed. Her reactions to learning about the supernatural world were honest and relatable for me as was the attraction and chemistry between them. I also loved the sense of wonder and marvel the author managed to infuse throughout the story.

Accept your silver invatation and attend the Monster Ball where you'll dance among beautifully dressed creatures.  Drink cocktails and hobnob whilst figuring out just whom you're surrounded by. Meet an elf named Aerith, a witch named Riley, a fae named Gemini, a gargoyle named Striker,  a
succubus named Alexis, a chameleon named
Isa, a florist named Ivy, a wolf named Kat and Lucas the vampire.

Enemies and Lovers
What a twist this tale took!! I loved the story even more once Aerith ran into a certain someone!! And wow... what a steamy scene soon followed! I truly hope that there will be more to this story,  as it was so enthralling!!

The Red Huntress
One addictive and pulse thumping novella! I totally need more!! I loved the plot! It was exciting and a very refreshing change to the normal red caped girl we know. The enemy was one smooth charmer who would make any lady swoon. Riley is so sure of her destiny that its quite fun to watch her world change! This was one entertaining witch fairytale!!

Kiss of Death
This was one messed up tale! Not everything says goodbye once the ball is over. Gem is just trying to accomplish her mission, but issues keep arising,  like good looking strangers. See how her choices change her future.

 Isle of Darkness
Awe!!! Loved how this ended!! I absolutely am in love with Umbria and Striker!! They are just so delicious together!! I also very much loved how this author incorporated some of the prior characters into her tale! I certainly hope that there will indeed be more about these addictive characters 💘

Pucker Up
Breckin may just be my new book boyfriend!!! What a hottie! It's no wonder Alexis had such a difficult time staying away from him.  This was one tale where the chick was fierce and totally owned her snarkiness!! She totally needs another dose of Breckin and pronto! Hope we have more of this alluring couple soon!

Chameleon
Loved this so hard 💖💖💖 It was both hysterical and endearing!! Isa was one girl that you couldn't help but love and cheer for. Her personality was golden making her one memorable character! Torstein was intriguing and mysterious and totally crushable💖💖💖 The ending was very fitting! This author is a comedic genius!!

 Black Orchids
So much awe!!! This way very entertaining and such a sweet tale!! Loved it from beginning to end.  Ivy and Ren were utterly adorable! Ivy's story began with a curse! Dontcha just love true love!? 💘

She-Wolf
Such a sweet and exciting story!! Delman is quite dreamy while the twins are totally slimy.  Kat is one loveable girl and you just wish so much for her to be happy.  Love all the twists and turns that this took. True love waits for you 💖

The Sun and Moon
Loved this!! Lucas and Joseline are simply made for each other. This was one scintillatingly endearing tale! Loved what Joseline turned out to be.  Plenty of surprises kept arising.  Loved the addition of other charters from former books.  This was all so much fun!!

Holy heck. What a wonderfully anthology. These short stories really rocked my world. Theres paranormal drama, action, humor, romance, and of course heat. I really liked that these stories are all interconnected. Instead of feeling like individual books, it feels like a real connection. Jump in and get your ticket to the Monsters ball.

*Enemies to Lovers*
I enjoyed this story. I really liked the main character. She was strong and resilient. I liked that there was a back story. We got to see these characters outside the ball.

*The Red Huntress*
Holy heck. This story rocked my world. I really enjoyed the action in this story. The female is a strong character. I also liked the theme of not everything is what it seems.

*Kiss of Death*
This story left me panting for more. I liked the idea of the story. It was written well. What I loved most was the mystery.

*Isle of Darkness*
Eek. This story is my ideal story. Relationship of opportunity. That's what I would say to describe this story. There is an attraction there but these two characters are not thrown together because of their attraction alone. They each serve a greater purpose. I really liked this story.

*Pucker Up*
One kiss can change your whole life. It can light you on fire and melt your heart of stone. I liked this story. The characters were dynamic. The story was well written. It was a great story.

*Secret Demons*
What an interesting story. I liked the conversations between the characters. The author did good building this story. The characters were written well.

*Chameleon*
I liked the title of this one most. It just sounds like a good story. I was not disappointed. I liked the plot of this story. I think it fit perfectly with the anthology. I really could see this story being a full length novel.

*Black Orchids*
Hmm. This one was a bit of a mystery at first. It made me think while I was trying to figure out what was going on. I can say I liked the ending of this one the best so far. This one felt like it was finished but left room for exploration.

*She-Wolf*
This story excited me the most. I really enjoy wolves so when I saw the title I knew this was one I would enjoy. I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed this story. What do you do when you are forced to make a choice you don't want to? This story answers that.

*Tiaras and Fangs*
The title of this story is slightly deceiving. I expected a different type of story than what I got. With that being said, that's a good thing. I wasn't overly excited about this one but I got something I really enjoyed.

*The Sun and the Moon*
This was my least favorite of the bunch. With that being said, it was still a darn good story. I enjoyed the characters and plot. It was interesting and engaging. It was only my least favorite because this particular paranormal creature is not my favorite.
