Kayla
From the outside I was balanced. On time, en pointe, always perfect.
But everyone has secrets, and mine kept me alone, guarded and hiding. Safe.
I rarely left my guard down, until I met Enzo.
Hot drummer, good guy with big dreams and patient to a fault, it was no wonder he made my perfect walls crumble

Enzo
I had the world in the palm of my hands until I met her. She made me lose my breath, my head, my rhythm.
It was always one step forward, two steps back with her. We were supposed to be friends with benefits, but I wanted more.
Problem was, I carried a secret of my own. Would it make her run?

When do secrets become too much to handle?

This book’s characters deal with a sensitive topic. The author is focused on the healing, but please proceed with caution.

This book, story, and characters are truly amazing. Kayla and Enzo are introduced in Truly Yours. In that book, there is one scene with Kayla that both breaks your heart and sparks your curiosity.

Kayla and Enzo are amazing together. What starts out as an awkward encounter turns into a pseudo “friends with benefits” and then turns into so much more. They both have issues from their past that haunt them and shaped them into the people they’ve become. Kayla decided the best way to get away from her past is to leave it and the people who love her behind. Enzo works hard to help provide for himself and his family, even if it means sacrificing things on his part.

I love how Enzo pushes at Kayla until she opens herself up to him. I love how she takes his “weekend” life in stride and embraces it. My absolute favorite part, I threw a fist in the air in victory, is when Enzo had her back when Kayla had to confront her past.

I have been waiting on this book since I finished reading Truly Yours during the summer. The story was everything I wanted and more.

This is the first book I have read in this series and I have to say that it will not be the last. I will be reading the first book shortly because this book was so well written that it grabbed me right from page one and had me turning pages faster than you could say fast because I needed to know what was going to happen to Kayla and Enzo.

Kayla seems to have it all. She seems to be happy and living life day by day but deep down Kayla is keeping a secret hidden that threatens to destroy her. But she meets Enzo and they start a friendship that leads into a friendship with benefits. Only Enzo starts to have feelings for Kayla and wants more but being the gentlemen he is he does not push it but takes it slow.

This is a story of healing from pain and hurt, heartbreak that takes time to heal, and learning to love again. This story will have you crying good tears but crying nonetheless. This is a MUST MUST read series and I can't wait for what comes next.

This book was everything!!!! I got sucked into this book and I couldn't put it down! I knew something was happening between Enzo and Kayla from the first book but I didn't realize it went as deep as it did. These two definitely have put the ringer in life but have rised above it or will by the end of the book.
Kayla had a traumatic thing that happened to her. The bad thing..only her bestie believed her and she was shunned by her own mother. She was talked out of reporting it but still deals with the emotions of what happens. She hasn't told many people about it. She's looking for a fresh start and to continue her dancing. When she meets Enzo, which was a cute, it sparks something in her. She feels she can trust him and vice versa. They share their darkest secrets and help each other heal from it. I love how despite the chemistry they have in bed, they have it outside of it. You can't help but to love both of them. I love how sweet Enzo is. It was shown how much he cares for Kayla, his friends and family. He has a heart of gold. I fell in love with story and need more!!

This is the second book that I've read from the author and again it's a wonderful story about love and how finding that love in our heart can heal all the other things in our life.
Kayla has had a very hard past and that makes her want to fight and sacrifice anything to achieve her goal to become someone that has nothing to do with her past, to overcome everything, but for that she has to work hard and can't allow herself to get lost in Enzo's beautiful eyes or sexy smile. Lucky for her, Enzo is the perfect match as he knows how much space, patience and love, one needs to achieve said goal.
A story full of everything, young love, sad past, hard limits to overcome, heartbreak and the most important one, Love, the only answer for everything that comes in our lives, bad or good.
Read it,reveal it and even if you shed a tear be happy for their HEA.

Once again Mia Miller has taken my breath away. Truly His is beautiful in a raw and real way that is deeply emotional, moving and inspiring. Enzo and Kayla’s story is so filled with heartbreak, love and healing it’s nearly impossible to not be moved by it. Kayla is such a magnificent character. With a tragic past she’s still fighting to overcome but with a strength inside of her that not even she realizes. And Enzo is just as wonderful with his naturally gentle soul and endlessly loving heart. These two have a true journey of love full of growth that will have you crying and leave you head over heels in love with this book.

This is the second book in this awesome series, and is Enzo and Kayla’s story. Kayla has a tragic past which she battles to overcome. Enzo has a huge heart, and his patience is just what Kayla needs to move on. This is a beautifully written story, which is emotional, heartbreaking, raw, gritty, and filled with love which all leads to a powerful love story. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and I cannot wait to read more from this talented author.

I knew after finishing book one of the Truly Us series that I just had to keep going with the second book. And boy was Truly His such a treat, I never did guess at Enzo's character because he was secondary with his first appearance, but wow did Mia Miller have me changing my tune super quick. Even though this is a very heavy, emotional story which is hinted at if you read Truly Yours first, it was also super sweet at the same time and I enjoyed reading every word all the way to the end.

A chance encounter at a public pool was all it took to get the ball rolling for Kayla and Enzo. Each meeting bringing them closer together before they ever exchanged words. But with Kayla still haunted from a tragic past she only lets Enzo in physically which at first he's ok with letting her call all the shots. Finally after a few weeks Enzo puts his foot down wanting more and reluctantly Kayla agrees because she wants to take that step again and Enzo has more than proved himself. However doubts keep getting in the way of these two fully progressing in a relationship until secrets start being revealed, allowing a much needed healing process to take place for Enzo and Kayla to be happy together.

Enzo was most definitely the perfect mix of bad boy drummer with all those tattoos and sexy smirk and then super passionate and very patient nice guy. He was so wise beyond his 22 years and always had the right words to say, no matter what was going on. The only guy who truly brought Kayla to life and made her see for real that she was more than her past and worthy of happiness. What these two shared was real and beautiful and I like there were struggles instead of being anything instant. A lot of Truly His was heartbreaking to read and at times I wanted to jump in the story and smack everyone for their ignorance. Mia Miller didn't hold back and for that reason is the cherry on top for why I loved this book. I'm pretty sure this series is over which is sad but Mia Miller's writing will stick with me and I'm now on the lookout for what she has planned next.

Kayla Calhoun is a dancer who is afraid that her past is going to come back after her after some events that took place.
Lorenzo “Enzo” Galli is trying to make a living being in a band while being a good guy and trying to provide for his family.
When Kayla and Enzo meet they have chemistry and begin a no strings attached relationship but gradually the two begin feel more for each other. But will their respective pasts push them together or drive them apart?
This was a good read and I enjoyed it.
Kayla has had a rough go and I was so mad at her mom for the events of the past and how she refused to address what Kayla had been through. I was glad that she eventually opened up to Enzo about what she had been through and how he was so supportive of her and whatever she wanted to do.
I was surprised at learning more about Enzo and my heart broke for the comment made to Enzo, Kayla and Maddie while shopping. I hated how it affected Kayla and how she pulled away.
I was happy how Kayla realized everything she could have and the strength she got from having Enzo by her side. I loved how he supported her back in her hometown and the two dealt with every obstacle in their way.
The end was great and I was super happy how everything turned out! - By Rebecca

"Dancing meant freedom. Forgetfulness. Bliss. Turned out, Enzo meant all of that too. I was in trouble."

Kayla is an ambitious and dedicated ballerina. She also has her secrets, which are threatened with the advent of the gorgeous, cautious fellow early-morning swimmer she meets. For the first time in two years, she's feeling something, and she's not quite sure how to handle it.

"I just think, you're even stronger than I first imagined. And I'd be honored to define the rest of my relationships and the rest of my life with you."

Enzo is renowned for falling in and out of love quickly and often. The one time he meets someone who could go the distance, he has to keep her a secret. However, the fact that she's so skittish means withholding his own secret but for how long?

This was a great story dealing with an immensely sensitive subject. I loved Enzo's patience and kindness, and his dedication in making Kayla feel safe and open with him. He shows her through a multitude of actions how much he cares about her and her wellbeing. Kayla is so guarded that you wonder how Enzo ever got through to her. That's how powerful he was, and also how strong her own attraction and instinct to trust him were. Their story was moving, heartfelt and romantic, but also so full of hope and gladness.

She is not who she was. The moment she left she was reborn, and with help she continues to grow stronger.

Her new life she lives, eats, and breaths dance. The freedom it gives her to speak without words.

The beat dances in his mind morning, noon and night. His hand twitches to drum it out. Music his passion. His life.

Two artistic souls who both hold a life altering secret. Is it destiny that they meet? did fate intervene?

A beautiful read of healing your soul, and moving on.

Two characters who pull at your heart strings and leave you breathless, gasping for more and praying for a ray of light in their dark trying times.

She may be closed off, but it's self preservation.

He may be wary, but it's because he's been stung.

Together they have a lot of mountains to climb, but if they reach the top the view is breathtaking and all is beautiful.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have done with all of Mias books that I've read.

Its thought provoking and very real. Two qualities that greatly appeal to me.

It's a very emotional journey and I'm so glad I read this. As Im sure you will be too!

My review is 4.3 stars.

I have read #1 in the series "Truly Yours". And I would definitely say this that this one is better than the previous counterpart of its. Both the characters have been expanded really well. But for me Kayla is been the highlight. Great plot and lovely story. The pace of the story was little uneven for me, otherwise I really liked the way author wrote the scenes. That was the standout.

About the Author, I would like to say this that I have read all the books from Mia and really she has developed as an author. From her book #1 to this #3 book the development is great. The journey from "Love, On Hold" to this book is really good. I love her progress and definitely want more to read from her.

I would definitely recommend this book to readers.

Truly His is book two in the Truly Us series but it can be read as a standalone. Kayla and Enzo are great characters. Both have secrets. Kayla past and how her mom treats is crazy. She has a lot of opening up to do. Enzo is sweet and nice. I liked these two together. This one is definitely a heart string puller.

As I'd hoped it would, Mia Miller's writing gets better with each book. I enjoyed this sweet story, and yes, it's a novella, but that doesn't mean I can't want more.
