First book was a slow start for me. It set up the characters and the place, but the romance and story, while good, weren't great. Good enough to keep reading, as the characters and setting intrigued. The rest of the books in the series were lovely! Lots of humor (and not just the awkward rom com humor). Loved getting to know the characters better and that some serious topics were tackled. I'm sorry I finished the series... I'll have to check out other books by Kristan Higgins

Bought this on a recommendation from the author. I had read these awhile ago and I loved each one then. And I fell in love with each book once more as I had all of these books at my fingertips. Each book was wonderfully written, character development was on point, and I’ve said this before haha...these should be made into movies. A must read if you want a page turner, tissue box emptying romance. Gotta love the Holland’s and the O’Rourke’s!!

Outstanding series far an exceptional price

All 5 novels for half the cost of buying the 5 novels individually!

Wonderful stories of the Holland and O'Rourke families, with dense behavior in both sexes. I love both the sentiment and the humor in the dialogue, references to Star Trek and Star Wars, and the family and sibling dynamics. Ms. Higging has a gift with words and studies.

Just wish there were more Blue Heron stories.

Worth every minute, having just recently re-read this series, I can’t recommend it enough. Kristin Higgins has the perfect Rom Com ratio to her novels, they are so good it almost feels like I’m sitting through a movie as I read. If you need a healthy dose of lust worthy romance and humour Kristin Higgins is the ultimate pick me up and this series is the place to start, once you pick one up you’ll want to read everything she’s ever written!

This was anew author to me when I began this series!! I admit I was a little disappointed reading the first book but as I continued reading and really got into it I really began enjoying it!! The characters are great and the plots were wonderful and kept me coming back for more!!

I loved this series so much. A friend gave me The Best Man as a joke because the main character has the same name as my son. But then I read it, fell in love with the Manningsport and the people in it, and read them all.
