The short readings in this book are a good way to start discussions on how globalization effects the US. Lifting the veil of socialization so that the larger picture of world trends can be seen is difficult. The readings in this book bring focus to such common social aspects, e.g. economics, politics, and social relations.

A really fascinating book. It is of course biased, but I believe it is impossible for such topics to not be biased.
