We were sent a review copy of Removing Your Shame Label: Learning To Break From Shame And Feel God’s Love by Eddie Capparucci LPC free from the publicist for the purpose of writing a review.

Removing Your Shame Label is designed to assist people who have a difficult time dealing with their past and feel ashamed of it.

Different people are affected by their past in different ways. Many feel ashamed of their past even though they had no control over much of it.

Removing Your Shame Label is well-written and is backed up by years of experience the author has had as a counselor.

The author is a professing Christian and uses many Biblical references throughout the book. We recommend the book for anyone who is dealing with shame from their past.

It is a shame that I wasted my time on this book. It isn't badly written and contains anecdotes and a generous smattering of scripture. But the starting point is that everyone has sinned and no one comes close to God's glory. But that is okay because God loves you anyway. There are some suggestions for helping to ease things like stuckness but overall I was disappointed by the lack of a cogent plan. for people dealing with guilt and shame and/or other bad feelings and baggage, I would suggest Lester Levenson's Release Technique. it is easy, actionable and does not require adherence to any orthodoxy or belief.

Have an open mind and heart when reading

I saw this book and immediately thought of my youngest son. He has been recently arrested and now waiting his trial which could be a while. I'm ordering the paper back copy to be sent to him. There were many parts that struck me but here is one. "Who are we to believe our sins are greater than the sacrifice made by the only pure and innocent man who ever walked the face of this earth? Who are we to question God, who is able to forgive us what we cannot forgive in others? Who are we to question our creator? Who are we to question our Heavenly Father?"

Important Read for Anyone Who Has Faced Shame & Humiliation

Everyone has experienced the trauma of being shamed or has felt shame or humiliation. This book explains what the enemy does not want us to hear and that it is easy to rid ourselves of the destructive shame identity when we learn that God's Word guarantees freedom from its grip.

I "bought" this book because it was free through Book Bub. I had no idea the contents would speak into my life. I saw myself in so many of the situations. And greatly needed the reminder that God lives me regardless.

Are you afraid?

I wasn't even I had a shame label! Now I wish I lived in Georgia so I could seek out Mr Capparucci as a counselor. I've never had anybody get so close. I'm not ready to give up! This book won't do the work for you but it will give you a great place to start!

Sticky and worth the pull

This book gives practical steps to do the work of removing the label we wear in our hearts. Reading it does not do the work for you but following the steps, actually doing what is suggested, will work. The goo may take some re-treatment. Be persistent.

Excelente libro
