It’s a dream come true when Dani Walker opens the first donut food truck in her Central Florida town. Unfortunately, that dream is cut short with a slip and fall accident that lands her just outside the Pearly Gates. To learn that she has died is a great disappointment. But once the shock wears off, Dani is anxious to be reunited with her departed loved ones. It’s explained, however, that she must first complete an important assignment before being escorted into heaven.
Under the guidance of her feisty guardian angel, Karen, Dani is whisked back to earth with three rules to follow and a vague description of the mission she’s been tasked with.
After meeting the father and daughter who desperately need help, the task becomes even more complicated when romantic sparks fly. While Dani is reminded of the life and love she could have had, Karen encourages her to keep her eye on the donut and not on the hole.
Will Dani earn her halo and become a full-fledged angel? Or will Divine Intervention change the course of her life once more?

Stacey and her husband call the charming lakeside town of Mount Dora, Florida home, where she is HR Manager and Special Events Manager at the historic (and some say haunted) 1883 Lakeside Inn. She enjoys the beach, bicycle riding, camping, traveling, reading, photography, and spending time with her family.
On a much-awaited sunny afternoon, I decided to play truant and spend a few hours in the garden with a lighthearted book. Hmm, what to choose? The cheerful cover of Holy Donuts beckoned, and in seconds it was on my Kindle.
What a perfect choice. I spent a happy few hours enjoying this delightful story which engrossed me from the first word to the last. It is charming; the characters are likeable, and it has enough intrigue to keep those pages turning. And the story flows effortlessly and is full of heart and humour.
More than that, I don't (or donot!) want to spoil the plot.
This is a fun story about an angel who needs to complete a task to enter the Pearly Gates. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this short story as Dani Walker tries her best to complete her assigned task. Stacey Coverstone hits the mark again, with Holy Donuts!! Very likeable characters and a yummy setting.
This was short but sweet! The characters were very likeable, even Kelly, who was a very sullen, angry, rebellious teenager. Ms. Coverstone's easy, flowing writing style made this a fun and enjoyable read with a nice little twist at the end.
