*This is a lighthearted, fast read. A sweetheart-type, mostly kept behind closed doors. If you enjoy spicy love scenes, this is NOT for you. There are a few sensual scenes but the storyline mainly focuses on emotionally-driven dialogue and connection.

Socialite and famous interior decorator, Emery Montgomery, has it all from her lavish penthouse suite to her couture fashion. She has everything she could ever want, from limos and private jets to worldly vacations. The only thing she is missing is a social life and a budding romance. Until one day, when she walks into the St. Regal Hotel for her last client meeting, where she meets, Tristan Santiago, a mixologist of Cuban flair and outgoing wit. With his charm and sex appeal, he woos her. Completely out of her comfort zone, and not usually her type, Emery spends more time with Tristan and finds herself amidst a passionate, seductive, and romantic relationship. Emery and Tristan battle the struggles of her hectic lifestyle and their different worlds, trying to balance and compromise to make it work. Emery is the model of elegance and class. Her lavish lifestyle and her constant need for success leaves little room for someone in her life. Tristan tries to fight for her attention and live up to her standards. His cultured, passionate, fiery, casual, yet sensitive nature constantly breaks away the walls Emery has up and reminds her to take chances & open her mind. His devotion and desire for her softens her heart, showing her what she has been missing. It is a love story of two opposite worlds coming together, molding & changing, balancing each other.

This was a great read! It was a lite-hearted, easy read. Definitely detailed in a way to pull you right in and make you feel apart of it. I enjoyed the story that was told and have labeled this as one of my “favs”! It will forever be the “hallmark story” of my library.
