Piper:
From when I was a little girl, I remember playing hide and seek with my siblings and the Corbin boys. Emeric Corbin would always find me in my secret hiding spot.

When we played tag, he always made me it.

When we all played chase, Em chased me. And when he caught me, he held me longer than he should.

He made me like him.

Love him.

When I was twelve, I dreamt of him and me skinny dipping in the pool of my back yard. I was such a silly kid then.

One late night when I was thirteen, Emeric had tossed a pebble at my window to wake me. I wished he’d been a knight and would have kissed me once he climbed up to my window. That didn’t happen. He just wanted some handheld game back he’d let me play with earlier that day.

When I turned fourteen, that summer I sat at my open window and ogled him shirtless as he and his brothers mowed their grass every other Saturday. It was the highlight of my day then.

I turned fifteen, Em turned seventeen. He grew up. He dated. A lot. I tried to stop sneaking peeks his way—God I really did try.

But not hard enough.

When I turned sixteen, I drooled for Emeric Corbin. I drew hearts on my notebooks and had a red cut out of a heart taped inside my locker. It was our heart that he didn’t know about. Well, until he saw it by accident.

One day he kissed me.

Then broke my heart.

Pushed me away.

Then he left.

Em left me.

Now I’m home for two weeks. He’s here. Emeric. Looking better than the boy that broke my heart years ago.

Emeric:

I never saw her as a girlfriend. She was a friend—just a damn girl that lived next door. The prettiest girl I’d ever seen. We hung out ever since I could remember.

I was too old for her.

She was too young for me.

But damn she confused me—my head. My heart.

We had too much history between us.

I didn’t know myself when I was near Piper.

I didn’t want to hurt her again.

I left Kinley early to protect myself. To protect her from me.

Now I’m back. She’s back. And dammit, I can’t stay away from her. I want Piper Temple. Every part of her.

Blood Bayou Killer:

Isn’t that the most sweetest load of crap you’ve ever heard? I hid long enough and saw entirely too damn much. It was time to ruffle some feathers once more. Let’s see who remembers…me. Us. But only when I’m ready to strike and they least expect it.

Jordan started with a pen and paper and discovered her dream of writing. This southern Louisiana born lady, enjoys a good romance as much as she does writing them in her spare time. That is if she’s not hanging out with family and furry kids.
She’s never forgotten where she came from, though. Her past is her encouragement.

Romance and suspense

It is a continuation of series where Piper, a girl working in a law firm meets Emeric, who is now running a bodyguard firm. Emeric had broken Piper's heart when they had been younger, but now both of them cannot deny their feelings for each other. Their chemistry is off the charts and they decide to take it to the next level. That is when the suspense takes over. The Blood Bayou killer had been killing girls matching Piper's description and it had nearly stopped after Emeric had left town. But now the killer is back and he is definitely after Piper.

Emeric will do anything to protect Piper, but here the killer is unknown and Emeric has no idea what he is up against.

The story ends in a cliffhangar leading nicely to the next story.

Jordan Leger writes masterpieces~ The second book starts five years after the first one. Piper is a PA in a law firm in New York and is ready to go home for a couple weeks. Emeric is back at home, bought a place and is working as a bodyguard and bouncer. As soon as they see one another the fireworks go off and so do they! This book is FILLED with steamy scenes! All of a sudden the Bayou Killer strikes again once Piper came home. How many bodies will show up this time? Why is he so fixated on her? Will her family and Emeric be able to protect her? The killer is upping his obsession with Piper! Wonderful things are happening for Emeric and Piper…but they have this threat hanging over their heads! This is the start of a serious journey for Emeric and Piper. This book ends in another cliffhanger! Onto book three! I cannot put them down! I received this book for free and am leaving a voluntary review.

Book two in this series continues five years later, Piper is returning to Bayou for a holiday, not expecting to find her teenage crush Emeric back there working in his own private security company. Has there mutual maturity lead to forgiveness ??? With replicas of Piper disappearing everyone is under suspicion. Can Emeric redeem himself?? Again this book pulls you in with plenty of suspense, angst and steamy scenes, can’t wait for book 3 are we any nearer to finding the culprit ?? I was given this as an ARC by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was totally happy to provide.

mystery and romance

What a book! I love the romance between piper and her true love! I’m still trying to figure out who the serial killer is. The book is on the steamy your side, and it intertwined with a plot that’s been going on since book one. A serial killer is terrorizing the town, murdering girls that have brown eyes and brown hair. The author does include the serial killers perspective. But of course it’s unnamed. Will check out both three to see if I can figure out who it is. I enjoyed this read and will definitely read the rest of the series!

I got a free ebook copy of this in exchange for an honest review.

I am in love with Piper and Emeric and their love story. I also really like Alex. I have become attached to Em&Piper and the story and it's driving me crazyyyyyy that I don't have all the answers yet. Cliffhanger, of sorts, so I'm excited for when I can get to the 2nd book. I need to know all!!!

Also, I really hope everyone's okay. And I totally didn't experience any emotions regarding Smudge. None at all. I was just cutting a few onions. Casually. In my office. No worries. Nope.

This is the 2nd book in this awesome series. Piper has had a crush on her neighbour Emeric for years, but he left her heartbroken when he left town. Now years later they are both back in town, and he wants to make it up to her for hurting her years before. Problem being though, Piper is the next target of the killer! This is a fantastic story, which is well written and flawless. I was totally captivated throughout this page turner, and cannot wait to read more from this talented author!

I so love this series! At times I still wanted to slap Emeric, but I forgave him midway reading the book. The story continues with a killer still out there and has his mind set on Piper. The plot thickened and it's becoming an intense read.
Jordan has a little of everything in this one. Steamy, mystery, nail biting, and emotion. I for one can't wait for book 3!

Wow! This book was even better then book 1, it picked up 5yrs later with Piper and Em both happening to be back home at the same time and the first time Emeric caught a glimpse of Piper he knew he couldnt let her slip through his fingers again. It had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning..I cant wait to read the next book..

This author has me caught up in this series. Piper comes back from New York hot and sexy. Em felt like a slap in the face when he saw her get out of the truck. Tension between them gets hot but Piper is afraid to let the relations ship go more since he hurt her before. Not going to give it away but there is a Cliffhanger.

Leveled up on the heat and thrill.

The second book in the series really amps up on romance, heat, thrill and suspense. I don't think I can't possibly enjoy the characters any more than I do now. so, that really leaves me looking forward to finding out what happens in the next book, and maybe finding out who the blood bayou killer is.

Really love this series! Loved meeting Pipe and Em! I love how he grew as a person... Although at times, even I wondered about him... Was there another side to Emeric??? Funny thing was I mistakenly read Forgiven before Crushed... Was so well written, I didn't realize it. Broken hearts can be mended.

I really enjoyed this book! Continuing on a while after the first book, we get to see where Piper and Em’s lives have taken them after finishing school and moving away from each other. I really enjoyed the character development and the mystery of who the “bad guy” is! I honestly have no idea and it’s going really good!! Can’t wait to read the next one!
