Bei einem nächtlichen Picknick auf dem berühmten Knochenhügel tauchen seltsame Riesenfledermäuse auf und entführen Ludo, den Freund der Vampirzwillinge.
Nach etwas schwächerem Anfang wird es noch richtig gut!
Der typische herrliche Wortwitz kommt wieder wunderbar rüber. Nachdem ich die ersten Bände als eBook ausgeliehen hatte, habe ich diesen Band als Printausgabe gelesen und war von schick gemachten Anhang (weisse Schrift auf schwarzem Grund) mit einer Auflistung der wichtigsten vampwanischen Worte begeistert.

Eigentlich wollten Daka und Silvania nur ein Mitternachtspicknick mit ihren Freunden Ludo und Helene veranstalten, aber dann sind bissige Gäste im Anflug.

Nach dem gandiosen letzten Band hatte das Buch es einfach schwerer zu überzeugen, dennoch konnte es mich wieder gut unterhalten. Die Atmosphäre beim Picknick war stellenweise gruselig. Es gab auch wieder einige Lacher, aber nicht ganz so viele wie ich es sonst in der Reihe gewohnt bin. Die Transgiganten fand ich leider auch nicht so ganz überzeugend.

In Sweden this book is released in a Swedish version specifically promoted to female readers aged 10-14. I can see how a girl could relate better to it (being girls as the main characters) but felt there was no need to keep it from my eight year old son even though I had to read it to him due to the amount of text. The language was easy enough and the content was neither hard to understand or inappropriate.
I am glad I didn't keep it from him because he loved it. He laughed a lot and it made me laugh also. He couldn't understand why they hadn't made this into a tv-series yet and told long stories about how funny the pics to the book would have been if there only had been some.
You will find a good portion of warmth, laughter, mysteries and action in this book.
