The moment I looked into his eyes, I knew I was in trouble.
The second I heard his name, I knew I should stay away.

Our fathers were mortal enemies—Chicago crime bosses from rival families.

But that didn’t stop Leo Conti from pursuing me.
Being together was dangerous, reckless, and totally hot.
He wanted me. I wanted him.

Nothing could possibly go wrong.
Right?

Favorite Quotes:

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but I disagree. My father learned; he just ignored the hell out of the lessons…

No other woman, besides my mother, scares the crap out of him quite like his sister. She’s a tiny thing, but man, the mouth on her gives me life goals.

“You’re going to need to cut down on your stress as soon as possible. Also, add some fiber to your diet. You’re constipated, which made the cramping worse than normal.” Daphne shoots me a death glare. “Bella… I always knew you were full of shit, but now the doctor’s confirmed it.”

“Your father wants to elope to Vegas and be married by an Elvis impersonator.” She rolls her eyes… “An ex-mobster in a gangster town is not a smart combo, dear.”

My Review:

Family drama plays heavy in this volume featuring the snarky drama queen of Daphne, who finds herself inexplicably drawn to the son of her father’s chief rival. Humor, angst, and sensual sizzle were well balanced throughout this smirk-worthy and engaging read. I adore Ms. Bliss’s bawdy humor and alluring characters. I am already feeling greedy for the next installment.

MY THOUGHTS:
This is one of those books where you read the blurb and immediately add it to your TBR list. There is always something about forbidden love that captivates me but to then add the Mob into the mix and I am in reader’s heaven.

This book had everything I look for in a good read, angst and plenty of it, chemistry, passion and good old fashioned drama in the mob variety. Chelle has written another 5 star read for me, she has ticked all the boxes.

I loved Delilah and Leo’s characters, their connection maybe forbidden but it was sure entertaining and at times quiet humorous reading their encounters. Chelle has a clever writing style that deeply interests me, her characters have depth and real personality leaving me invested in them and their story.

This has been a 5 star read for me. I can’t fault it. Brilliant writing, excellent editing, style, flow and pace on point. I loved every page!

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but I disagree. My father learned; he just ignored the hell out of the lessons…

Oh. My. God. This book was everything I needed and then some, I do enjoy me some mob family books. They’re a fave of mine

ARC Recieved in exchange for an honest review

When I first read the description of this book I knew I had to read it, it sounded like my kind of book and it didn’t disappoint. It was everything I expected, everything I hoped for and more. There’s nothing more interesting in a book about mobs than family rivalries, they’re intriguing and that’s what Flow is all about a rivalry between two mob families.

The Gallo and Conti families have been at war with each other for as long as they can remember but things are quickly about to change when Delilah and Leo meet. Things take an unexpected turn that lands them linked together and damn, it’s quite the fun story these two have.

Their story is fun, intriguing and down right sexy. Their sexy times leave you needing a cold shower ASAP.

Chelle bliss did incredible with this book which is actually my first book I’ve read from this author. I’m definitely intrigued by the other members of the Gallo family and hope to read their stories some time soon.

Flow is the first book I read by Chelle Bliss and I’m wondering why it took me so long to do so.

Daphne meets Leo at her brother’s wedding reception. She literally almost falls to her knees in front of him. Like the swoon worthy hero he is, Leo grabs her before she falls. The attraction from there was instantaneous, electric and undeniable. The pull is so strong between them that it was hard for them to let go.

But, for all the intensity and passion they share, their love is forbidden. Their families have been feuding for what seems like forever.

Will Daphne and Leo stay away from each other ignoring the spark between them; or, will they indulge in what they so desperately need risking all out war between their families?

I love a book that makes me feel and this book was definitely that.

From their first meeting, the attraction between Daphne and Leo was palpable. Their relationship was a slow-sizzling-burn but, it burned oh SO good!

This author provided a sweetness to this story, as well as some moments of hilarity which I enjoyed tremendously.

I would have liked to see more development into Leo and Daphne’s relationship. It is quite the whirlwind from start to finish. I also thought the resolution was too easy and a little unrealistic for families who have been feuding for so long.

Regardless of this, I was both invested and pulled in by this story from the very beginning and it did not let up until the very end.

5 star Review Flow ( Men of Inked: Southside #2) by Chelle Bliss

Not only are the Gallo men outstanding but so are the women. I absolutely loved Daphne Gallo and the man who captured her heart Leo Conti. Flow is the second book in the series and though a quick read it certainly packs an awful lot into it.

Of course being a Gallo it means that the course of love does not run smoothly, particularly for Daphne as Leo is the sworn enemy of a rival crime family who her father loathes.

Despite that, Leo has no hesitation in going after who he wants and he wants Daphne. The chemistry between them is off the charts and as always it was great to see some familiar faces pop onto the story.

I love the Gallo family and when I start a new book it feels like I am coming home. Betty is such a great character that I cannot wait to see what mischief she gets up to in future books. I love that at the heart of these books is the love of family and what they will do for each other and those they care about.

This was a fast paced, hot, steamy story full of surprising twists and turns which will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once click now you will not be disappointed. Chelle Bliss has another winner on her hands in my opinion.

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

Since cracking open my very first Men Of Inked story Throttle Me, I have become obsessed and enchanted with the Gallo family. They took my heart by storm and they have never let it go. So to say that I am giddy with excitement when I get to read another book about the Gallos by Chelle Bliss is an understatement. Now after reading Hook, the first book in her new Southside Men of Inked series, I was more than ready to pull up a bar stool in their Chicago bar Hook & Hustle and watch another steamy, gonna make you sweat love story go down. It wasn't long into Daphne and Leo's story in Flow and I was hanging onto every word and waiting for the sparks to fly!

Daphne is another strong, stubborn, and opinionated Gallow woman like Izzy in Resist Me...sigh! Getting to know more about her and watching the steam rise between her and Leo was like coming home. What I love most about Daphne is that as stubborn as she is, she is all heart and would do anything for her family. And let me tell you, she can give as good as she gets both in and out of the bedroom which gives her whirlwind romance with Leo all the sass and sizzle that a reader can take.

Leo Conti is so much more than just an Italian stallion and Daphne's family enemy. I enjoyed every moment of getting to know this head strong and gorgeous business man that is not going to let an old family rivalry keep him from the vixen that he falls for at first sight. Nothing gets me all warm and tingly like a hero that chases after his woman and shows her that their love is impossible to ignore. The chemistry between these two is instantaneous and combustible from the time they meet!

Chelle Bliss delivers another scorching addition to her newest series Men Of Inked:Southside that is sure to make readers hearts pitter patter and have them salivating once again for her newest dynamic and amazing couple. I highly recommend Flow for a nonstop, fast paced forbidden romance that will leaving you wishing for more time with the crazy, loveable, and wild Gallos. I can never tire of stories penned by Chelle Bliss and always look forward to reading another. Until we meet again Gallos...until we meet again.

She is the daughter of former con. He is the son of her family's sworn enemy. But when Daphne and Leo come together unexpectedly, sparks fly, and the old adage "blood is thicker than water" comes into play as family ties are called to question, and an unexpected love between two people brings a new dimension into a feud battled for decades.

When Leo and Daphne come together, sparks fly, the sex is hot off the charts, and feelings develop unexpectedly. But can Daphne be able to protect Leo from her father? Will she get the happily ever after she deserves, even at the hands of her father?

Daphne is a take charge girl, in the same style of Izzy Gallo, and if you know me, you know I devoured the Men of Inked Series! This book has it all and so much more. A page-turner from the start, you will fall in love with Daphne and Leo, and beg for more Gallo family stories for the rest of your life.

This second book in the Men of Inked: Southside series definitely flows. Leo and Daphne's story is one of forbidden love, chance meeting and something so right cannot be wrong. Flow will capture you from the very first minute and have you totally captivated to the very end. Their story is super hot, sexy and packs a punch. As two people who are drawn to each other try to not only fight their attraction but the family influences that makes this love such a bad idea. A book that will have you falling in love with not only them but their story.

Title: Flow (Men of Inked: Southside Book 2)
Author: Chelle Bliss
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5/5

Arc received in return for an honest review.

Chelle Bliss is back with this, the second book in her Men of Inked, Southside series.

I can’t even begin to tell to you how happy I was to be back with the Gallo family, it felt like coming home, as usual Bliss has done an amazing job of making us readers feel like we’re part of this crazy, loving bunch, this time it’s Daphne the only daughter of the broods turn at literally stumbling into love.

We’re introduced to Leo Conti, son of Chicago crime boss Mario Conti who’s Mr Gallo’s mortal enemy so you can only imagine the trouble that could arise if Daphne and Leo were to hook up which is exactly what happens after their accidental meeting at Lucio and Delilah Gallo’s wedding. Leo is his own boss he’s never been part of his fathers crime empire but that doesn’t make it any less dangerous for him and Daphne to be together yet they can’t stay away from one another, he has to decide on a way they can be together especially when a situation arises that’s set to change their lives forever.

Love, loyalty and passion between not only immediate family but those around them is what makes this family and these books a firm favourite of mine, I can’t quell my excitement when I know there’s a new release from Chelle Bliss on the way at the best of times but there’s just something extra special about the Gallo’s and I’m really looking forward to seeing what’s in-store next from them.

With relationships brimming with romantic tension, this modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet is set in the violent underworld of the Chicago mob. The idea of forbidden romance and warring families is not new, but it seemed unique in Flow. This story gives dark and dangerous vibes and at the same time it is really romantic. Chelle Bliss’s writing style is easy to read.

Daphne Gallo is the daughter of a man who has spent most of his life in and out of prison. Leo Conti has the looks of a bad boy gangster, is the son of another prominent mob family, and yet he is anything but. Daphné and Leo both want to live a normal life away from the violent Chicago mob world. Their families hate each other and Leo and Daphne are being watched while their romance quickly develops. I really liked both Daphne and Leo. Despite their circumstances and the fact that they were both born into mafia families and had no way out, they were really honorable characters. This was an entertaining and quick read.

My honest review is based on an advanced reader copy of this book.

Flow is book two of the Men of Inked series. I will say this is my first book by Chelle Bliss ever so I can safely say you do not have to read the first book 'Maneuver'.

I found Chelle to be a fresh read (to me). I really enjoyed this story about Daphne and Leo. Two enemy families and Daphne and Leo know they are not supposed to have anything to do with each other. They know this, and yet they will defy everything they know and are to find each other and love.

You have to love forbidden love stories.

A super fast paced forbidden romance, Flow continues to follow the Gallos. We now got our second female Gallo book featuring Daphne.

Daphne bumps into Leo literally and sparks fly between these two. The one big issue is that their fathers are enemies.

This storyline is fast paced and I flew through this book. Leo was determined and Daphne was stubborn but that’s exactly what I expect from a Gallo female.

This is an easy read and the two main characters fit well together. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one .

Daphne Gallo has enough going on in her life with her Father getting out of prison and finding his place in the family again and the bar to run, she doesn't mean to bump into Leo Conti. Leo is from the Conti family and is a sworn enemy to her family, but from the instant she meets him she wants him. Leo feels the same but they can't be together without causing problems for the family, or can they?

Leo is a man who gets what he wants and he wants Daphne. He knows what they are doing is dangerous but he also knows if he lets her go it will be like losing a piece of himself. Two families suffering the fate brought on by their fathers, can Leo find a way to make Daphne his?

This was good, I was curious where the story with Daphne's father would go and his is an interesting tale. I thought this was a great story, chemistry between Daphne and Leo is sizzling from the very beginning. Entertaining read, well worth picking up this series.

I didn’t think Chelle Bliss could create another Gallo female who could rival my love for Izzy Gallo, but Daphne Gallo is a close second, which is why it makes sense that she would fall for a guy who she has no business falling for and go through the torment and the trouble of giving into her attraction and desire for the enemy because sometimes the body and the heart come to an agreement that the head wants nothing to do with, but because it’s outvoted, it has to learn to deal with the hand it was dealt, which means figuring out a way to accept the fact that Leo Conti is the man Daphne wants, despite the plethora of reasons she should stay away.

Daphne and Leo come from rival families and the fact that their fathers hate each other illustrates just how ill-advised it would be for the children of mortal enemies to become involved, but hell if Leo isn’t one persistent alpha male who won’t stop until he claims the woman he wants desperately, which means that a shitstorm is headed their way and where these two end up due to the outside pressure on both sides of them will depend on a number of mitigating factors, forcing both Daphne and Leo to decide if betraying their family by being together is worth the wrath, the risk, and the devastation that it could possibly lead to when their forbidden love affair is brought out in the open.

Because Flow’s storyline is fast-paced, everything between Daphne and Leo moves forward quickly, forcing them to go all in with each other, risking so much more than just their hearts, because there’s nothing that two rival crime bosses won’t do when it comes to protecting their own, but what they consider theirs may not but what readers expect.

I really enjoyed Daphne and Leo’s story. Daphne does remind me a lot of Izzy, but Daphne also has her own quirks and her resilience shines through in ways that truly define who she is all on her own and gives her a uniqueness that may be pure Gallo female but it’s also pure Daphne based on what readers learn about her throughout the course of her story. Leo is EVERYTHING! I loved his drive, his stubbornness, his cockiness; he has all the makings of a Chelle Bliss badass hero and his words and actions prove just who he is and what he’s made of, and it’s beyond obvious that his desire for Daphne is something he’s unwilling to give up without one hell of a fight. And, that’s what I find incredibly sexy about him.

I always love heading back into Chelle Bliss’ Gallo world; I’m so glad she branched off of the initial series to bring her readers more Gallo goodness, and I can’t wait for more.

Daphne Gallo Knows she is in trouble when she lays eyes on a mysterious man but when she discovers his name, that seals the deal that she should stay well away from him. Their fathers are sworn enemies, crime bosses from rival families. Leo Conti doesn’t care who they are and what it means, he can’t and won't be deterred.

Daphne is very much a family girl and the only female sibling with very protective brothers. Not to be fooled, she’s very gutsy and full of sass. However, she knows that it is a car crash waiting to happen if she was to get involved with Leo. The family are hard-working law-abiding citizens, but their father has led a life of crime and has spent most of his children’s lives in and out of jail. Daphne steers clear from that lifestyle as does Leo.

Leo is a hardworking businessman of a reputable chain of hotels. His father is like Daphne’s father and delves on the wrong side of the law. Their fathers were once friends but fell out many years ago and are now arch enemies. Leo can’t resist the charms and beauty of Daphne and will not be deterred from pursuing her.

The two spend a bit of time together, Daphne feels guilty at the trouble it will cause and tries to break things off. Leo tries to fight for the woman that has captured his attention and it just seems an impossibility for the two star-crossed lovers to continue the path of their attraction.

The chemistry is off the charts and was oozing between every scene and word written. I was rooting for these two and felt that knowing the backstory, them ever being together was hopeless. It was as if the side characters had a radar and knew the protagonists were seeing somebody in secret. Flow was enjoyable to read, the supporting characters as they were just as interesting. I’m intrigued by Daphne’s best friend Michelle. There’s a lot of mystery surrounding her but it made me chuckle how she knew Daphne was up to no good with somebody that was completely forbidden.

I enjoyed this offering but did want a bit more. As this is a series, I hope we’ll get to see them again and judging where their story took me, I’d love to find out what happened, especially as the ending and all the characters are shrouded in mystery. The author pulled me into this story and I look forward to the next installment.

The Gallos are back!! I needed this so much! TO be back in the world of one of my most favorite fictional families. I just can’t get enough of them. And Daphne Gallo is everything you would expect from a kick-azz Gallo-female.

I knew nothing going into this story, went in completely blind apart from the knowledge I’d meet some of my Gallos again. So … I didn’t necessarily expect rivalry between mob families. Man, was I in for a ride.

The Gallo and the Conti family have been at war with each other for so long. Yet, Leo Conti shows anything but hesitation to chase after Daphne Gallo – after she so gracefully bumped into him at a wedding reception. Sparks are flying, and Leo would be damned if he didn’t explore that unexplainable draw he feels toward her in more detail …

Things heat up and escalate quickly in this fast-paced romance with a touch of forbidden. I loved Daphne’s stubbornness and Leo’s determination and the little twists and turns Ms. Bliss put into their path. The pages just flew by, but revisiting the Gallos and feeling the tight-knit bond they all share always feels like I’m meeting up with long-time friends again, so this didn’t come as a huge surprise.

I’ll probably always need more of my Gallos, so I’ll just be here. Waiting. For the next book in the Men of Inked: Southside series.

We all know that Italian women are stubborn and hold the keys to the kingdom so to speak and Daphne Gallo is no different. With four overprotective brothers, a girl needs to be able to stand up for herself. But sometimes, she just wants to let go... and when Daphne decides to let go, she goes big.

So when she runs into a mysterious man at her brother's wedding, she's ready to have a little fun. That is until she finds out that the man of her dreams is the son of her father's mortal enemy. Even though she has nothing to do with her father's "business" when Leo Conti says the same from himself, she doesn't know if she should believe him or not. She knows that she shouldn't have anything to do with him, but the attraction between the two of them is magnetic. So when a situation occurs that makes it impossible for her to leave him... how will their family's ever be able to be together without killing each other.

I loved Daphne and ADORED Leo! He was persistent and romantic and the perfect person to stand up to the strongwilled Daphne. Life is wonderful with more Gallos in it!
Love this series and love Chelle. Can't wait for more of our southside Gallos!

Go with the Flow

Daphne Gallo is fearless, driven and passionate. I want to be Daphne so badly. At her brother Lucio's wedding, she gets over the top intoxicated and literally falls into the arms of Leo Conti. The upside Leo is gorgeous, hot and sexy, downside he is the son of her father's arch enemy. This is definitely a recipe for disaster in the making. Daphne's family are not shrinking violets, and they are not shy at voicing their opinions on this pairing. Leo takes no prisoners when he wants something, and he wants Daphne.

The two of them band together to try and convince their fathers that they are meant to be together. An impossible feat to conquer when they are dealing with two crime bosses. Either they accept their relationship or they will renounce them. This was a sharp witted, entertaining story. Chelle Bliss triumphs when she writes about family. She is in her element and it's always a delight to read.

Two kids (now adults) are members of a Chicago crime family. Their fathers, who use to be friends, are now enemies.

Daphne is at her brother Jake's wedding to Delilah (J & D met in Maneuver) and is knocking back the drinks. She ends up pitching forward and being saved from hitting the floor by Leo. There's an instant attraction.

Leo, he's the son of Daphne's father's enemy. He's not at the wedding to cause trouble. Just wants to see if the intel about Daphne's father being released from prison is true. Leo has nothing to do with his father's "business" and wants to make sure he and his siblings are safe.

The two of them fight their attraction, but chemistry is chemistry. How will they maneuver this whole situation without getting each other killed.

Continuing the traditional of the Gallos, the south side family is just as loud, and in your face as the original Gallos Chelle has written about!! This family is funny, crazy and oh so loving!! When Leo meats Daphne, sparks fly and there is an immediate attraction to each other. But once they find out who each other is, they learn that being together is nearly impossible because their fathers are lifelong enemies. Will they be able to figure out a way to be together without causing a war!! And what happens when everything changes?? This is a book you just can’t put down!! I loved it!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Romeo and Juliet have nothing on the Gallo's and the Conti's!

Daphne Gallo and Leo Conti are the proverbial star-crossed lovers. Being the children of rival mob bosses makes their romance not only defiant but dangerous. Daphne is scared of blowback if they are ever seen together. Leo knows the danger but wants her anyway. He pulls out all the stops to get her into his life while she drags out every excuse why they can't. Fun is watching him lock her down with passion and promises. This is why I keep coming back to Chell Bliss books. She takes a story and makes you feel like you are watching it happen instead of just reading it. The Gallos are my virtual family. :) Bring on Hook!!

Chelle Bliss is back with this amazing family y'all... delivering the second standalone installment in this series and what a great journey it was... exciting, heart pounding, sexy, fun, loads of feels, and intense right from the very start.

I gotta say those Gallos sure know how to captivate, hold on tight and this series. ..book is absolutely no different. Flow wrapped me all up from the very beginning. I could not get enough of Leo and Daphne... and you know what, all its going to take is one forbidden moment to shatter everything between them. Undeniable chemistry. Unforgettable moments. You have to read it to believe it.

I love Chelle Bliss' Men of Inked series and the people in it so it's always fun to step back into their world, even a spin off as such, to experience it all over again.

I definitely recommend this book.

The blurb was the initial reason I was drawn to this book. It sounded like something that was right up my alley. There was a Romeo, and Juliet feel to it. Although, I think that the "forbidden" part of the story was lacking and could have been played up more. We were led to believe that was the aspect of their relationship but then that whole plot point just fell flat. It could have been so much more.

Daphne and Leo do have some chemistry. There was a bit of a forced feel to it, but I'm not sure if that was because this was kind of a short book and everything was crammed into it. The resolution to the "conflict" came to easy for my liking as well.

I think Chelle is a good writer and I would check out her books again. I think this one just didn't work for me overall. It is an "it's me not you" thing.
