Starts out confusing because it in no way correlates with the end of book 2. Eva has flashbacks to remember all her memories before the start of this book. I hated the flashbacks in all the other books, and then they started over. Great.

Eva is also so stupid. She can literally can see the village empty -- then later full, she isn't allowed to talk to anyone, black scary castle, feels misery from looking at a room she's in, got tricked into taking a potion that wasn't what she was told it was, Aiden standing over her ecstatic while she writhes in pain, has a bad flashback of Aiden, etc .... but what does she do? La-Ti-Da continues on being led around by the hand by Aiden, taking the potions he and Gwenny gives her. My god I can't stand her. DNF 30%

I kept hoping that Eva would grow a brain, gain some magic, do something useful, but alas she is always a victim. She lets everyone else provide for/control her. Not just this book, but in the others too. It never became too much to handle until she became a dumbass with Aiden.

This one was a bit frustrating. I feel like everything hit fast forward and what I originally liked about the story changed drastically. It ended with us trying to figure out what is going to happen next.

This was a difficult book to listen to.  There are 3 different Eva's "timelines" to follow. Perhaps in the printed book it is easier to follow.  We have the original Eva's story, the unconscious Eva's "dream" story, and what is happening in reality in the current timeline.
Each time an Eva chapter starts, you don't know which one it will be. And as it is the same characters but portrayed in different ways it can take a few sentences to get back in that headspace. I wish the author had not had Eva use the same name for every life. It would have made things easier had the past chapters being called Evangeline (not her name but just an example).  Due to this the book is rated lower than previous books.

I was intrigued by the series but it really fell off at this book for me. I ended up more confused by the end of this book than I was when I started reading the series (and not in a good mystery way). The book felt like it was dragging and even though you get glimpses of the past, you don’t have many questions answered. I’m frustrated by how little Eva questions things or doesn’t try to figure things out. Also, this series was labeled as a RH. There’s barely any kissing until this book and even then, it’s still only one character - with an almost fade to black for the scene. The spice is a 1 at most. Which is fine, but just not what was advertised.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Wow things are really heating up for Eva now. She is the prisoner of an evil Prince Aiden though thanks to a fantasy dream like world she does not know that as he tries to unlock her hidden powers. While trapped her guys and friends are trying their best to rescue her though they get lots of surprises along the way. If you have been keeping up with this series then you really have to read this one as it answers quite a few of our long term questions. If you have not read the books yet why not? They are totally awesome!! I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars and will be eagerly looking forward to the net installment.

Loved the first two books, Really disappointed that this book was so rushed and just didn't go into any detail.

Well as I stated above. Wow this author did a 360 on me. It was not detailed, to many crazy things happening, Then somehow Eva is bam out of the craziness so easily. So many questions, no answers. I feel like this was fluff. I can't believe that the book turned out so poorly.! So annoyed, she had a good book going...

Least favorite book in the series so far. We learned some things, but it was kind of boring. I'm not sure I'll be continuing with this series.

Eva has disappeared. Vanished. Damon, Mason, and Beckham are losing their minds. But it seems Lexi has been keeping a secret or two and believes that she knows who has Eva and how to find her but they need Beckham's memory. Surprises keep coming from the little red-headed devil. As soon as their limited memories are shared these three along with Beckham set off to rescue Eva. Eva is with King Aiden. He tells her she's the Queen and that she was stolen centuries ago, and that he's been searching for her desperately ever since. Eva has no memories of this first life and only a few horrid memories of her last life. Still, there's something that seems almost familiar about Aiden and he seems to want to be close to her. He's helping her to discover and unlock her powers but she can't seem to fully bring herself to trust him. At night she is haunted by dreams that seem more like hidden memories and each time she seems to be getting closer to Aiden, she hears familiar voices in her mind. As her men get closer, desperately looking for her time is running out. If she accepts too much of this new life, she will forget her past altogether. Will they be able to reach her in time or will King Aiden have his Golden Queen?

Forbidden Queens is remarkable. The amount of detailing needs to be applauded. World-building, Eva's history, magical manipulation and its history, dreamscapes, and modern-day storylines are all integral to the story. This is such a layered adventure. Honestly, it could easily have been information overload with how much we learn about Eva and her past but the way it's written allows tons of information to be distributed in multiple entertaining ways that keep the story moving along nicely. Again the writing needs to be applauded. Some information gives us those 'aha' moments, some causes worry and tension to build, some is vital, all are fascinating. We also get to see Eva evolve from a lost girl who was thrilled to experience life for what she thought was the first time and start to embrace who she truly is. A Queen. She's powerful beyond imagination and this has helped her gain confidence even during this hardship. I think this is only the beginning for Eva. This isn't just Eva's story, however. Lexy and the guys each play a major role. The complexity of the emotions they all cycle through is like a roller coaster. Each new revelation creates inner turmoil. Even the good information they receive/remember comes with a heavy toll. Plus, with their anxiety over Eva and their shared jealousy, these men are nearing the breaking point. Then there's Aiden. This man is unbelievable. He's mysterious, powerful, charming (when he wants to be), obsessed and quite possibly utterly devoid of any compassion. He's a formidable danger.

Finally, I need to mention the ending. Just when we thought that maybe life was settling down a bit, BOOM, another visit with Lexy. One little statement. One major new question. Why do I think it's going to get even more complicated for Eva and her men? With the incredible imagination of CR Jane, I know it will be another amazing chapter in Eva's life. I do hope there's some time for her to enjoy her men before she's thrown into turmoil again.

Forbidden Queens takes us into the mind of Eva, as shes kept captive. Although I'm still greatly immersed in this story and these characters, this book fell short for me compared to the others. Most of the book is from Eva's POV as shes stuck in her own mind being manipulated by Aiden. We learn a lot about Eva's past and even how Beckham and Mason impacted her previous life. It seems there is more to Eva and her men then we thought.
To me this book was just slower then the others. I still thought it was a well written book with so much detail that helps us better understand Eva and her men. We already knew from previous books who Beckham was to Eva, but if he was her fated mate before then they still have that connection still.. so how does she feel just as strong for Damon and Mason. Well we learn that maybe shes met these men before also... hmm ;)
This book was eye opening to Eva's past and possible future. We're still in the dark about what exactly Eva is, although this book did give readers a great view of her past life and what we thought she might have been, but CR Jane is a sneaky writer and throws that ending at us!
I loved learning about Eva's past, and I loved seeing the emotional stress Beckham, Mason and Damon went through.
Cant wait for the next book!
Thank you to the author for allowing me this opportunity to read this series!

Another hit for me with this series. I've really enjoyed all of these even the novella that I had my complaints about. I feel like this is also the lost time that's passed in one of these books but that not a whole lot actually happened. I'm not sure about this cliff hanger of lexi knowing who Eva's parents are.... Is she not actually meant to be queen or did her mom have an affair I can't see the magic of her fae land going into her if her mom wasn't her actual mom. After everything Damon, Beckham and Mason went through to get Eva back I would've thought more than just Mason would be ready to share her. How long is going to take for Aiden to catch up with her again and in the end of all this is she going to be with all three men or not and if so are they all going to give up their life's to rule tir na nog?

Now to the next book hehe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

C.R Jane is bloody good at these cliffhangers lol

It was full of emotions with this book. Following Eva in her dreams and what is real and what wasn’t was kinda confusing even for me than the the character lol
The guys coming together but at the same time it didn’t go the way you think and hoped and I am really hoping it can work for them in the end because they have been together for so long
This series is on a constant rollercoaster with the twists and secrets
It’s a series that keeps giving and will have you constantly turning the page and not wanting to do anything else other than read
You find yourself lost from the real world and it’s an amazing feeling 😁

😔😕🫤😮‍💨‼️

Okay…my presumption is correct. Each book or rather books 1 and 2 are similar to book 4. Each book is a portion of a whole story broken up into segments.

Again, this book continues from where book 2 left off (the cliffhanger moment). Eva’s character is a little one dimensional ( too naive, uncertain, falls in lust easily). It was a little disappointing to see her character devolve into a whimpering mess, evolve into a short lived powerful queen and back to a crying, confused girl. Where’s the consistency?

Unfortunately, it ends with another cliffhanger and I presume it’s the premise or plot for the next book.

Hopefully, book 5 improves Eva’s disposition and my opinions about her and the series as well.

keeps getting worse

Started off as a really cute series. But as the series progressed, it got boring to annoying. Not only is the series incomplete (I’ve even asked the author if it was in the near future and got no response) but it goes in circles. It seems pointless to write a 8 series when more than half seemed to be literally the same stuff being written.
I practically just skimmed the rest after book 3 just so I wasn’t wasting time
Each book ending ends up with more questions than answers. I’m so confused

Absolutely loved this book, most of this book gives us Evas back story, which was very much needed, loved having all the guys povs, we get to know so much more about Mason and Beckham in this book, and what they mean to Eva. Each book in this series keeps getting better. The explanation about the Pixius, so funny, made me laugh out loud. Eagerly awaiting the next book.

Forbidden Queens is a richly layered continuation of Eva’s story, blending mythology, magic, fractured memories, and emotional intensity into a narrative that constantly deepens rather than settles.

Eva’s disappearance sets the story into motion, throwing Damon, Mason, and Beckham into a state of barely controlled panic. Lexi, once again, proves herself to be far more than she appears, revealing secrets that force painful memories to resurface. As shared recollections unlock a path forward, the story splits its focus between Eva’s captivity and the desperate race to bring her home.

Eva’s time with King Aiden is where the novel truly leans into its complexity. Aiden claims Eva is his Queen, stolen from him centuries ago, and that her current life is merely an interruption of fate. Eva, with no memory of this supposed past, is caught between his version of truth and the pull of voices, dreams, and instincts tied to the men she loves. The tension lies not just in whether she will escape, but in what accepting this new reality might cost her. Forgetting her past entirely is a very real possibility.

One of the novel’s greatest strengths is its world-building. There is an enormous amount of information woven throughout: Eva’s history, the rules of magical manipulation, dreamscapes, and the merging of ancient and modern timelines. It could easily have become overwhelming, but C.R. Jane delivers it with impressive balance. Revelations arrive in different forms, some rewarding, some unsettling, and all purposeful. Each layer adds momentum rather than slowing the story down.

Eva’s personal growth is especially compelling. Watching her shift from a lost girl experiencing life for the first time into someone beginning to claim her identity as a Queen is powerful. Her confidence grows even under immense pressure, hinting that this is only the beginning of her evolution.

This story is not Eva’s alone. Lexi and the men play crucial roles, each grappling with fear, jealousy, and emotional strain. Even positive revelations come with heavy consequences, and their shared anxiety pushes them dangerously close to the edge.

Aiden stands out as a chilling antagonist. He is charming when it suits him, deeply obsessed, and terrifyingly devoid of compassion. His certainty makes him more dangerous than outright cruelty.

The ending delivers another sharp turn, introducing new questions just when things appear momentarily stable. With C.R. Jane’s imagination, it’s clear that Eva’s journey is far from over, and the complications are only just beginning.

**Review shared for series**

DNF - Finished 100% of book 1 & 2, skimmed book 3, 93% of book 4

This biggest reason I dnf is because the men in the harem are all extremely jealous of each other and they are all trying to win the heart of the mfc, but they each want all of her to themselves..

There was also a lot of small plot holes. I don't usually mind a few here or there as long as I can understand what is going on, but if there are a bunch of small ones it becomes a big problem. In the second book "going over all of the dreams I had been having lately, and the...visions." pg. 33. But every time she has a dream and vision she doesn't remember them? This is a continuous issue throughout the series. She has dreams or visions but can't remember them and yet she is constantly going over them.

Also... the mfc is continously going through abuses and traumatic stuff and yet she is totally fine. Spent MONTHS with some guy manipulating her mind and then is going to Paris to a concert. And that's after growing up in an abusive home to an extreme, being kidnapped, seeing some of the only people she knew for year murdered in front of her, almost sexually assaulted... like just SO much kept happening to this girl and she acts like the world is fine.

I think the idea behind the book is a good one. That's why I kept reading. It just wasn't executed well.. Maybe the author can take the time to edit it some more in the future and I will give it another try.

I don't really know why I'm still reading these. Two out of three of the harem are awful. The main character is a literal Mary Sue. This isn't even reverse harem, so much as it's, "Date three guys at once despite them not wanting to share me." I don't read RH to listen to men whining she's not choosing him or to read about fights in the harem because they don't want to share. That's not what RH is.

On top of all that, the writing is truly awful. It was very obviously not edited at all, and honestly reads like the author wrote this out and immediately published to KU without even self-editing. You can not convince me anyone edited this, because the tense changes from present to past and back again, and the author doesn't know the difference between your/you're and there/their/they're. There are so many mistakes throughout the whole series that it's not even worth noticing them anymore.

But then one will be so terrible that you can't help but notice. Like when the author used the word "malay" instead of melee. That brought my husband and I so much amusement that I decided to continue to the next book. I guess I'm just a masochist or something, I dunno, sue me.

Holy moly guys!
We get so freaking much in this book!

I almost don't know where to begin with this one.

Eva has gone missing.
Her memories gone.
And only one person who could possibly know where she is.

While several questions we have been asking ourselves since the beginning of the series have been answered, several more pop up in their place.
There are twists, turns, jaw dropping and heart-stopping moments that have you desperately turning the page to find out what will happen next.

Told from multiple points of views, with Eva being the most consistent.

So much information is thrown at you.
There were times I went back just to make sure I read something right and knew exactly what was going on.
I didn't want to skip over anything or miss out on some crucial part of the story.

I love the turn this series has taken and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

If you haven't started The Fated Wings series, I highly recommend picking it up now and giving it a whirl.
You won't be disappointed.

Overall i thought this book was good, although for some reason it was harder for me to get into and stay focused on the story. There were more exciting parts here and there and towards the end it picked up more. I enjoy how the connections to her men and Lexi's actions showed up in her 'fantasy world'. The main complaint i had from the last story is we did not see the men's POV while reading - this was mostly fixed in this one. We saw what was happening to not just Eva but to her men trying to find her. However, I will say there are somethings that could have been elaborated on more in the men's POV. Some things were more detailed and some where watered down - for me especially i would have loved to have more details on the what the men had to go thru to get to the castle... it simply mentioned "oh we fought this and that" but i would have liked to see the details of what they went thru because as it reads it was almost too easy of a rescue.

However, Overall it was an interesting read and i plan on continuing the series to find out what occurs next in Eva's Story

I have continued on this series more to get more about the damn FMC rather than the romance. Each book just gives crumbs to patch together a somewhat guess as to what Eva's story is. It's frustrating.

I think this book so far makes the most effort to add layers to Eva's history and I could see few things cleared out but more special powers being placed towards the end kinda resume this loop of trying to learn more. I'm not sure how I felt about all of the scenes with Prince Aiden, it's not immersive enough to feel the illusion. Not to mention, the end just quits the pretence so abruptly that any interest towards this dude is lost.

The more I read, the more it feels like the present scenes are just bland. The flashbacks always have more interest, more sense of characterisation than the present. I'm not sure if I will continue the series for the crumbs of puzzling out Eva's special snowflake powers.

Unforgettable

I read so many books that a lot of times when the newest book in a series comes out, I have to reread the whole series to refresh myself with the characters and storyline. I never have to with this one but I enjoy doing it and fall in love with everyone and everything in the book harder each time. The story is mesmerizing and I can’t consume it fast enough. It’s agony waiting for each new book to be released but absolutely worth it. The introduction to Aiden adds a whole other dynamic to Eva’s story and I can’t wait to learn more about her past. I love seeing her strength grow in each book. I was pleasantly surprised to learn about Mason’s history and am dying to know if Damon has his own forgotten back story. Not to mention Lexi’s other secrets. Hell I hope we see more of Lexington and any other wonderful creatures. I can’t get enough of this series!!

Wow what a journey!

Ok...so I've waited reviewing this series till I finished the whole damn thing. It's good.... but weird....but good.....so I'm a little torn in what to say. Hot men...yes, crazy unrealistic situations...duh, it's fantasy. Ok so it's kind of tropey, kind of silly at times, kind of dark and insane. But that all kind of works here. The author wrote a story for herself and it's great to numb the brain and excite the senses. It's the very best of all worlds. Is it Shakespeare, no but that's ok. I like the weird little twists where you go "what did I just read?" I have whiplash where it goes from wow super happy college girl to locked in a basement and although Aiden I'm sure will stay the bad guy...I'd love to have him redeemed?? Jane any chance that Aiden actually turns good? Anyways onto the next book.

2.5⭐ Okay... All I gotta say about this one is that some of the decision making defies logic and common sense.

Like if the big bad is after you, why do you go places alone or without back up?

I really liked the first book but I think the plot/ mystery have been spread across the books in a way that makes it feel too drawn out in some places and too short in others.

Some areas felt really repetitive or unnecessary and I found myself skipping/ skimming parts.

But what keeps me coming back is wanting Eva to finally fall into her badassery. I wanna see homegirl fry somebody who really deserves it. And to see the angst through with the guys. That's probably number one haha.

This book took us from urban paranormal romance and threw us more into romantasy for a minute and I did really enjoy all of the action and labyrinth vibes!

Good but I want more

You ever read a series that had so much potential? And you adored the characters? But for some reason there was just something that was lacking from it that you wished was there... to make it great? That’s how I feel about this series. It’s actually really good and I recommend reading it, but it’s just missing something. Some plot twist or maybe it drags along too slowly? I’m not sure. I very much enjoy these books but I want more. I want it to MOVE me. I want the heroine to be vulnerable but BADASS when it counts. It’s so close to being great but it’s missing some key elements that I can’t put my finger on...

Just the same, I’d still recommend it! It’s totally worth reading

This one was meh too! All I want is cute banter and sexy moments between Eva and Beckham OR Eva and Damon. I’m not quite sure which I want yet, but I def don’t want Mason. There’s nothing in these books making me feel for Mason. Yes, the author had to introduce the “husband” somehow and had to put in more world building. But it couldn’t have been done through a Damon/Beckham history lesson??? It was just boring. I really want her to choose Damon bc he was the one we were introduced with, but she’s definitely picking Beckham right now. I get it, they were mates in their first life and have their memories back. But she definitely feels the same way for Damon. Maybe she was fated with him in a different life too??? Plus!!! Both of them have wings…little sus if he’s not her mate

I can't even master the motive to write a detailed review or to justify my disappointment about how this series unfolds. Eva never grew a spine or a brain. We see less of the guys in this, and the plot gets so confusingly stupid that I lose any interest!

Honestly, the whole 4 books can be combined into one the fact that they have been split to maximum profit is disgusting.

From zero to hero

The series is getting better. It really went from "boring. Please k*ll me now" to "wow I like it here". We are finally seeing more of the magic system, the dynamic between characters, more of the world. I'm really intrigued about the creatures in this universe, most importantly what type of creature is Eva. She's the queen of Fairie but not because she has angel wings, like Damon. If you read the Damon novela... you know who she might be. But that just leave us with more questions. Because why is she so powerful, and also everyone becomes insanely obsessed with her. The other thing is how did she mate Damon? Why are they on earth? What happen to her memories? How is she reenacting, but the guys don't?... so many question!!.

Great series

I read this book in one sitting. It wasn't my favorite of the series but it was still a great read. Once again the book ends in another cliffhanger making the wait for the next book agonizing but I am sure it will be worth the wait. The only complaint I have is wanting more time reading about Eva with the guys. I felt like Aiden got more attention then he deserves and the reunion with the guys felt rushed. I hope having more time with the guys will help me like Beckham a little more because the little bit he has had in the series has just made him seem like a selfish jerk. I do hope it gets better as the series goes on. Can't wait for the next book!
