Bill Myers was born into a Christian home, and although as a child he became bored with Christianity, he decided at the University of Washington quote, to "make God my boss." Ironically, at the University his worst subject was writing. He claims to have prayed, and said that he would be able to do anything for God, except write. Even so, he has become a prominent Christian writer, and has a large amount of successful books and films to his credit.
I have loved this series so much and will be reading it over and over. The Harbingers battling pure evil in arenas I never thought about before has been a spiritual journey for me and I am thankful to these gifted authors!
Its so nice to have clean suspense works by these Christian authors. I have read all five collections in the Harbinger series, and I recommend all of them. Each novella was written in the person of the five main characters. This kept the stories new and kept my interest. These novellas moved like scenes from a television series. I hated to see the last chapter go by. I have explored other books by each of these authors, but would love to see more from this series too. I'm just amazed how four different writers kept the continuity of the storylines better them!
I felt like I really got to know Tank, And I, the Professor, Brenda, Daniel and even Chad along this journey, and was sad to see it all come to an end, but as it reveals...the end is only the beginning. All 20 books truly was a remarkable endeavor for all these authors to pull together in one incredible journey. Hope the adventure continues one day in the future.
What a month. I read all twenty books this month. Had a hard time finding the last two sets, had to wait for Amazon to ship them to me. Cried like a baby when it was over. I heard through the rumor mill that there is a chance they are going to make this into a t.v. show. Sign me up, I will definitely watch.
I could not put this series down until I read every one of the books. Thriller, action packed, Godly characters and just regular folks. Started reading these because of Frank Peretti but have found new authors to follow.
If you are into sci-fi and otherworldly here is your series. It is best to read this series in order. This is the 5th cycle of this series. It follows these 5-6 people who are fighting evil - mostly demons trying to save the world from the tribulation. This one has been better than some of the others. I really liked the first two cycles. The 3rd one was just weird and confusing. I was unable to read the 4th one and so was a little confused on this one because a new character has been introduced.
Excellently written books. I couldn’t put it down. It was sad to see the “Finish”; however, “Every ending is a beginning”. I look forward to more books from these authors.
