I never wanted a wife. Until I met her. All my life I've been a lone-wolf. My favorite things are fast cars and a glass of brandy after a long day. Things were perfect. Until my father reminded me he controls my inheritance. If I don't bring a wife to the next family vacation, he's cutting me off. I hate having my hand forced... But I've got a plan. I asked my assistant to find me the most non-wife-material girl he can dig up. Once I parade her in front of my father, he'll be begging me to divorce her. I'll keep my inheritance without having to change my life for anyone. It seemed so easy. Then I met her. She's everything I never knew I wanted. And when she finds out I picked her because I thought she'd never fit into my world... It'll break her heart. This novel contains a hot alpha billionaire who NEEDS a wife. He won't rest until she's locked down with his ring on her finger. NO cheating, lots of kindle-melting action, and always a happily ever after!
4.5 stars. An absolute winner and probably tied with "Dirty Promise" as my most favorite Penny Wylder release to date.
Penny Wylder is not only capable of writing sexy and erotic reads but she also has a talent for delivering a great story with smart and fascinating characters. This book was also warm, funny and romantic. Dee and Jasper made a great couple, I loved the chemistry that was so obviously between them from the moment they first met.
I super-loved this. Great writing. Highly entertaining. Sweet romance.
Definitely recommend picking this one up while it is still available at the 99c introductory price from amazon or borrowing as a KU read.

Oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to begin with this beauty, it blew me away, seriously I love it so much.

When I read the blurb for this beauty I just knew it was going to be a book I was going to love and boy was I right. It was everything I expected, everything I wanted and more. This book gave me all the freaking feels, so many feels.
Jason and Dee are spectacular characters.
Jason, the player, the guy that couldn’t possibly settle down because love, nah, he doesn’t do love unless it’s his cars or family. I absolutely adore that about him, he’s a family man. He’s loyal and loving and absolutely adorable around family. He has so much love to give even though he doesn’t realise it.
Dee, oh my god she’s my kind of people. She’s down to earth, fun, loving and absolutely awesome. She doesn’t care what people think about her. She’s a believer in family comes first, family is the most important. Her heartbreak she suffered is so sad and leaves your heart hurting for her and gah!
Put them both together and wow, that chemistry. I loved watching their friendship/relationship grow, I loved their interactions and their jokes, they made me laugh.
This whole book has made me smile so much, from the very first page I’ve been hooked and couldn’t put it down, I never wanted to. This is my first read from this author and certainly won’t be my last.
Penny Wylder did a cracking job on this captivating, fun, romance that’ll leave you wanting more.
Arranged fake marriage where the couple actually falls for each other. It was a good read and kept me turning pages until the end. I had to know what would happen next!
Okay, first off, this book is 400+ pages, not 193.
About the story? It was between meh and okay.
I'm a sucker for a fake marriage trope so after reading the synopsis, this book was a 10 for me.
Then I met the characters and was positively surprised until Dee, our heroine, agreed to pretend to be his wife right on the spot, without thinking about the consequences etc and the only thing she rambled about was the handwritten recommendation letter she would get for her future school. Let's add that she was his intern and somehow couldn't think of anything that would be a good enough reason to reject his offer. That was the first red flag. But I said, okay, that's a romance landia so I'll just shut my eyes to it and move on.
And the story goes on, they have fantastic chemistry, they do some talking and suddenly it all goes to hell when they jump into bed after a week! A week!!! And our hero, a confirmed bachelor, an obsessive skirt chaser and a commitment phobe, suddenly is so charmed with Dee's pussy and the magic she can do with her tongue that he starts changing his mind and falling for her... That's right, after a week and a good fuck. So that was another flag for me and the rating dropped to 4.5 stars.
The story goes on, they fuck like rabbits and our heroine's being called a gold digger and criticised for climbing the corporate ladder by sleeping with her boss. What's better, he knows about it and does nothing. And she keeps telling herself she's doing the right thing because apparently a month with Jasper is the main prize and it's totally worth it. Oh, and the handwritten recommendation letter, let's not forget that. That's when I started cringing and the rating dropped to 4.
But moving on, the month is over, they are heading to meet the family and Jasper, who doesn't wanna end things with her, still doesn't have time to talk to Greg (the creator of this brilliant plan and also his assistant and a cousin) that he changed his mind about their initial plan of presenting her as a gold digging hoe to his dad (great plan btw lol) and that he wants his folks to actually accept her. My rating dropped to 3.5-4.
So Greg talks crap about her left and right and later spills the beans to Dee about the details of their arrangement. She cries, tells Jasper to go to hell and leaves for the airport. And I started to rub my hands with excitement, hoping for some nice grovelling from him and some signs of self respect from her. I got nada. She didn't leave, forgave him everything right away and told him she loved him. The rating dropped to 3.
And when they got married the next day or so and fucked on the balcony and decided to drop condoms and start a baby factory right away, I rolled my eyes so much, I was afraid they'd fall out of their sockets. Hence the 2.5 star rating rounded up to 3 for the general idea and a really good writing style. Like I said, the story reads nicely but it wasn't exactly what I expected.
Oh, I almost forgot. She did get her handwritten recommendation letter from her father-in-law and got accepted into school. Yay! XD
This author is always a go-to for me when I am looking for a quick, hot read filled with insta everything and as usual this book had it all!!!! I liked it a lot but as much as love a good quick read, her stories do have potential to be longer with more “meat” but hey, it’s all good!!!!
ARC received by author in exchange for an honest review!
I really enjoyed this the start was a bit slow but once they met it was boom I was sold! It was fun and also refreshing to read how much she knew about cars and from the Quint cars! I liked Greg in the start but along the way I had mixed feelings about him, okay I got where he did come from. But as a good friend/colleague/distant cousin you would think he knows him better than any one!
I saw the drama coming but it still had a little twist in it so it was a bit surprising!
Great and lovable peeps! Also what a damn steamy book was this? I think I need a fan! That's how hot it was!
The Wife Arrangement by Penny Wylder is the story of Dee and Jasper. Jasper's father is setting to retire from the family business that is a famous company that builds cars. Jasper has fast cars in his blood and a playboy attitude that his father is tired of. Jasper's father wants him to settle down and take over for him after he retires but he feels with his son's playboy lifestyle he will never settle down. Jasper parents are in love as they were when they met so he knows that a true love marriage does happen but he has never met a women yet who has him thinking marriage. So him and his cousin/assistant comes up with finding the less perfect women for a pertain marriage to to make is so that his father wants him to 'divorce' her. Which enters Dee into the mix of being that women. Jasper thinks Dee would be perfect with her Walmart look, poor and looking to get a internship with his company. Dee at first wasn't on board but in need of this internship and with the promise of a letter of reconsideration she can't say no. What they didn't tell her was that they plan on making his family think she is a gold digger and totally not wife material. But the more Jasper gets to know her the more he feels she is the perfect wife not to mention his attraction to her. Great story!
I liked parts of it but NA is just not for me. I want my romance to be more romantic I guess and not so out there. I cringed at a couple of scenes even. It was just so porny. I liked the premise very much. Jasper was hot and he wanted a fake wife and he got Dee who I thought was innocent but she showed me! Wow. Those scenes were not for the faint of heart for sure. I liked the parts without all the 'aerobics' the best. But for those of you who love the NA genre you will probably love it. It's safe too. Just too much 'sweat' for me!
I think heroine forgave hero too easily for basically calling her a gold digging piece of trash. Yeah he changed his mind but idk she should have made him grovel a little bit at least.
This was like a sorta dirtier version of a Hallmark movie. Everything was OTT, not enough groveling and it all wrapped up with a pretty little bow on top. Totally un-freaking-believable.
But like my sister put it, we don't read for doses of reality. So this worked. :p
A fake engagement that turns into real love? Yes, please! The Wife Arrangement by Penny Wylder was such a great read! It was funny, romantic and steamy. I devoured it in one sitting as I could not put it down!
Jasper has never wanted to settle down to one woman. He has everything he needs and a family that means everything to him. He was a man that was caring and domineering. Dee was amazing. Her life has not been an easy one, but she was strong and determined to succeed. Both were great characters you could not help but love!
When Jasper father decides it is time to settle down, he finds himself in a bind. His father feels Jasper needs to be more settled in his life to be able to run the family business. So Jasper, with the help of his cousin, decide to find the worst possible wife ever so his father will let him be. Enter Dee. The down on her luck woman trying to find a way to fulfill her dreams. She is offered an opportunity of a lifetime, she just has to agree to the arrangement. And so the fun begins.
Jasper never expected to feel the chemistry and connection he feels for Dee. They have such great interactions and find themselves enjoying each other’s company. But Jasper has a plan he is determined to follow. Can they keep their arrangement as is or will they find themselves entangled in real emotions?
The Wife Arrangement was such a fun read! The characters and story was one I truly loved and was engaged with. It was surprisingly enough a sweet and steamy read and one I can easily recommend!
idk i feel like im being too generous giving this even a 2 stars-since there was stuff that made me snort and roll my eyes at too often. plus i took like 10 breaks in between and if a book is amazing, i dont leave my spot of reading, even if i have to pee. so that says something.
this was decent i guess. it was okay. i like the "fake wife" storyline if its written well and i guess this was done alright. nothing particularly stood out for me. the characters were okay, the writing was decent and the dialogue was fine. i liked the smut, however, i didnt like some of the dialogue between the duo & the dirty talk- it was silly & immature lmao and it made me laugh. if sexy shit makes you laugh you know its not sexy.
a few things annoyed me, like how dee accepts jasper back as soon as she finds out about the true initiative and forgives greg quickly (altho it was more jasper's fault for not telling greg beforehand) the fact that she's planned to go to grad school but is trying for a baby like... lol. i also didnt like not knowing the characters ages? it felt weird.
anyway, other than that, it was nothing to write home about, tbh. a decent read.
What in the world was this? It’s almost like the author read a book with the same storyline and thought, “omg, what if I write about the same thing too?!”
The book started off okay. Lousy and cliche, but okay. When the protagonists met, the author hit the fast paced forward x1000 times button. It showed that she wanted to get done with the book?
Also, the climax wasn’t even a climax. The dude was acting whipped. They instantly broke the contract. Also when they were getting the engagement ring and Jasper pocketed the one Dee really liked- OMG I CAN NOT WITH THIS BOOK.
I’d say the only interesting aspect of this book was well, the title perhaps. Lmao. I ain’t talking ‘bout this shit no more.
Jasper has been given an ultimatum, either get a wife or lose his inheritance to his fathers company to one of his cousins. The problem is Jasper doesn't want to settle down and when he comes up with a plan to have a faux wedding to a woman from the wrong side of the tracks and get her labeled as a gold digger, he figures his father will force him into a divorce. Then he meets Dee, the girl picked for the part. Dee wants to intern at the company and although she knows some of the plan she does not know all of it. When feelings become real during their pretending will they both find themselves wondering if they can turn this pretend relationship into something real?
This was great, I was charmed and thought the flow of the story was perfect. If your looking for something to read and smile throughout this is the one to pick up.
Picked for ‘arranged marriage’ trope as part of the #smutaphon challenge. I’d never heard of this author prior so I was looking forward to reading someone completely new to me. This was a nice quick read so much so that I could forgive how quickly dee agreed to the insane plan, and how fast the two fell for each other. I think after my previous read I probably needed something a little more instant. (God that was a slow read. I’ll get over it. Eventually). Jasper sounded every inch the sexy obnoxious alpha, and I lapped it up. Dee was a nice character too, a little rough around the edges, a tomboy in a shift dress. The story itself, whilst not the most original was still pretty enjoyable. However, those sex scenes. Good lord. If you’re a fan of dirty talk in its purest form then you’re in for a treat. However sometimes it’s a little overdone, particularly towards the end, I like a good sex scene but not three times in one chapter.
3 stars for this. It wasn’t the best book I’ve read this year by far, but I think I needed it. It was an easy read that I didn’t need to put any effort into. Yeah it was pretty generic, and the plot was easily guessed from the beginning, but if you’re looking for something quick and hot, this ones for you.
This was a quick, lighthearted, fun book that I couldn’t put down.
Jasper is a rich playboy with a passion for fast cars and women. He has no plans for setting down any time soon, or at all. But his father gave him an ultimatum. He has to settle down (aka get married) or his beloved company will go to someone else. Cue Dee. She is the perfect woman for all the wrong reasons, but somewhere along the way she becomes the perfect woman for all the right reasons!
I loved Dee! She is the best kind of person. She’s smart, easy going, and loving. She hasn’t had an easy life but she’s working hard to better herself. I wasn’t a fan of Jasper for the majority of the book. He was too cocky and sure of himself. It bugged me that he never pushed Dee about the problems she was having at work. He did redeem himself at the end with the ring!
I think I’ve read almost every book by Penny Wylder ,and I can say that The Arrangement Wife is her best one yet.
Love the way it is written , it is funny, romantic, kindle melting,
It got me laughing and swooning, Dee and Jasper are a great couple you can feel their chemistry from the beginning, love the dialogues between them and Dee's inner dialogues are so much fun.
If you want to read a happy, sexy ,no angst and OF COURSE a HEA book, I recommend you to read this book.
I received this ARC for my honest opinion and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been feeling sad lately and this AMAZING book was the perfect distraction from it.
A playboy billionaire whose family owns a car company is in need of a wife before his family's next reunion in a month. His father laid down the law that he needs to be married by then so that he could name him (Jasper) as the next CEO of Quint Motors, or he will give it to his cousin who is not nearly as good a businessman. His father is all about family and is really wanting grandkids to spoil. Jasper and his assistant, Greg, find a candidate in the group of interns who would provide the perfect cover as a wife that Jasper's father would hate and then insist that he divorce leaving Jasper to stay single and uncommitted.
Jasper and Dee spend the month getting to know each other (including physically) and they start developing feelings for each other. However, Dee only believes that Jasper needs a wife so his father will name him his successor, NOT that he choose Dee because he feels his family will hate her and consider her a gold-digger so that Jasper will be free to stay single and still be CEO.
This was a pretty good book. I teared up during a few moments thinking about Dee and how she is without her family and how Jasper seems to take his for granted. The ending was a bit rushed, but a good read, nonetheless.
I could not connect with this couple. The author told what happened instead of showing what transpired. Their relationship felt like a transaction from beginning to end. There were no conflicts, therefore no climactic moments. Overall, very blah.
There are books you read because you can’t put them down, and there are books you read because you have nothing better to do. This fell in the latter category. This book was not a winner (it feels weird calling it a loser?) from the beginning: the nonchalance of the male protagonist just didn’t translate from the screen to me, from the very first chapter; the words felt incredibly forced. Actually, now that I think about it, all my issues with this story stem from my strong dislike of him. And all the pos secondary characters. I think the only saving grace was the female protagonist, and I wasn’t her biggest fan. Also, the insta-lust; I guess I should have expected that, but I totally didn’t. There’s a sudden transformation in his character, but there isn’t much of a basis to it. When I was in high school, one of my English teacher’s motto was “show, not tell”. Emotions, descriptions, explanations - don’t tell the readers what’s happening, but evoke something deeper and show them. Her words have stuck with me, years later, and a benchmark for my judging of books/movies/music; there was none of the showing and all of the telling in this story.
I also have this like million strike policy with bad grammar and editing. I’m paying for a product, I want it at its hundred percent best, not “I-half-assed-this-for-the-sake-of-doing-so”. Even though I did it read it on KU, I’m paying for it and the author is getting paid from it. I don’t like reading books where I have to add and remove words and punctuation, and conjugate to the proper tense to make sense of what the author is trying to convey. It rarely happens that I DNF a book for this reason, but it irritates me beyond belief and taints my perception and experience. Am I being too harsh? Probably, because this seems to be a surprisingly frequent occurrence. Good grammar, proper tense, spelling, and punctuation were all drilled into me while I was still in elementary school, and it is still something I hold in high regard. Not going to apologize for it. I completely understand that language isn’t static and is constantly evolving; but I do have problems when people who write words for a living can’t distinguish between homophones and utilize the proper one in context. This was a tangential rant I didn’t mean to go on, but I guess it needed to come out of me.
I am a huge and I mean huge Penny Wylder and she never lets me down with a book.
Dee has had to fight for everything she wants her entire life, her love of car design has led her to apply for an intern job within the specialist car company Quint Cars she is ecstatic that they have chosen to offer her a job and cannot wait to start although there is more to her position than she ever expected. After being asked to pose as the sons wife for a family reunion was the last thing that she was expecting but after she agrees, she finds herself being swept away by the time she spends with Jason and falls hard and fast for the playboy and she can’t help but hope that look in his eyes when they are together is real. Could she have the fairy tale or is she destined for more heartbreak?
Jason has worked from the ground up to learn every aspect of the Quint Car business and when his father demands he get married before he takes the reins he and his assistant come up with a scheme find a woman who looks like a gold digger and get his father to demand he divorce her as not being good enough for the family, enter Dee she’s from the wrong side of the tracks and looks the perfect part of a gold digger. Jason wasn’t expecting Dee to be funny, and his equal in so many ways and having never told her the full plan he knows that he wants her to stay no longer content to have a fake relationship he wants the real thing and he wants it with Dee but what will he do when she finds out the truth of the plan and can he convince her that now what they have is real love?
Brilliant read from the start and I was hooked until the end.
Jasper is living an enjoyable and single life. He enjoys casual no-strings relationships, fast cars, good brandy and his family's business. His father is preparing to retire and Jasper is ready to take over, except his father has one stipulation - he cannot run the business until he is married. If he does not bring a wife to his upcoming family vacation, his father will pick a different relative to take his place. It's ok though, Jasper and his cousin come up with the perfect plan to make sure he will continue to live a solitary life the way he enjoys. He just needs to find a woman that is so far removed from wife material, his father will be begging him to get a divorce.
Enter Dee. Dee fits the bill perfectly in Jasper's opinion. She is desperate for an internship with the company and has zero fashion sense. Dee is hesitant at first, but she really needs this internship. Jasper conveniently leaves out the fact he plans to make his family think she is a gold digger and that he and his cousin will be highlighting her every flaw. Jasper knows his plan is fool proof. The only problem is, the more time he spends with Dee, the more he can actually imagine her as his wife.
I really loved this story. Dee and Jasper are so cute together and Dee is definitely my favorite Penny Wylder character to date. Her inner monologues were so funny and charming. I just really loved her and she was such a perfect fit for Jasper, even if they didn't want to realize it at first. A great easy, sexy, fun summer read.
This is the first book by this author that I read, and I loved it!! It was light, it was sweet and funny, and oh my it was sexy and hot and amazing!!
The story was so wasy to read and relax, and I loved the characters!! I kept feeling that I should've started reading this author sooner and know all of her plots and other characters!!
And it was so cool the feeling and the vibes from this book, it was like the characters were actually talking to us. I know, this might sound stupid, because being a story told from the hero/heroine points of view, this should be the rule. But it was more real this time somehow. It was like Jasper and Dee were having a conversation with me, they were really telling me their story and I was all ears!
Jasper and Dee were amazing! They had this crazy chemistry together, and I just wanted to see them combust in flames! They seemed so different at first, so from two complete different worlds, and maybe their backgrounds were in fact opposite, but they were so alike, they had so much in common!
And once you find everything they did in each other's arms, there is no way to left it behind.
So when you try to arrange a wife and it turns out to get you love arranged, you have to seal the deal!
If you're looking for a smoking hot, insta-love story, The Wife Arrangement is for you!! This short read is the perfect combo of lusty alpha gentleman, an independent, hardworking woman, and a pairing that working perfectly from start to end!
Dee and Jasper are too hot-to-trot from the instant they meet. Their chemistry is undeniable and I was wrapped up in their fake engagement from the start. I gobbled up their story in one sitting, feeling satisfied and jumping for glee at the HEA!
This story is the perfect beach read and will be a favorite for insta-love lovers!
Wow, what a book!. I fell in love with Dee and Jasper and they took me on quite a ride. Penny Wylder has done a great job with this book. The characters are captivating and the story is entertaining. Jasper needed a wife in order to get his inheritance and that's where Dee comes into the picture. Amazing how quick fake can become real. They were so perfect for each other and their chemistry was explosive. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review
I love this author's books she never disappointed me and Jasper and See were everything you want. Harper father has reminded him of his an inheritance and he must get married so he comes up with a plan. Having his assistant find the most unlikely woman knowIng his father will never approve. But in comes Dee. He wasn't expecting her and now he wants to keep her. But wants going to happen when Dee finds out he was using her at first.!
Jasper’s father wanted him married. So he and his assistant Greg, planned to find a woman to be his fake wife, met his family and divorce her. Dee applied for intership but got offered the gig. She agreed and along the charade, they fell in love.

This was really bad rom com mixed with really bad porn. Editing errors and cheesy dialogue, then you throw in the ridiculous sex scenes. The book had me cringing, rolling my eyes, and skimming.
